"We're expecting the arrival of our first signee, former Aberdeen FC Striker and Scotland’s own Darren “Daz” Mackie. He’s a very well-known European footballer, a huge star in Scotland and for Phoenix FC to sign a player of his stature is being looked upon greatly in North American soccer.

 

There will be a welcoming party at the airport’s Terminal 4 today at 7 p.m. We’re expecting dozens of his and Phoenix FC’s fans to greet him…including the supporter group La Furia Roja! We anticipate a great, rowdy scene to welcome Daz, his wife Jenni, son Kobe and daughter Izzy along with two cats, as they come stateside. Phoenix FC management will be on hand as well.

 

Daz is a charismatic and seasoned veteran who is excited to be playing in the Valley and we’d love to introduce him tonight to your audience.

What does it say about the standard of football at Aberdeen that we have just given a third contract to Magennis. As bad as Mackie was be was still better than Magennis.
