This is what its like just South East of Gorgie. Like many roads not been gritted once. Ice I was standing on was 4-5 inches thick but not too slidy at the moment, but getting worse as it melts and re-freezes. Gorgie Road is apparently fine and the pavements too, but the side streets down the back of Tynecastle are not too different from this. I am still a bit worried the police will get all health and safety.

Its not been that bad, just ambassadors reporting back to the US saying bits and bobs, more embarrassing for the countries involved. The rape bit, is a bit strange as no actual charges have been made and the original case was dropped in August. There are 4 charges in total, the rape on the most serious.

Wikileaks was/is a website set up so people could post up anonymous news stories and leaked information from organisations rather than having to send a paper copy to a newspaper/meet a journalist. It got send 250k files from an American soldier recently and its caused the fuss.

It would have helped if the council workers had done the same. Bin lorries not been out due to the weather - so where are their workers? Sitting in a shed drinking tea I would bet. One of the depots is off Russell Road (where the away coaches park) but the paths have not been cleared once.

American politicians stating they wish Assange to be executed/kidnapped on the streets of London Strangely no action has been taken against the Guardian, New York Times, Der Spiegel, El País, Le Monde and others who are also publishing these documents which were stolen by an American soldier from a shockingly open system. Is Sarah Palin going come onto Fox news and ask for the owner of the New York Times to be executed on his doorstep? No. The documents released are no where near revealing as the actions taken against wikileaks.

Temperature sitting at -6c outside the office and it was down to -16c during the night. Resulting in compacted frozen ice as I feared, at least the main roads seem a bit clearer but side and residential roads still not seen grit since the snow started last Sunday.

To be fair to him he did sort out the Motherwell defence which was shipping goals, a bit like ours is at the moment. But yes a younger manager would be preferable.
