Maginnis spoke to me down the phone yesterday

My mate spoke to WM in the directors box after the game, apparently things are going well...

I gave him 85mins of looking pretty poor, but when he had the chance to play a simple ball in to 1 of 4 players running past him through the pars defence and would have been 1 on 1 with the goalie but decided head backwards and take on a midfielder then trip over the ball - I really knew he was gash. To add insult to injury we were then told that it was a vastly improved performance from him compared to the Peterheid game. He did get a header on target from a cross after that which the keeper had to make a smart save from but if he is going to be utilised its going to be him sitting up front and hitting balls at his heid.

Put Magennis back as a keeper, he may actually be of use for once.

I felt the positivity exuding from the crowd yesterday.........hing fire, no I didnt. i would be a lot happier if we signed Ahmed rather than Hendrie. Nevermind the trialists - the two signings of Maginnis and McArdle - the two worst players on the park by a country mile.

Some of our lot said that too, never saw it myself. He wasnt bad but he didnt stand out for me.

As jute said, Ahmed, Williams & Megginson looked good and possibly Smith. We were a bit shaky but hopefully will look better once players are played in their correct places. I really hope we sign Ahmed, I have heard he has injury problems but he was far better than Hendrie and was trying hard, completing passes and screaming at Ifil for being crap - which was an instant like.

Magennis & McArdle - truly awful tonight. Magennis - Imagine Tommy Wright with none of his fight, less pace, less skill, combined with the first touch of Mackie, the urgency of Lee Miller and a dash of John Stewart.
