You said Duff was the best man on the park, I disagreed because he couldn't put simple passes together. What I meant was way too early/too far infront

I dont hate Duff (but possibly JC ) I just don't think is as good as the players he is replacing. If someone says I think he had a good game, I have to disagree. Yes it is only pre-season but that can excuse players being in wrong positions playing ball to early/ late to runners etc. It doesn't however excuse simple football errors of not being able to pass the ball 10 yards to another player, that is simply bad football.

Even budgie used to score quite a few in the reserves But as you say if he gets some confidence and the right balls played into him he may do alright.

Is it just me or does Bossu not remind you of Hen Broon?

He tried the hardest last night and quite often does that in games and does have some good poaching ability, however I am worried that he doesnt have the footballing ability outwith that to be a top striker. He's signed on, so lets hope he does well this season. At least Aberdeen Ladette will be happy

Kerr was probably the player I was watching most last night to see how he would do. He had an ok game, but really reminded me of Barry Ferguson (in a crab way). Everything was sideways or backwards very little went forwards. He also showed his love of passbacks, not the best thing when Langfield is there and in that strong swirling wind. Thankfully he did only one or two to Langfield, however did a few back to Considine and one was pretty stupid and a faster/fitter opposition striker would have intercepted and been straight through as the passback was played out wide. The only thing I could argue with is you thinking Duff was out best player - he was poor. Kicking balls quite a few balls out for thrown ins under little to no pressure and unable to complete simple short passes.
