Have we looked good or are St J crap then
-
Had no idea he had been released by ICT. Is full back cover really what we require though? I suppose if he was looking for no more that 1500 a week he would be a decent squad player but really couldnt see him ever starting unless Logan picked up an injury or suspension. I know he has played left back too but if Consi got injured I'd prefer Harvie to come in for a few games or put Shinnie back there.

Nicholas and Gillhaus werent that bad either
-
Was the signing I was least fussed about if it didnt happen but even at 34 he should be a class above everyone else in the league bar the Dhims. Irony is with his delivery Gash would probably have been a more potent threat from set pieces. Consi should get a fair few tho

sevco 1-0 up but are totally horseshit 55 gone
-
Tattie Cooper. Suffered heart attack earlier hours of this morning has had a stent inserted and now recovering in hospital. Still havent forgiven the hunco aberration mind...
-
Ive not checked but theres usually a stream available on The Huns Den of sevco tv......word of warning have a suitable receptacle to catch projectile vomit into should you choose to listen to the commentary. Though can be comically funny if things aint going the tribute acts way......decent looking English totty doing half time /full time summary if that is your bag too..... however all round id still recommend the mobdro option
-
he was pictured yesterday morning going for talks with the cabbage. but deffo agree he was never ever gonna sign up there
-
oh and lets make this the official Good Luck Progres Niederkorn thread
-
never pay for premier sports. watch it on mobdro free gratis

That's the figure being quoted on hun boards. Its not a genuine offer its a signal to McLean that they are interested in an effort to unsettle him. Expect an increase to £350k in next few days with the intention of forcing McLean into putting in a transfer request. I'm already resigned to the fact we are going to lose him shortly I just don't want it to be to those sevconian cunts. Hopefully a Championship club like Leeds or Villa pony up a decent offer (800k or so) that we can accept and use to find a decent replacement. Worst case scenario is that he stays to see out his contract and does a Jack...

Fyvie joining the caravan dwellers...
-
I saw the article. He was referring to playing there for Celtic not us. Its Linfield ( Norn Irn oldco tribute act) who have har the 'mare

I'd have been happy with Halliday before he joined sevco decent left peg playing advanced midfield role but useless as a holding midfielder and now tainted forever with the mark of der Hun O'Halloran is just a taller version of Mackie. Plenty pace but virtually zero end product. Id far rather these nomarks sit tight and bleed the zombies dry until their overpriced contracts run out rather than end up on loan somewhere and saving sevco a couple of grand a week. Throw in Dodoo, Kiernan and Forrester that must be around 25k-30k per week getting flushed down the Mordor toilet. Long may it continue....

Fantastic news
-
He had surgery a couple of weeks back for what is his second cruciate injury aged only 23. Out for the foreseeable future and would be totally pointless signing him at the minute. We need a right sided central defender in asap. I suspect unfortunately that it will be Josh Meekings....tbh I'd prefer Taylor back ( has he found a club yet??). I know Chelsea sent Hector to Germany last season, he will never ever make the grade at Stamford Bridge......Cormack get yer hand in yer hipper and get him up here on loan again.

Looks quite similar to thr oldco strip of the early 90s when Archbishop Johnston had been defrocked and gained a flute. for this reason I will not be investing
-
Lindsay confirmed at Barnsley. I have a horrible suspicion we are going to see Meekings unveiled as our Taylor replacement

Top earners (Jack McGinn Lewis and Hayes) were on between 4-5k per week. Taylor McLean Shay Consi Shinnie Reynolds all around the 3k per week mark. The average wage bill is brought down by the young eens earning £300-£500 a week. All are on significant win bonuses as was always the case in the Fergie years. We are far and away the third biggest average payers in Scotland. Hibs and Hearts (and Ross County too apparently ) will pay roughly equivalent to our top level for the odd player or two if they think it necessary but their run of the mill players earn much less. So whilst we cannot expect to attract every single target we want, so far as Scotland goes we are as attractive as we can be.....it has to be recognised some guys just won't fancy living in a far flung outpost of the UK and Edinburgh/Glasgow may be a more attractive overall lifestyle choice. Our problem is guys can easily find clubs in English League 1 who will pay more than us....in certain instances more than double.

Footballers Required! Red Stars Needs You!
Ten Caat replied to BobbyBiscuit's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
Seem to remember Johnstone leaving oldco under a huge cloud when he signed for (chelsea was it?). As a pundit I agree hes a pain in the arse and one of only 2 i can think of who predicted sevco would win last seasons league  Id go for Gough though as the hunnest player. Id see him on telly every f@ckin week and hope someone would smash their head right into his smug South African puss be he seemed extraordinarily good at avoiding injuries....bastard -
Just found out Lindsay is a left sided centre back. With Reynolds and Consi there already its really not what we require at all unless there were plans to punt one of them. I'm gonna stick my neck out and say he won't be joining us...
-
I'd definitely prioritise Lindsay and Walker over May but id expect Preston would want every penny of May's wages covered which was supposed to be 6k per week. Works out at 300k for a year. Thats a hefty sum for someone who ultimately wouldnt be our plaar. Only benefit I can see doing it that way is if he breaks down with injury problems and we could punt him back.
-
Fyvie supposed to be training with der Hun as a favour to Jason Holt from newco. (training facilities only not a trial) He got lambasted for leaving us for Wigan but he got 3 years there on decent wages and left with an FA Cup winners medal in his hipper so he was proved right in doing so I wouldn't see him improving us now but on a cheap contract (1500pw or so) he would be a reasonable squad player. I suspect he will end up at Killie or Murderwell though.
-
May never struck me as being similar to Rooney in any way at all. He's smaller, more mobile (at least prior to his injury anyway) and can run with the ball at feet whilst keeping close control so can play a wide role as well as being used centrally. The big question is can he still do it after an horrific injury? At £250k he is probably worth a punt but I wouldnt like to be spunking any more than that to get him onboard. His wages will also be top end of our pay scale so I'd guess we need to punt Storey to make the budget work unless Cormack has persuaded Wiggy to increase the overall playing budget quite significantly.

It may well stink DD but other than for a very short period in the early to late 80s it was ever the case the Old Firm would between them buy up any young promising Scottish talent from their rivals. At that time this was viewed as a positive thing, the fees received being passed on by the likes of ourselves to lower league clubs buy buying in their promising talent in turn as replacements. Those at the Old Firm doing well would be signed in turn by your Manchester Uniteds, Liverpools, Leeds etc. These guys were, although famous, really not earning a lot more than your average working man. The difference in pay levels in those bygone days was relatively small. going to the Old Firm you might, if you were lucky, double your pay at your present club. Going to England from the cheeks might have done the same for you if you went to one of the bigger clubs. Now the difference in pay levels that we can offer compared to Sevco is still around that "double your money" level. That's bad enough but Celtic, with their Champions League cash, can offer money to young loons that will, over the course of a 3 or 4 year contract, set them up for life no matter how their future career pans out. So no one can blame these guys for choosing the option to sign. Some will be a success ( Armstrong, Lego muncher) others will never make the grade there ( GMS and in all likelihood Christie). So whereas historically we would pay cash for a player surplus to requirements from the Old Firm ( Willoughby or even Joe Miller) nowadays its a sad fact we cannot pay wages even close to making us attractive to signing a player from them unless he is released at the end of his contract (and has no more lucrative offers lined up) or he gets a pay off from them covering the shortfall. In the end we all realise that sadly second place is all we are playing for. Christie may not be good enough for Celtic. He is good enough for us. I dont want to finish below sevco. So we need players of Christie's quality to achieve this. Season long loan not ideal but its better than nothing. Welcome back loon...
