Dirthy Filthy Hun Scumbag Vermin (deceased) and Poundland tribute act
Ten Caat replied to mizer's topic in Football Chat
Der Hun make the group stages of the Europa League again, simultaneously copping a second 3k ground section closure for their first home tie. (they've drawn Porto, Young Boys and Feyenoord). With a third sanction still to come. Nevertheless the scummy gits will earn the thick end of £10million by doing so. You'd have to expect they won't progress from that section but it secures their safety from going down the financial gurgler probably for another 2 seasons anyway. Might also mean they risk shelling out £7million or so on Kent before the transfer window closes.....if they do he might just be the difference between second place and pipping the Dhims to the League. I fucking hate those bastards -
That was Forrester without a shadow of a doubt. At least every time May took the field he tried his guts out. And despite his personal lack of goals, I still contend that his partnership with Cosgrove worked well. We haven't seen enough of Main to write him off completely as yet but from what we have seen so far, I'd rather we hadn't signed him and persevered with using May when required.

Id've fancied us to qualify given the draws that Dudelange and Linfield had. There were a few brutal draws that they somehow avoided and ended up pairing Eintracht Frankfurt v Strasbourg, Wolves v Torino, AZ Alkmaar v Royal Antwerp and Trabzonspor v AEK Athens...……...every one of which would have beaten those sides by a 5 goal aggregate margin minimum. But totally agree that McInnes is utterly clueless in Europe
-
Don't think we could complain about the draw we got. Was eminently winnable and even with McInnes' ultra cautious shitty tactics, we were doing just fine in Croatia until Logan had his (becoming ever frequent) brainfart. Celtic and sevco would have seen off Rijeka comfortably and I'm sure at least one, possibly both, would have beaten Gent too.
-
And we could also see if Saga Holidays would be willing to be our new shirt sponsor?
-
Don't think we have seen the last of Davidson. I suspect she will give up her seat at the next Scottish elections and spend a few years raising her son. She's still very young politics wise and I think she will reappear in 6 or 7 years parachuted into a safe Tory seat in southern England and may very well end up leader of the Tories in 10/12 years. For now, I fully expect Boris to call an election for November as a way of breaking the impasse over Brexit. He'll lose a handful of seats up here (between 3 and 5 I suspect) but more than make up for it down south as disaffected Leave voters with incumbent Labour MP's but in constituencies that voted Leave take their revenge. In the interim, we will leave without a deal as the Norn Irn backstop issue just doesn't have a satisfactory short term resolution right now. May well lead to a return of a hard border for a time and expect a concomitant return of terrorist action. Longer term, a plebiscite will be held and the 2 Irelands will reunite (which I suspect is Boris' ideal outcome anyway).
-
And also on nearly treble what we were paying him before he left. Not good value for money unless Celtic were heavily subsidising the deal. I hope we steer clear.

Supposedly Taylor has declared himself fit so be interesting to see if Vyner keeps his place of if big Gash strolls straight back in. Interesting to see if Ayrshire_don's team starts. Or will the ref suss the cunning use of 12 players?? Actually suspect that Bryson will start in midfield alongside Ojo and Ferguson. Needs another try although I have my doubts that as a trio they will prove to be an effective unit. Also expect Hedges to come back in at the expense of McLennan (though I'd rather it was Gallagher that got dropped. Beginning to wonder what the deal is that Cormack has arranged with Atlanta because despite being shite for every game except the home RoPS tie, he seems absolutely bulletproof) 2-0 ( Hedges, Ferguson)
-
I hope you aren't suggesting that we sign him if they do...…
-
Yep have to agree, far better off getting game time at a decent Championship club than the odd 10 minutes or so if he stays with us. He's too good for reserve fitba' now but just not quite ready to play first team football yet. Dundee might be interested given that Wright did well for them last season but if not then going back to Dunfermline wouldn't be the worst place to head. Get him out for the full season and hopefully next summer we get a palyer back ready to push for a first team spot (conversely if he does badly then we know he probably isn't cut out to play at the top level)
-
Can't see anything official from the club but the Times are going with a torn hamstring being the reason McKenna had to come off against Killie. Explains the omission from the Scotland squad, tbh a few weeks out to sort his head out after the transfer request debacle is no bad thing.
-
Don't think anyone is happy with the results and our eye-bleedingly awful style of play. Plenty jumping on the "McInnes out" bus. Pretty pointless as with a 3 year contract and the ink not yet dry on it, he'd cost a fortune to dunt just by himself...…...never mind dunting his backroom staff on top. If the crowds dwindled to 6 or 7k on the back of our poor form continuing the board might just be forced to act but that is a long way off yet. Can't see any English clubs coming calling any time soon (at least of a level that he would be interested in/could afford him). So our only hope is that he walks. If the fans turned against him vocally and consitantly over a period of time he might just consider his position (and accept a pay off that we could just about afford). But again that is a good bit off yet and if our form improves just won't be happening.

I've no idea why I feel this way but I hope Bury survive and Bolton go down the gurgler. Not convinced the megabucks that are on offer for clubs in the top leagues around Europe is sustainable. With any luck, when a recession does happen we see a few big names go to the wall down south.

Absolutely brutal watch. Anyone who paid to watch that has been robbed. In the end lucky to get away with a 0-0......they should certainly have scored about 15 minutes from the end when Burke rounded Joe but could only stick the shot into the side netting. Not sure why McKenna was subbed off, didn't look injured but guess he was telling DM that he was. Vyner replaced him and looked far better at CH than he did at RB. Gallagher remains rapid but his ball control is akin to that of a diesel locomotive. No idea how he stayed on the full 90 minutes. Game was crying out for Hedges yet he gets left stewing on the bench. Ferguson looked lucky to get away with a yellow, looked like he elbowed their player. Only bright spot was finding out St J had equalised against Hivs in the 95th minute. All early season optimism has been drained. I dread us facing the arse cheeks
-
£500k and I'll chauffeur him personally. Can only imagine they're going on his Dundee form last season. His form with us generally is one good game, four shite games and 5 totally anonymous games for every 10 he plays.

Word is its the section that houses the Union Bears that's getting shut Just a pity the SFA don't have the cojones to do the same, considering it happens at every sevco match. Really hope it happens again against Legia and the fuckers get booted outta Europe. Fuck sevco and all who sail in her bigoted ship -
But after going 2-0 down and looking total gowder for 70 minutes turned it round with 3 quickfire goals to win 3-2. Rodgers did ok btw.....steady enough. Still fully expect him to get dunted at the end of his contract.

Cannot agree with the "not more important than anyone else" comment. The team of the early to mid 80s were part of something that will never ever be repeated in our club's history. Indeed under the present conditions...…...I doubt we will ever see a Dons side win the League again never mind a European trophy. As such, they deserve special treatment. As should every side that wins us as trophy. With the ever increasing financial advantage the arse cheeks hold over every other club in Scotland, provincial clubs winning trophies will be as rare as hen's teeth. I agree Consi deserves some sort of recognition for his long service, but that can wait until he has retired. It's doubtful we will ever see "one club men" at the top level of football ever again.

Luck in the draws mainly

I went Shewan, Harper, Jarvie, Simpson, Jess and Teddy Scott. Deliberately left out Miller as I'd like to think when the new stadium is up and running he will get a stand named after him (alongside Fergie, Dick Donald and the Gothenburg Greats). Swithered about Jarvie.....was going to go Buchan but felt that Jarvie's longer service as well as his coaching career desrved it more. Also went for Simmie rather than Cooper on the same grounds (Hopefully they'll find something to commemorate Tattie with...indeed probably will get a pitch in this vote anyway). Others are pretty self explanatory.
-
The fear has to be that Wiggy gets his moniker into the new ground. "The Stewart Milne Stadium" has a sort of inevitability about it
-
And I don't think the retard are basing that on any concrete evidence in Gleeson's case other than he has been missing due to his injury. If Ojo keeps up his general shiteness over the next few weeks I think Gleeson might well be viewed as a valid alternative.
-
Scott Gemmill is it nae? Only link to Ayr that I can think of is that he maybe once read Tam O' Shanter at school (but even that unlikely as he was schooled down south)
-
Shinnie absolutely was one of the most effective midfielders in the SPL. I hesitate to say one of the best because he had very obvious limitations to his game....his right foot was for standing on only and it wasn't even too good at that at times......but whatever he lacked in technique he made up for in energy/work rate and leadership. I do fear that a Dutch coach won't appreciate his qualities however and that his career at Derby might be over before it ever got off the ground. Can't see him going on loan to another Championship side.....absolutely convinced he will be back north of the border in January. Only sevco up here would be able to pay him his Derby wages if he were to come back up on a transfer and so they would likely be Derby's preferred option. He was an oldco fan as a young loon but even when they were rumoured to be interested in the past January/Feb, I never thought he would go there directly out of respect to Aberdeen. He might well be interested now though. Although they've got so many midfielders as it is....they may have lost any previous interest. Only a fortnight ago I felt that we wouldn't consider him if he were made available for loan....just couldn't see where he would get a game after the highs of Chikhura and Hearts. If he were coming up on loan I thought Hibs would be the obvious fit. However Ojo has been piss poor in his past 3 games and we just lack the drive that he provided so if a loan were an option then I now think we really must attempt to get him back. But unless Derby have a horror 2 or 3 months that results in Cocu getting bulleted...I fear his career there is over
-
Think he started out as an attacking midfielder. Likely doing as a lot of midfielders do and dropping further back as age starts to affect his stamina. Foreby that...with Ferguson out the only other option would have been Campbell. As it turns out Campbell was the better option...……………………...
