Boy on the Hat saw Gleeson out last Friday night with a few other players and overheard him saying he's out injured for 6 weeks. Loads of our supporters have been demanding he gets punted but in order to do that there has to be a team willing to take him on. With a nearly a year left on his contract, likely to be one of our bigger earners given he joined from Ipswich......and considering his lack of game time last year and is injured now anyway......I think it's very unlikely he will be leaving as nobody will want him. Maybe a club in the Irish League would take him on but with us covering at least 75% of his wages...…….but I'd think DM would rather just keep him for the time remaining and use him in the event we have an injury crisis. When he did play last season he really wasn't that bad....slow certainly, but had a good football brain and could pick a pass. Just it seemed he couldn't do much more than 70-75 minutes and then he was spent.

Don't be confusing Gent with Genk (Genk were formed by the amalgamation of one of our old Euro adversaries Waterschei with Winterslag around 30 years ago)..................Gent are nowhere near the level of Genk and although I agree that our chances of progression are unlikely, should we manage to pull it off then it's an eminently winnable tie. Although another performance like Sunday's would result in a horsing

I actually think we should treat is as just needing a 2-0 victory which doesn't seem nearly as daunting a prospect. If we get 2 up, by all means try for a 3rd but at all costs do not lose an away goal. If we can get them to extra time then I think that's a decent result and we can then go for the win. Apparently Rijeka suffered a 2-0 defeat on Sunday, but on top of the defeat they've lost 2 players to injury.....one of which was a dislocated shoulder so he's definitely out and the other supposedly very doubtful. What we cannot afford is another dreary negative shitfest that we have witnessed in the past 2 games. We have to get the crowd really up for it so the first 15 minutes absolutely pile into them. They really aren't that good.....

I'm giving Main a bit of a free pass today as he got absolutely fuck all service. Cosgrove would have fared no better. No today's wrath is aimed firmly at the management. Surely to fuck now Wright will be binned forever.....best part of 2 years left on his contract but should be told that he will never figure again for us even as a sub. So find himself a new club...on loan if necessary..... or spend 2 years training with the kids. McLennan.....out for a month injured, straight back into the starting line up. Was blowing out his arse by half time (anyone else think he looks fat??) but still got another 15 minutes to provide us with sweet FA. I advocated Vyner for Logan as the defeat in Rijeka was purely down to his brainfart, however wasn't overly impressed with Vyner's debut......at times seemed to lack enthusiasm. Leigh looked great against Hearts but clumsy at best today and posted missing at their goal, indeed posted missing again late on when the St Mirren boy (Andreu?) put his header wide from 3 yards range. Obviously conditions were less than perfect and the ball started sticking 2nd half meaning passes had to be struck firmly and doubtless didn't help. But the team we faced today I think are favourites for the drop. We should be swatting them aside comfortably. On to Thursday night's salvage job. Play like we did today and they'll put 3 past us as they won't miss chances like St Mirren did after breaking up the park swiftly. McInnes get your fucking finger out
-
Had enough of that. Handball was a definite penalty but we should still be behind no idea how the St Mirren striker missed the header from 3 yards out. Away to watch the athletics
-
No fucking changes at HT
-
Could easily be 3 down here. He better make changes at half time
-
Fucking dreadful viewing. Midfield are being totally outplayed, McLennan and Wright (again ffs) totally anonymous and Vyner looks like he's already regretting coming here. Ferguson just doesn't look the same player when he lies deep. Get it sorted McInnes

I really don't mind Hamilton, they are what they are, getting a tiny support pretty much in the back yard of the arse cheeks...….so well done to the few hundred who turn out week in week out supporting their local side instead of taking the "easy option" of following sevco or septic. Despite that.....they have a youth policy that appears to work well and manage to sell someone pretty much every second season for decent money which no doubt keeps them in business. I agree with Tom......I hope Killie fall through the trapdoor (obviously I'd prefer sevco above all to do so but I'm a realist)
-
Bizarre that McLennan comes straight in ahead of Wilson. Have to assume he's just not performing in training. Wright getting another start ana…..surely must be last chance saloon for him having flattered to deceive for years. I hope he gets a hat trick but even if he does I still won't be convinced he's of the desired ability......he needs to do against the top clubs consistently. Looking forward to seeing what Vyner brings to the table. At very least should serve as a kick up the arse to Logan. 1-3 (Hedges, Main, Gallagher)
-
No idea of the source but others are saying Bryson is out for the next 3 games at least. Concerning to say the least. Hoping Wilson gets a start alongside Cosgrove.

Shamelessly stolen from Jambo's Kickback. Sevco take a pre-match stroll prior to the away leg of one of their Europa Cup ties. The Hummel deal gone bad has certainly hit home hard Or as one Fartz wag suggested......it's the commemorative strip with all the names of the fans who helped save oldco Minky bastards..... -
He'll train tomorrow. Logan's fuck up was unforgiveable and cannot be allowed to pass without consequences. So Viner to start. If Devlin is fit then McKenna to drop out as well.....doesn't deserve a win bonus after his actions.
-
Wright did ok at Dundee in his loan there. That's his level. Too many of our support view him through rose tinted specs as he's a local loon and they want him to do well. But he just hasn't got the attributes to be effective at the very top level in Scotland. He should be allowed to go for free right now if he can fix himself up elsewhere. McGinn I don't think should have started tonight. Not in that heat at his age. He's getting more game time than expected, probably partially to do with the lack of availability of Bryson. Will be interesting to see if Vyner gets a crack on Sunday or stays on the bench (and if he does get started....will it be at right back or right central defence)
-
Totally flat performance from us tonight but we were comfortable nevertheless until Logan had yet another of his utter brainfarts. It's clear the boy loves playing for us but passion isn't enough. Intelligence is required at times and sadly Logan belongs in the remedial class when it comes to that. Still if we had kept it to 1-0 we would have had a more than decent chance at home. Really hoping the new loon is indeed Logan's long term replacement. As has been said.....cannot see us not conceding in the home leg. Absolutely can envisage a heroic but ultimately fruitless 3-1 win. These Croats are no world beaters but they are a bit more streetwise than we are.

I do. He's a Celtic fan. And it's no less ambitious than joining your QPR's or Notts Forest's of the world. He would still be putting himself in the shop window for EPL clubs and might win a trophy or 6 if he went there for a couple of years. That said...……..I hope our board have the cojones to resist any offer that comes our way from Glasgow in the next couple of weeks. It's high time we stopped being their bitches
-
No Next question?
-
I'm not convinced he's actually in Croatia. What I think has happened is that he's had the registration rushed through last night.....technically makes him available for tonight but in reality was done so to ensure he's available for the return leg next week. I really doubt we would have charted him a private jet and whilst I think getting him there scheduled might just be possible (albeit likely with a bit of a car journey at the other end....maybe from Split, Zagreb, Ljubljana or Trieste)...he'd be of no real use to us (wouldn't even know his team-mates names) nor have trained with us to have even a semblance of what tactics we are employing. Squad number 33 btw EDIT......Evening Express saying he's still in Bristol

Stevie May .......... Derek ...... over to you

He won't leave to end up on less cash than he's getting now with us. Why would he? It's not as if he will ever make multi-millions out the game.....sure he makes a comfortable living right now...….but with the state of his knee it's doubtful he will have a career till he's 36/37 either. The word was we were happy to give him 3 months wages as a pay off. Supposedly on £4k/week...……..x13 =£52k. Along with a signing on fee from St Johnstone that perhaps matched that figure and them stretching themselves to £3k/week (probably making him their highest paid player) he wouldn't have lost out. It sounds like his (now-ex) agent then tried to get an even bigger signing on fee from St J and so St J pulled the plug. When May's new representatives went back trying to resurrect the deal, for whatever reason St J have allegedly withdrawn the signing on fee and lowered the deal overall. As I say.....its doubtful may's career will be particularly long so no wonder he's sitting tight. The question is.....will any other club come in now? It's hard to imagine that anyone other than the 2 Dundee clubs couls afford a package that would be acceptable to him....and they both seem to have moved on from any interest a while back. So.......I think we are stuck with him. -
Yeah supposedly Bryson was left at home. Becoming a bit concerning tbh. Still think there will be developments today regarding McKenna and I don't think it's a given he will play. Rijeka are a big step up in class from what we have faced so far and right now I'd bite your hand off for a score draw but a one goal defeat, preferably 2-1 or even better 3-2 would be a good result to bring back.

He's a right back

Strange Sky have ditched the banner about the alleged Forest bid. Have they fucked up?
-
Sky Sports saying that Forest have bid £7million Isn't there something about transfer windows where if terms have been agreed for a transfer but paperwork hasn't quite been concluded that so long as the relevant FA's have been notified that the transfer is going through you can continue the process for a short time (hours not days) beyond the time that the window has closed?
-
The boy on the hat who has heard is the same one that broke the transfer request story.

He's just been pictured getting off the bus at the airport Doesn't look happy
