  1. Not a fan of the adidas stripes down the sides. They should always be on the arms, nowhere else
  2. The elephant in the room is having to face Hivs at Easter Road for a third time in the league. This is the inherent flaw in the league splitting for the final 6 games and happens relatively frequently. But better than having an 18/20 home/away ratio which can happen (and does now and again). Having said that....I'm far happier to go to Easter Road a third time than Tynecastle. First time we have faced their new boss.....seems to have galvanised them. Can't say I'm overly optimistic about getting 3 points which I suspect we will need to get 3rd. Sevco I'm sure will allow some of their senior players to get an extra week's holiday and give a start to a few of their squad players, maybe even a youngster getting a debut too. In for this one............1-1 (Considine)
  3. He was unlucky to have been punted at Ross Co. So probably deserved his chance at a (slightly) bigger club. But Dundee can congratulate themselves on effectively ending the managerial careers (at a decent level) of 2 guys in 8 months
  4. Brighton should be on their knees thanking Hughton for keeping them in the EPL. I'm not sure what exactly they expect of him but any manager doing as he has done deserves another season. Even spending £70 million (and putting it into perspective, clubs in the top 6 will spend that on a single player)……..Norwich and Sheffield United will spend at least that much this summer and if they finish 17th next season will consider every penny of it well spent.
  5. It may have worked for this game but apparently Lewis is hobbling around town in a knee brace. So may end up missing 90 minutes on Sunday whereas if he had came off at half time may only have missed 45 minutes (obviously this is just pure conjecture atm) Either way....Cerny is a solid back up option, would have no worries if he had to play against Hivs whatsoever.
  6. Nicholson was the winger I heard. But I won't go all in with that one just yet till I hear it from a far more reliable source. Centre half I have no info on. Could it possibly be they intend showing off the new signings wearing next season's strip as a launch? By the same token, why the hell haven't sevco announced Stewart on this pre-contract that the west coast meedja assured us was happening? oh hang on, maybe they thought if they did so we would automatically stop selecting him till he left? And improved our performances/results by doing so......
  7. Killie held on. Now need sevco to do us a favour next week and get a result ourselves at Easter Road
  8. Pundits saying the penalty that Killie scored from was definitely not a penalty and had we had VAR the decision would have been reversed. Of course they noted that we are the big losers because of this apparently dreadful decision
  9. Killie go 1 up against Hibs. Bastards...
  10. It really wouldn't have been. We were indubitably the far better side but made things difficult with some horrendous final balls when in great positions. Michael Stewart lambasting Hearts for their style of play and approach to the game in general
  11. Well it's 3 points which is what we required. Disappointing lack of urgency in the first quarter, plenty possession and much improved in second half though made things difficult by losing a terrible goal to a Hearts team that wouldn't have looked out of place in the East of Scotland juniors. Lowe and Shinnie very good.....glad the captain signed off with a victory and got the ovationat the end he deserved for his service ( I think he will be back at some point...possibly not even that far down the line) but my M.O.M was Ball who, despite his many detractors (guys who couldn't tell a footballer from a ballet dancer) kept things simple, broke up most of Hearts attacks and used the ball simply but effectively. Joe a very lucky boy not to see red in the dying stages. Should have been subbed off anyway at half time was clearly struggling with the injury. On to Easter Road for the final match of the season. I've said all along I expect us to need a point minimum there to secure 3rd. Hopefully Hivs do us a turn at Killie tomorrow but I'm not counting on it. As I write....Stewart interviewed post-match, got asked about his future. Denied having anything set up anywhere as yet for next season. Hmmmmmmmmm
  12. Worst Hearts team I've seen since the very early 80s....and I include the one that got them relegated a few seasons back....and we are struggling to beat this pile of poop.
  13. Dear oh fucking dear
  14. Yaaaaaaaaas Ferguson. Had been coming
  15. Shinnie and Lowe had a few chances each to put in decent crosses from good positions and have both succeeded in fucking them up royally. That said...also been our best 2 players in the first half hour. No prizes for guessing which 2 have been the worst.....
  16. Turgid opening. Have had plenty possession but have made a grand total of zero chances so far. Hearts just happy to play hoofball.
  17. Stewart on the wing is a horrendous thought. If we must play him then at least stick him where he has been of some use to other teams in the past....up top. Considine back in for Devlin......it's becoming really concerning now Had a feeling Shinnie would do all he could in order to take a final bow at Pittodrie. Let's make it memorable for him COYR!
  18. You'd think that if we were cashing in on McKenna in the summer (before his price drops any lower) then McInnes would be targeting a left sided central defender (surely to God he isn't intending making Consi his first choice???) Yet so far we are linked with Shaughnessy/Ryan Edwards/Big Gash.....all right sided ones. Now I do realise our greatest ever team featured two "righties" in the heart of it's defence, however times have moved on and most teams go for a right footer/left footer combination whenever possible. I keep coming back to this point....Devlin? Is he goosed?
  19. And how much of last season did Devlin miss through injury? Then ended up being unable to displace Considine as first pick for the final 3 months of the season ( and when he did get a start, usually needed replacing after 60-70 minutes??). I don't think it is any coincidence we are now trying to get another right sided centre back on board.....be it Shaughnessy or as todays rumour has it......resigning Big Gash We got Devlin in early so we could oversee his rehab for a very small fee (£25k). As I keep saying....Hoban has done BOTH cruciates in now. And at the very earliest (and it's being optimistic) MIGHT be ready to turn out in a few reserve games as a trialist come late January. But there is absolutely no evidence at the minute he will ever be able to play again at any level, far less professionally. Our budget is tight as it is. We cannot be awarding guys who we know are injury prone ( check out EXACTLY how many games he has played since turning professional) and who won't be able to play at all for the first half of the season.
  20. And thirded. One half decent game against us does not a potential signing make.
  21. Pedant alert.....you have spelt yer username wrong It's Tsvetanov not Tsetanov
  22. Rumours gathering strength that Celtic are about to release him. 2 years left on his contract.....seems unlikely as doing that would involve a whacking great payoff. On the other hand, his life does seem to be a total car crash.....was talk a few months back he had to be rescued by a neighbour whilst attempting suicide inhaling exhaust fumes in his car.
  23. I pointed out Ball before Rico....pay attention
