  1. Would you have made Simmy ineligible for the caps he got then? Cos Simmy was born in London....
  2. Dropping like flies now. That's Stevie Chalmers away. Same as McNeill.....dementia. Terrible disease......RIP loon
  3. I think our very public (yet unsuccessful at least of yet) courting of Shaughnessy speaks volumes about Devlin. I really hope I'm wrong but I think he's fucked and he knows it. He's become the defence's version of Gleeson.....unable to complete a full 90 minutes.
  4. Consi was ok. Beaten by a ref determined to give sevco their first pen when there was nothing in it. Playing catch up with our decimated squad......and its now even thinner for Celtic and the rest of the season...…..was never going to be realistic. Tbh we should have been 2 down at half time but for Joe keeping us in it
  5. And theres the red card I predicted
  6. Bastards
  7. That's another 2 injured. If it is McLennan's hammy right enough then that'll be him for the season. Lewis keeping us in this
  8. 1-1...…. 6 minutes to go to say that this would be daylight robbery would be the understatement of the year but who cares? Go get a winner Hearts....
  9. Fuck.... Stunning finish by Berra though
  10. Hivs miss a penalty. Jambo's clinging on for dear life....should be at least 4 down by now
  11. 0-0 in Edinburgh derby at HT. Hivs been the better side and could, probably should be a couple of goals to the good. Ideally Hearts will get a winner but a draw wouldn't be a bad outcome. Just don't let the spoonburners win....would give them a bit of momentum with us facing sevco later with a severely depleted squad.
  12. Shaughnessy I don't think is happening....reckons he can get better money down south. Probably correct notwithstanding that it will be at an EFL1 club at best. Delighted that Stewart is joining sevco, for 10k/week if reports are true. They'll find out just how shite he is fairly sharpish and I'll predict that he will hardly ever get selected after his first 6 months there. Eventually sevco will punt him on loan (probably to Killie, sevco covering around 80% of his wages) as, just like his time with Birmingham, they won't be able to give him away on a free transfer as he will be on such a ridiculously high wage for a an utter dud. Djoum…..yeah Jambo's seem certain he's on his way here. Guessing he's the Shinnie replacement. Decent enough player but assuming Ball also signs on that's going to leave us with 4 defensive midfielders ( Campbell and Gleeson being the other 2) vying for 2 starting places at best. Don't want to see Campbell's game time severely restricted.....I don't think he's quite ready to be a first choice for at least the first half of next season but absolutely should be by next summer and possibly a wee bit earlier.
  13. Europe is absolutely vital. We won't get a draw like Burnley again and if we can play even 3 rounds with Pittodrie crowds of 15k we make over a million profit on the crowds alone. I'd obviously prefer us to so it finishing third (if nothing else gets us more prize money) but 4th should be fine......looking for either a Hearts win today or a draw. We got unlucky in the Scottish Cup by ending up in the half of the draw with Celtic sevco ourselves Killie etc whilst Hearts ended up in the half with Auchenshoogle Rovers, Buckie Thistle (u14s), and Hibs Ladies. But again the 2 games gainst sevco plus the semi at Hampden at least means we should have made a few quid out of it despite the disappointment.
  14. Yet he's keeping Devlin out the side right now (on merit) and as we all know Devlin got a Scotland call up earlier in the season. 2 years is fine. Next season he will revert to being a squad player....he won't play left back again unless in dire emergency. He was never quick anyway but his experience means he can read situations and will be absolutely solid enough when required against your St Johnstone's etc.

Nah he's Fulham bound. Has stated quite categorically that he wants to return down south beside his family
  16. I presume you will be ruling out Scott Gemmill on the same grounds then?
  17. Yep Ferguson only got 1 league match and will serve the further game in next season's Scottish Cup. Sadly concur with Jute, can't see us getting anything from this one. Kent will tear Ball a new one and Gleeson's lack of mobility will be exploited at every opportunity. We operate with a squad that is fairly thin at the best of times. Having no Shinnie, Logan, McGinn and GMS available is just too much to expect anything other than a defeat. I suspect a grim defensive rearguard action with the hope of shitfesting a 0-0 draw will be the order of the day. But I also expect at least one red card for us...…….for that reason alone I'd be leaving Cosgrove on the bench until fairly late on in the game.
  18. It absolutely is the only reason. My younger brother has been a City fan for around 45 years since he was a very young kid. In fact I think it was maybe their League Cup win that made him support them (76??). They were utterly awful from the mid eighties onwards, sometimes comedically so. The Fergie success was built around signing a core of young local(ish) lads and spending prudently on more established stars (£1.2million for Cantona IIRC....absolute pennies nowadays but even then still very cheap). English football has since went mental with the Sky/BT/other Tv companies cash, plus rich sponsors plus megalomaniac owners investing crazy cash into clubs. I look forward to a global recession occurring and the whole house of cards crashing spectacularly down.
  19. I could swear that Ball elbowed him first then went down and headbutted him on the legs Couldn't see his reaction at the time but when I watched highlights McKenzie definitely has a fly kick at Ball though as Rico says....it was even less of a violent act than the Morelos one that got rescinded. Have seen others suggest that there may have been more going on after the camera pans away. My initial thought at the game was a yellow for both involved, have no idea how Ball escaped punishment (as yet)
  20. Was the man I wanted to take over from Porterfield when he left ( He had just taken over at Villa when Fergie headed south and much as I would have liked us to break the bank to get him just wasn't going to happen at that point). Spoke to him on a couple of occasions and always kept his affection for Aberdeen despite only being manager for a year. An absolute gentleman and will be sadly missed by all true football supporters of whatever allegiance. RIP
  21. That's a heart attack in waiting I suppose fair play to him at least he hasn't taken the easy choice that the majority of West Coasters have done by supporting one of the arse cheeks
  22. Stewart supposedly has a hip injury but if this is a cover story and the real reason is that he's been in negotiations with sevco then it's poor management. If he's talking to the orcs then McInnes should come clean and state that he won't be selected for any of the remaining games.
  23. Never liked having a 'keeper as captain but I do hope he gets the money that was earmarked for Shinnie to get him to extend his contract. Captaincy should go to 1) McKenna if he says he will stay at least the full season or 2) Devlin if McKenna is offski/there really are no long term fitness doubts (hmmmmmm??) or 3) Logan as a default if options 1 and 2 are unviable for the reasons stated (and assuming we don't sign a Logan upgrade in the close season)
  24. They've nae Greg Stewart in their side to hinder them. Nor have they got a midfielder playing right back. And they don't continually lump long balls up to a giant-but-utterly-immobile centre forward.
  25. Home and sunburnt Massive 3 points, takes Hearts out of the equation for 3rd/4th and if Celtic can beat Hibs tomorrow it will almost (not quite but would require a freakish run of results from now on in) achieve the same. Eye bleeding to watch, Cosgrove really should have had a red before Clubfoot got his marching orders. Even down to 10 men they continued to cause us problems, Shinnie having one of his poorer games in midfield and again, absolutely incredible he didn't even get a yellow for all the fouls he committed. Gleeson did nothing spectacular but was a steadying influence. Devlin lucky to get away with a yellow for his foul on Brophy....uncannnily similar circumstances to the one at Pittodrie where he did cop a red....even the timing early on in the game. And his distribution is woeful. Again cannot complete a full 90 minutes...worrying. Ball I suspect will cop a citing and get a retrospective red for his part in the final Killie sending off in extra time. McLennan anonymous and achieved his now expected party piece by running the ball out of play once again. M.o.m. purely by eliminating the above leaves a choice of Lowe, Consi, May, McKenna or Joe. McKenna pinching it purely because he scored the winner. On to Ibrokes. Similar performance will see them absolutely horse us and we will probably receive a couple of red cards for our trouble. Might well find ourselves without Shinnie and Ball for this one, injury and Compliance Officer dependent.
