  1. A helluva lot more than the ABV of the refreshments that Rocket Scienceknob necks on a daily basis....
  2. I just don't get that moving to a new stadium 6 miles away will dilute any soul and tradition out the club. For true diehard fans, we could play on Sheddocksley number 2 and they'd still turn out rain hail or shine to follow the team. Those that choose not to go to the new stadium will be replaced eventually by young loons from the west of the city who were maybe too young to attend games at Pittodrie by themselves but who will have a new shiny stadium practically on their doorstep. The product though, is an altogether different matter. Times have certainly changed since our glory days. From days where we paid the highest wages in Scotland, paid our assistant manager more than the Man United manager and who once had a bid for Ziggy Boniek accepted ( but fell through when they suddenly reneged on the deal) by Juventus.....our highest paid players now earn in a week what the top stars in England, Spain and Italy earn in around 3 to 6 hours. Without a massive investment from a generous benefactor, we will never ever challenge even Celtic again (and sevco will struggle to do so also). Money has fucked football. It's a sad day when clubs like Chelsea are signing young loons aged 6 for whacking great lump sums en masse. Literally hundreds of loons on their books with the vast majority being released by age 16 judged to be not of the desired quality.
  3. I don't give a flying fuck what you want to hear. I think you are a knob....a not uncommon view held by the members here and of other groups you are currently banned from... But I absolutely acknowledge your right to spout pish that you and others who class themselves as " intellectuals" do every day. Only you and you ilk can possibly be right. The proles are only good for brewing/distilling the alcohol that flows in copious volumes down your oesophagus. But I do agree with you that McInnes should be replaced asap...
  4. Linked with signing him in summer from Livi. Rhecord reckon we tried to get him onboard in January, were quoted £175k so we backed off. Initial thoughts.....meh.
  5. It's spelt " xenophobic" not "zenophobic". Sorry but I just don't buy your pseudo intellectual shite Rico. Not for one minute. Yes perhaps Serbia was a bad example. But their next door neighbour Bosnia is a Muslim majority country. The migrants don't want to stop there either despite being culturally a helluva lot more similar than heading to countries further west. I make no apology for what I said. I'm most certainly not racist but I have a big problem with uncontrolled migration. The vast majority of those doing so are young single men of working age. Instead of heading thousands of miles westward why not stay and make their own countries better?
  6. No one has the guts to come out and say that violent extremism is nowadays pretty much 100% Islamist led ( with a tiny minority, but nevertheless deadly, as witnessed in NZ, anti Islamist reactionary grouping). Political correctness over the past 40 years has caused political leaders to pass laws which at best disincentivise people from stating this fact, far less try to act on it. At worst it actually criminalises them. There is and has been for the past half century at least, but probably longer, a striking exodus of Muslims from traditionally. Muslim states westward and northward from Asia and Africa into Europe. In particular western Europe. ( There is a similar but less pronounced migration from Eastern Asia towards Australia/NZ). They leave due to conflict in their own lands, but most are economic migrants looking for the off quoted "better life". Now I've never seen read the Quran and have no intention of doing so. But have heard others state that there are passages within that some radical Muslims interpret as encouraging Muslims to migrate worldwide with the intention of making Islam dominate the world eventually. They do seem on the surface anyway, to breed fairly prodigically compared to the rest of the world's population. And as their population grows in western countries, their voice, even among non-radicals, becomes ever more demanding. Inevitably during this migration, extremists have taken their chance to blend in with the masses and settle, lying low once in their country of choice and awaiting further orders or if " lone wolves" a perceived grievance that triggers their decision to carry out an atrocity. Europe, and Germany in particular has to take a huge amount of blame for the state of things nowliyqp Kk. We have encouraged this mass migration, initially by legal means but now completely illegal of migrants heading for the promised lands of the UK, Germany, France and Scandinavia. The vast majority of these migrants are never asked....far less told...to leave once they reach their country of choice. Those using the excuse of fleeing persecution have no interest in claiming asylum in countries like Serbia or Romania....safe havens far closer to the countries they have just left. Even Italy and Spain, ports of entry from those fleeing Africa hold little interest for these migrants despite being vastly more wealthy than the Eastern European countries those fleeing Asia first encounter. I hope I don't come across as racist in this synopsis. But sadly I fear it is already too late.
  7. Aye he's pretty much inserted a stick of dynamite up May's hoop and lit the fuse. Just wondering now if she will resign and let someone else have a go or else go rogue and they to force through a no deal just to get back at Bercow
  8. We seem to be getting one good game followed by one horseshit performance out of both McLennan and Shinnie at the moment. To be expected of McLennan considering his age and experience but from Shinnie it's just not good enough. We all know that when he is bad, he's honking but this recent frequency of honking games is a relatively new phenomenon, it used to be maybe 1 in 6 with other 5 all good. Obviously he has a lot on his mind just now. It's a shame he didn't pick up a knock as he is now off with Scotland where a wee break from football might have done him good. McKenna is getting the blame from me for their goal today. Seemed to have switched off momentarily, but overall the team were underwhelming as a whole. Maybe a reaction to the efforts from Tuesday but this horrendous home run of results has now become a monkey on their backs. I thought GMS only picked up bruising in the cup draw against sevco but it's taking a helluva long time to settle down. Indeed the Record were running with a story this morning that he's struggling to make the cup semi next month, though were totally short on details why. Thankfully our away form is as good as our home form is bad. Once again we are almost forced to win our next match to atone for our home failings. A point at Hearts would normally be seen as a good point but it has to be 3 now. Just hope McKenna, Shinnie and Ferguson return from the international break unscathed as that match will be a bruising encounter.
  9. I haven't watched it and don't think I ever will. You got by what folk are saying, it seems that he was indeed a serial paedophile. It was obvious to those of us who grew up in the same era that he did that was a weird fucker by the time he reached the age of 21 and just became an even more bizarre character as the years rolled on. However I do have a huge problem with all these paedophile stories emerging about him ( and others like Saville) only emerging after they've died. Yes the stories do seem to be credible but I'd far rather their accusers had come out with their stories when they were still alive so that the accusations could have been tried in a court of law. I'm fairly certain that amongst the genuine abuse survivors, there are probably a number of fake accusations by chancers looking for a wedge of compensation. You cannot libel the dead we are told so they've got nothing to lose in doing so and quite a lot to gain....nice wee newspaper serialisation of their story, possible payout from the accused's estate or statutory compo from the government etc. It seems as if more and more radio and TV stations are banning Jackson's music. I loved his "Off the Wall" and "Beat It" albums but hated everything from Bad onwards. ( I was very young when he was doing his Jackson 5 stuff, it's ok but wasn't into music much at that point because of being so young). Very sad if his musical legacy is wiped from the annals of history but seems like that is what is going to happen.
  10. Ideal game to give Ferguson a wee rest so leave Campbell in to gain further first team exposure...win/win situation. Cosgrove to join May up front. Undecided about the McKenna/Devlin situation. Purely on the performance on Tuesday night I'm saying leave Devlin on the bench and keep going with Consi for now (until he has a horrendous fuck up/ either him or McKenna cop a suspension)
  11. Threads on swallow swallow and sevco media seem to point to 49000 huns taking extreme offence at the Cheer up Stevie G song....in particular the line " sad orange bastard".... That every second post on those neanderthal message boards seems to refer to "taigs" or various other derogatory insults describing followers of the Roman Catholic faith is entirely lost on these mutants. I've no idea if the ref ( Clancy) belongs to this faith but he is particularly targeted. Bizarrely, Steven McLean whose brother actually played for the predecessor club, is also similarly tarred in other threads. Sevco....just fuck off and die.
  12. It was a black inflatable Mrs Morelos. There are pictures
  13. In Glasgow.... Beaten them 3 times in a season plenty in the Ferguson ers
  14. FFS now Consi booked. Is that 7 or 8 of us booked?
  15. Morelos dives yet a fucking gain
  16. Gleeson on for Campbell.
  17. Yaaàaaas McLennan!
  18. I'd only want Clarke or Jack Ross out of the current crop of Scottish born managers, both of whom for different reasons right now are unavailable and wouldn't consider it if they were ( both might review that position in future, Ross for sure will as he will get fired in around a year' s time when he finds that getting Sunderland promoted then stabilising them in the Championship is in no way good enough for a board who expect them at worst competing for a promotion play off spot). Lennon is a cunt of a man but has the necessary attitude against the arse cheeks we often lack but again is now unavailable. If DM were to leave in summer ( don't see it happening but don't see an extension happening either) then I'd be hoping for an up and coming young English manager as Hibs have done a la Heckingbottom. But watch my Ross prediction.....I think he will become available just at the time when it's announced that DM will be leaving us in summer 2020....
  19. No point comparing the relative merits of each as that was the era when East Germany ( and all Soviet satellite countries) were injecting any relatively talented sporting child from age around 6 upwards with various performance enhancing steroids/ hormones which encouraged rapid growth at puberty ( gymnastics was the exception where females had their puberties delayed). Typical East German teams consisted of 11 six foot plus athletes who could run all day long, were unbeatable in the air and could play to a strict system instilled by their coaches from an early age. Successful up to a point but eye bleedingly boring to watch. And as an aside....these athletes are all either dying off prematurely, or if they survive, suffer horrendous effects from the drugs that were injected with. Olga Korbut ( 1972 Olympic gymnastics champion) is only 63 but even aged 40 looked 20 years older than she actually was and now looks like a walking corpse. SAF had our side of 82/3/4 playing in a style where we were indistinguishable from the top West German sides. Still had a tall, athletic backbone but allowed flair players like Strachan and Weir ( himself relatively physical when required) to flourish alongside. Of the Eastern European countries only Czechoslovakia as it was really embraced this in the 70s and early 80s. Romania followed suit in the mid 80s when Hagi came through but only after the end of the Soviet bloc did these countries ditch their rigid coaching regimes and end the cheating
  20. Had it been at home I probably would have started Campbell. At their hovel my instincts say to leave him on the bench.....however it could be out of our hands if both McGinn and GMS are still unavailable. McLennan was rank rotten at the weekend and should be replaced by either one of the 2 previously mentioned. But if they ain't fit then yes I'd replace him with Campbell, pushing Ferguson further forward. Ball facing Kent still gives me the fear but I accept it is what it is....if he gets a roasting I won't be landing all the blame on him as he isn't a natural right back which we all know. Having said that, he's probably been our most consistent performer in the past 3 or 4 matches so hoping he keeps it up. Honestly think we had our chance at Pittodrie, sevco playing at home usually means they get a dodgy penalty or 4 given to them. If we are to win it, I have a feeling it will be in either extra time or penalties after a 0-0 draw.
  21. Both Considine and Ball were very unfairly tarred as everyone's whipping boys. When everyone is fit I agree they are squad players....but this season we have had a horrendous run of injuries/suspensions and so both have been used fairly extensively. And both have done just fine . Indeed I'd say Ball has been our best player over the past 3 or 4 matches. I hope both get rewarded with at least 2 year contracts in the summer
  22. Why would any Dons can call a sevconian "a bear"? Bad enough one of ours calling them "Rangers" but " bear" is even worse. Btw I agree about stripping the captaincy but not about dropping him. Our contract offer to him should have had a cut off point of 1st March so that if he came back to us saying he wants to stay ( unlikely I know) then we would be negotiating from a stronger starting point.
  23. He could always describe them as sevco and as a new club. The authorities would have apoplexy but if they dared try to sanction him then we go to the courts to let them sort it out. The truth would soon(ish) out...
  24. Nah Albiston was early eighties... Robertson was still at school when he was getting caps. Malpas superseded him in the mid eighties and would certainly have been the incumbent when Robertson was making a name with us and when he first joined sevco. I'm certain it was McKinlay who was the left back when Robertson threw his strop
  25. Second one was Ferguson's free kick which was in the first minute of injury time and indirectly led to the missed May header. Of which there now could be mitigating circumstances. I haven't seen a replay but there are others who are suggesting as he went to header he got a hefty dunt in the back. I'll reserve judgement till I see it again but at the time thought it was a dreadful effort
