  1. Tosh McKinlay?
  2. Jesus not sure how May didn't bury that header in injury time....having said that had we been offered a point prior to kick off we would have taken it all day long. First team this season to get anything from Parkhead. Defence were generally sound, Ball did get one roasting from the Celtic winger which thankfully came to nothing....otherwise he was very good. Ferguson better than of late and decent free kick near the end. Shinnie worked his socks off and Cosgrove despite not scoring was a handful for their central defence. Onwards to Tuesday. Similar performance and we have nothing at all to fear COYR
  3. No bad thing they're all doubtful. Of the 3 the one I hope makes it is McGinn. Treat this game as a free hit. We aren't expected to get anything so if we do it's a bonus. Set up as we did against sevco at Ibrokes back in December, try to nick an early goal then frustrate the hell out of them for the next hour by pressing fairly high up. Keep them at bay and they become desperate as the crowd demand they really open up....then we can hit them on the break and hopefully kill them off. But please please don't try the backs to the wall defending for 90 minutes. That just won't work.
  4. Your second point is true up to a point.....free golf and his face on some advertising shite ( may or may not be accompanied by a few dollars in his hipper) However your first point is absolute bullcrap. You got that from the Hat. When asked to supply a credible source of the info....the poster quoted that " he got it off an Aberdeen supporting friend in the Weeg". Who in turn got it off a couple of threads in those bastions of credible information....swallow swallow and sevco media. Absolute pantie wetting ensued by a fair number of our more snowflakey fans. As I pointed out.....had he signed a pre contract already with Der Hun the press would have been all over it. And faced with us in the cup, sevco would surely have been blasting it all over the place too in an effort to unsettle the player and ensure that we would drop him for the tie on the grounds that " he's contracted to sevco now and couldn't be trusted to perform". FWIW, I believe ( not ITK) that he is waiting to see if Sunderland come up and I Wigan stay up. I predicted in early November Sunderland would be his destination but only if they got promoted. However Wigan may be offering a better package should they stay in the Championship and if Sunderland come up, may leave him a choice to make. But he's not going to sevco....
  5. Definitely not the case
  6. ^^^^^^^ rumps' tranny alter ego
  7. My toaster sadly wouldn't fit you in If I pronged you with a garden fork and held you over a bonfire would that suffice?
  8. Honestly don't get what you guys are seeing in Stewart that justifies him getting a place in the side. He was no kingly bad in his first spell for us and is every bit as bad now. I'm not saying he's bad....he was great for Killie and Dundee....but rank rotten for us and apparently even worse for Birmingham. As I've said....some players just don't suit certain teams' and he doesn't suit us. McInnes can take the blame for this....he likes players up front to press defenders and track back whenever necessary. That's never been Stewart's game. He's also slow and horrendously one footed. Oh and predictable.I was horrified when we re-signed him despite his Killie form and have seen nothing to change my mind ever since. Once he was 8n the door obviously I wanted him to do well but just cannot see it ever happening for him in Aberdeen. I dread to think that he will be handed a 2 or 3 year deal, he keeps getting picked now whereas at least in his first spell when he did nothing hec was dropped for great chunks of the season. I wrote Forrester off by mid August as a dud. I'm hereby writing Stewart off as a dud for us....but he might be great for someone else.
  9. "Excellent pedigree in the English Championship" Birmingham couldn't give the f@cker away and they'd been trying for over 2 season's. He flopped in his first spell with us and he's flopping now. Just doesn't suit our style of play at all. Defenders know he will always cut inside onto his left foot....of which he possesses 2. Neither particularly good....if he does beat the defender, he will find a way of tackling himself before getting a shot or cross away. We need to get back to what was working just fine before Stewart strolled back in the door. Get May back in the side. Stewart to be used as a late impact sub only ( he might just be effective with fresh legs against a tiring defence). As for Ferguson...totally agree he needs rested, much as he did in December where we won in spite of his presence not because of it. He might get in in the upcoming international break unless there's also U21 games. But if not, surely Gleeson ( or even Campbell if you prefer) would be perfectly acceptable replacements for a couple of games against the likes of Dundee and Livi. Sadly don't think we will be allowed to win the replay. Oh and kudos to the guys who had the (sadly confiscated) Morelos mother banner...
  10. Fucking awful goal to concede just given sevco the liftvthey needed Stewart fannying about giving away a needless corner. I need say no more...
  11. So far so good. Just need to keep the 2 wingers quiet and we have got this. Longer the game goes the more frustrated they'll get....Morelos will do something bananas and they'll be down to 10. COYR
  12. Crikey the banhammer has come down with a mighty bang. Personally id've kept Sir Tim of Kendal Mintcake in purely for the comedy value. He's an arse and I understand he would get up some folks' fartpipes but I'm with Rocket on this one....free speech must reign. Oh and as it's game day....fuck the huns!
  13. The W.A.N.K.S/ W.A.E.P.A.L quines .l'll try and sort out a piccy of them in all their glory in the halcyon days of them celebrating fleecing the Westhill public for £70k....
  14. The nearer the game gets, the more confident I'm getting. Wednesday night I was expecting us to ship anywhere between 3 and 5 goals. Yesterday I thought 0-2. Now I'm thinking we can shitfest this 1-0. If we open up all guns blazing then I reckon they'll just pick us off at will. But frustrate the huns for half an hour then they start to get panicky themselves. Arrogance is their downfall. Surprise surprise wee Shug Keevins tips sevco. Good news as he has difficulty picking his own nose
  15. No they were wondering what vegetable to serve alongside you after they had put you in the pot. Then realised you are the biggest vegetable north of the Tay....and those tribesmen aren't vegetarian, the like a bit of meat in their stew.....
  16. I hope your nae slipping a length to one of thae quines on the side ( or any other position )..
  17. "Taigs"?? Aye you might well be at the match but in which end? Fuck off back to swallow swallow
  18. As I once saw quoted...."if it looks like a rumpus and smells like a rumpus, it probably is a rumpus"
  19. Was an absolutely crackpot appointment in the first place. However he was leading them to certain relegation anyway so they probably see it as a worthwhile gamble.
  20. Wright has done wonders at St J keeping them well out of relegation worries every year and working with a budget a fraction of ours. But therein lies the problem....he is well suited to finding players of limited ability and making them gel together into a hard working unit, capable on their day of beating anyone in a one off match but generally being a pretty boring side to watch. I've no doubt that if we came calling he would crawl on his hands and knees all the way up the road to sign on the dotted line. And he could be useful in maybe persuading Jason Kerr to follow him up ( a far better potential McKenna replacement than Shaughnessy). But would I trust him with a transfer budget ( ok more like a budget that allows him to attract better quality free transfers on account of the higher wages we pay) much higher than he is used to....no I wouldn't. The job he has done, you would perhaps have expected Hibs or Hearts to have made a move for him when their vacancies arose in the past couple of years but nope....or perhaps an EFL club....still nope. So I just think he's too untested to risk. Should the position become vacant in summer, Clarke would be the obvious candidate. I know he's been sickened by the west coast bigotry and has stated if he leaves Killie it will be to return south. Actually I'm amazed that Celtic rushed to appoint popcorn teeth....I know they needed to assuage the negative publicity of Brenda flouncing out the door to what their fans perceive as a diddy club. But taking a calmer approach might have led them to give Clarke a try, a far more intellectual candidate. Given a few months for things to settle down, he might just be tempted to have a crack at ramming things down the sevconian throats at a bigger better financed club. Beyond that....god knows. I still feel Wiggy won't fire DM, just let his contract run down. I don't think any of the current managers in Scotland would be considered ( maybe Neilson if he gets United up and consolidates) so I'd guess we would probably look at unemployed managers from down south, similar to Hibs with Heckingbottom. Just please please don't let the board consider Warburton the sevconian failure!
  21. I wanted McInnes out last January. Just felt at that point he'd taken us as far as he could. At that point it looked like we'd be finishing 3rd behind sevco but to his credit he got the team to rally and we pipped them to second right at the death. However this season, December aside, has been fucking dire. We have had a hoorin' run of injuries/suspensions I do accept but some of his signings came with a medical history that doctors could do full day seminars on so not that surprising. Had it been against the Glasgow or Edinburgh sides I could be a bit philosophical but no wins at home against Killie, Stenhousemuir, St Mirren and Hamilton? Nope sorry McInnes, that's completely unacceptable. I said that signing Stewart would force us to alter our style to suit him....well it just hasn't worked. He's not a bad player....just certain players styles sometimes just don't suit certain clubs. And by fuck he doesn't suit Aberdeen.... I think I'm correct in saying with 15 months left on his contract this is the closest DM has got in his time with us to it running out. I think what will happen is that the board will let it run down and he will leave at the end but I'd much rather we told him now that he can see out the season but we will pay him off in the summer and we bring in someone with fresh ideas. Sadly, in View of what's happened in the past fortnight or so, Clarke who would have been my first choice is now probably out of reach....he's said he won't manage another Scottish club and will head south when he leaves Killie. Not looking forward to Sunday. Could be embarrassing.
  22. Killie v Motherwell abandoned....fog
  23. McInnes lot Fucking embarrassing
  24. Fucking dire performance. Bizarre goal to lose, Lewis I can only presume thought it was going over the bar as he made no attempt at all to tip it over.....it was deffo a cross not a shot but Hamilton to that point had most of the territory anyway. Improved last 10 minutes of the half but FFS sevco walloped this lot at the weekend without breaking sweat. As good as Shinnie was on Saturday he's been as bad tonight. Ferguson totally anonymous....so far only McLennan, McGinn and Ball getting pass marks. Big change in performance required 2nd half
