Scott Allan will become available from the Dhims in January. He would solve the number 10 problem at a stroke but for certain Hivs will be in for him as well. Right now our best 11 is the one that started on Friday. When we inevitably pick up injuries/suspensions, Consi covers central defence/left back, Ball covers defensive midfield, Wright attacking midfield/wings and Anderson covers attack. Cosgrove covers the "let's do random shit" option. We do need cover for Logan....indeed we might even need to replace him if he chooses not to sign a contract extension. He obviously loves the club but his kids are down south and I can see him leaving for a club like Bury or Rochdale next season. I'd hope we can keep McKenna till next summer at least but if a club offers £7.5million in January I think he will be allowed to talk to them. That would leave us needing a new CH but clubs would know we had cash to burn and charge over inflated prices accordingly. I reckon DM would get £1.5 million of it to spend...I'd be happy going with Consi till season's end and get better value long term with a free transfer and using the cash to give better long term contracts to Joe, Devlin, GMS (if he will sign) and maybe offer Derby £500k for Lowe to see if they bite.

I've said it before.....only way i want Shinnie resigned is on the basis that he is told he is playing left back only. Yes he has a fantastic attitude but it cannot be allowed to detract from the fact that as a midfielder he is bang average. Completely one footed, so often tackles with the "wrong" foot which leads to free kicks and unnecessary bookings. Usually has a brain fart when he finds himself in possession up the field, the other night he fucked up in possession with a heavy touch and should have led to an equaliser when Kamberi blootered the ball into orbit rather than squaring to McLaren for what would have been a tap in. I honestly think Shinnie fancies at change now anyway. We could pay him £7.5k per week making him our highest ever paid player and yet any Championship club could easily double that and the top League 1 clubs would pay £10k plus. I have no inside info, this is just a hunch, but Jack Ross is doing well with Sunderland and will probably get promoted. He signed a good few Scots pre season including Cwith and McGeouch. I reckon Shinnie will be signing a pre-contract in January with them

I saw that. He did sound a bit snowflakey but there is a regular poster on there who is gay so maybe he was having a go at you as a way of sticking up for him?

Far more important to get Flipper resigned than it is to get Shinnie.

Well deserved point for Livi against the Dhims. They were on the back foot for most of the game understandably, but in no way was it a backs to the wall performance and certainly had a few chances to score themselves. Hope DM was watching...

You could treat the wife to a retro Gothenburg styled burqa while you are at it then

Unsurprisingly seeing as QOS were playing Ayr United

To be fair to Hearts they are suffering horrendously with injuries, both their first choice centre backs and strie pairing are out for months. On second thoughts, fuck 'em

Weather conditions meant it was never going to be a classic. Hibs had a gale at their backs first half, we had it second half for the first 15 minutes then the wind seemed to switch direction and Hivs had the benefit of it again till full time. Brilliant goal from GMS, never thought in a million years he would shoot when he did and that alone deserved to win the match. Last 5 minutes were a bit hairy, hanging on for grim death but the defence did their jobs well.....Logan had a few dodgy moments and his distribution was woeful but also came up with a couple of vital last second blocks/challenges. Devlin rightly m.o.m, McKenna, Lowe, GMS very good and May worked his socks off. Shinnie absolutely atrocious yet again. Had a quick peek at Fartz Kickback to see their gloating at the result. Theyve got a thread encouraging Levein to get GMS signed up on a pre-contract in January. Hope to hell we get him tied up before then. Also had a look a Hivs.net............spoonburners in total meltdown. FAF

Wilson had done nothing all game but Hibs getting the better of midfield wont be popular but I'd be getting Ball on for May now
-
Fucking hell Shinnie sold the shirts should be 1-1

yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaasssssssssssss

Wind is ruining the game. If we can hold on till half time, second half take pot shots from 35 even 40 yards out

Yet another minute's silence....

Gollum pulls out from reffing, purportedly to be a groin strain. However in light of the sevco accusations against him, his head could surely not have been in the right place anyway.... Replaced by Alan Muir

Richard Gordon said on radio last night that a month ago Christie was very open to signing a pre-contract with us in January but that the Dhims were forced into playing him because of their ever increasing injury list and there is now no way it will be happening and as Rico says, is likely to sign a new deal with them shortly. We are paying the price now for not showing a bit of ambition in August. I think £500k would have got him. £650k would definitely have got him. With what we are paying Man U for the Wilson loan, effectively we would have been paying £300-450k for an asset we would have owned with a decent chance of making a big profit in a couple of years

To be fair the rule does need looking at where blatant miscarriages of justice occur. But as Stewart says....not in mid season. Any rule changes decided upon should not come into force until the start of season 2109/20 -
Scottish football faces TV blackout as foreign firms set to pull plug
Ten Caat replied to Lencarl's topic in Football Chat
The only thing Doncaster should be demanding is that the SPFL pay up his contract in full when they bin him (at least 4 years overdue) However that Old Firm obsessed c@ant will probably still be shafting Scottish football for an excessive wage when sevco go tits up like their predecessors. And will engineer a way to let the new newco back into the league and find some way of convincing der Hun fans that mk3 is still the same club. As for the TV deal....meh -
Was a regular at Ibrox and Parkhead in the 80s/early 90s when we regularly stuffed both teams in their own backyard. Whilst the atmosphere in both shitholes was poisonous, genuinely never felt unsafe when exiting Celtic Park after inflicting a defeat on the Dhims. The same cannot be said for after a win at Ibrox. Worst was the 3-0 drubbing we gave them in 85 when they had 2 sent off and the hun supporters tried to get the match called off by orchestrating a mass pitch invasion. Game was halted for near 10 minutes till the Glasgow rozzers attempted to regain control. Their support left en masse about 10 minutes before full time and were waiting to ambush us as we exited the Broomloan. Took a few punches and kicks trying to get back to the bus. Rozzers just watched, yet when we tried to fight back they instantly threatened us with getting lifted. Bastards. Hate both of them...well I mean all 3 obviously since oldco/sevco are 2 different clubs. But will always hate oldco/sevco that bit more than Celtic

Far too many minute's silences being held these days. Sure it was a tragedy but it was a Leicester City incident and as far as I'm concerned should only have had them observing a minute's silence. I could probably (reluctantly) accept the other EPL clubs doing so too but there is just no way Scottish clubs should have been told to do so. Cannot stand this pseudo outpouring of grief that is being forced upon everyone these days.

You can bet your bottom dollar the SFA will find a way of rescinding the second yellow card despite there being (at present) no way in the rules to do so.....it's sevco so "where there's a billy boy, there's a way" It was a ridiculous decision to book Candeias in the first place, obviously he was the innocent party so when it happens it will be the correct decision. Just bizarre that sevco always seem to be the club that gets their decisions overturned whilst every other club seems to lose their appeals and even worse, have decisions that were not made during play suddenly find the new Compliance Officer flexing her muscles as if to justify her position and dish out suspensions. Am I being paranoid? -
If we go with a back 3 then there should be a chance of Devlin getting a game.....Tierney is bang out of form, he was the weak link in the back 3 against Israel and showed he really isn't cut out to play central defence at international level. However if it's a back 4 then I'd expect it to be McKenna/Hendry in central defence.
-
He takes plenty stick from us and gives it back. Usually Aberdeen win the match so the joke is usually on him. It's just a wind up from both sides. Nothing to see here
-
Wasn't tripe but was pretty inconspicuous for 80 minutes.....not his fault as the defence played 2 or 3 passes amongst themselves then proceeded to blooter the ball anywhere vaguely in the direction of the Killie 18 yard line. Ball is only here because DM realised that Gleeson is absolute gowder. I expect we will get him in on a free next summer and I've no problem with that as a useful squad player....Rico is correct that him, Ferguson and Shinnie don't work as a unit whilst on the park together (when trying to score goals anyway). The pitch was horrendous, balls bouncing 2 feet plus higher than they would on a grass pitch. Big advantage to a side playing on it every second week. I doubt it was watered but Ayrshire took a drenching last night so there would have been no need to anyway. It's 3 points but I expect a far better showing next wee against Hivs
