  1. The transgender lobby will love this. They have a voice (and it never seems to shut up these days) that is vastly disproportional to their tiny, albeit growing, community. And aided and abetted by ridiculous equality laws that always seem to advantage minority groups over the general public. Strangely enough, you don't find transsexual "men" competing against true men, far less winning in any sport. If I was a woman in that race I'd be screaming "game's a bogey" but no doubt their ruling body will be telling them to keep their subservient mouth's shut so as not to cause offence. Glad I've only got about 20-25 years left on this planet. World is fucked
  2. The very man to lead the blue Jutes gloriously down into the Championship. Surely to f@ck the Dundee board wouldn't be so stupid as to appoint that Hun c@nt?
  3. McLeish sees Mulgrew at his first choice centre back, at least for the time being. (I think if we fail to get out of the Nations League group, Mulgrew will retire from international duty and McLeish will be fired if he doesn't resign) The system McLeish is going with....3/5/2....is forced upon him "by the media" who apparently insist on Tierney playing with Robertson somewhere in the same team. So that's 2 left sided centre backs (in reality one centre back and one left back who isn't very good playing anywhere other than left back). McKenna would make up a triumvirate of left sided centre backs so unless it's a dire emergency, he aint gonna get picked right now automatically. Souttar is now suspended for the next NL game so it will be Hendry alongside the other 2 unless one of them gets injured or McLeish suddenly grows a pair, ignores the press and puts Tierney on the bench. Hopefully Devlin will get some game time against Portugal and keeps his place in the squad in November.
  4. We are in total agreement over McInnes although I only reached that decision around the new year. He was a vast upgrade on our previous bosses for over 20 years but I finally realised he could take us no further and hoped that he would leave with his dignity intact at the end of last season. (I still believe he would have joined sevco had he found even a hint of competency behind the scenes.....I'm sure it was his refusal that caused them to buck their ideas up allowing them to get the Gerrard/MacAllister team on board) I've stated on other threads that in view of his relative success, Milne will allow DM a dodgy season. We are stuck with him until at least the winter break of next season. Although McLeish could well resign or get the boot with a couple more disastrous results and create a vacancy that DM would surely be the front runner for, although the SFA would certainly have to up their pay rates to tempt him away. Sadly sevco have gambled (aided supposedly by a mystery backer) on getting to the later stages of the Europa Cup and with the assistance of an insanely easy draw.....which has continued into the group stages btw......it has paid off and I'm gutted to say, expect Celtic and sevco to now finish 1st and 2nd forever. It will be Celtic in pole position each year though unless Scotland gets a second Champions League place. Wiggy has got his wish. We now have a strong(ish) sevco.
  5. Devlin and GMS get well deserved call ups to the squad for the Portugal game.
  6. Dreadful news for the rest of Scottish football. As things stand, Celtic would continue to buy the league title with their Champions League cash for the foreseeable future. Sevco would have no choice but to either spend cash they don't have trying to stop this (the orc hordes are a demanding lot) and go bust in trying, or get so pissed off in failing that they make moves to join the English league system. Giving sevco access to the cash the Dhims get will even up the odds and ensure the old duopoly returns ad infinitum. And I'm not sure giving DM £2-3 million would get us the second place that RS thinks it might. Because I don't see Mcinnes changing his game management tactics anytime soon. Even with a better calibre of squad. And as we have seen this season, sevco can spend that kind of cash on 1 player, not the 4 or 5 we would do.
  7. But not in the class of Strachan, Simmie or even Stark......those were the calibre of players required to win the league. They were good enough to consistently get us second at a time when Celtic were a shambles but oldco were spending megabucks to try to land the European Cup (which they very nearly pulled off, being cheated by Marseille).
  8. Sevco would be miles in front had the red cards not been rescinded, had McGregor rightly been retrospctively punished for 2 f@ckin of the ball assaults and had they been forced to play the semi at Murrayfield. Big fat Jabba is being horribly under utilised thanks to a subserviant GFA
  9. He is the SFA's version of Tansey. He will be fine after a wee snifter on the plane home....
  10. Jocky Scott hat trick. Ally MacLeod........absolutely bonkers but an absolute gentleman
  11. 2-1 israel no fucking surprise. McLeish oot
  12. Israel been by far the better side and now we are down to 10 men Souttar just got 2nd yellow. McLeish employing DM style game management tactics. Embarrassing stuff
  13. Supposedly the ratio of Catholics to Protestants in NI is very close to being 50:50 now and Catholics should outnumber Protestants by the middle of this century. Wouldn't surprise me at all to see NI rejoining with the Republic before Scotland gets independence.
  14. I'll never forget that semi. Wife was in labour, I was watching the game on a portable in the corner as the midwives were dealing with her drip and other stuff. Daughter was born less than hour after the final whistle.
  15. It does help a bit when you are playing said semi a 400 yard stroll from your own home ground. Makes Hampdung look positively remote in comparison to the arse cheeks' home grounds.
  16. Always thought Gascoigne was vastly overrated. His IQ bordered on subnormal and could easily be wound up into getting cards. He was found out at Lazio where he totally flopped though i do accept he was recovering from a horrendous, yet self inflicted, injury. Laudrup was by far the best player in that oldco side. The SFA Hall of Fame should be for Scottish footballers only. But if they insist on letting foreigners in, then surely a wife beating alcoholic should automatically be barred from ever being nominated far less inducted. Oh hang on Jim Baxter got in...
  17. I can barely recall any of his time with us....although to be fair for a few seasons around the millennium I had other things far more important going on in life to really pay much, if any, attention to football.
  18. We could have had Calderwood or Alex fucking Miller in charge with the team that Fergie had in the early 80s and they would still have won us the domestic trophies we did. Only the ECWC might have been beyond their tactical wit. So it's 100% down to having shite players in the past 30 odd years that we haven't won any leagues ( even 91/92 the likes of Brian Irvine, Brian Grant, Mason etc just weren't of the required standard even tough we got very very close)
  19. Confirmed sevco getting all of North Stand. Allocation just shy of 26k in total
  20. I'm certain I saw late last week that only around 44k of the 50k capacity is sold to fans of both teams. Around 6k is distributed by the SPFL and SFA to corporate sponsors etc. (it was said that the likelihood is a sizeable majority of these corporate fannies would be sevconians anyway so even if we got a 50/50 split we'd still end up outnumbered). I take it sevco are getting the whole of the North stand. It stinks but absolutely no surprise.
  21. If McLennan (or indeed the medical staff/McInnes) let him play after a dislocated shoulder for at least 4 week they need sacking. Yes a dislocation can pop in fairly easily (though not always) and with a bit of strapping to support it could allow the player to finish the game....the damage has been done. But there will be ligament/muscle damage around the joint and the only way to heal it is absolute rest of the joint. which takes between 4-6 weeks. If not fully healed the risk of reoccurance is huge and can lead to permanent damage. I'll state equivocally he will not even be in the squad for the Hearts game
  22. Fanny McCoist supports Wolves?
  23. And this has what to do with the Dhims?
  24. As I said on another thread....McLennan's shoulder injury will keep him out for over a month so it won't be the same starting eleven. McGinn and Wright should be available. Wilson is an enigma. I wouldn't bank on him ever being available, just treat the occasions when he is fit as a bonus. Cosgrove played well and really doesn't deserve dropping, especially with Hearts being a typical Levein outfit full of big bruisers. If Wilson is fit I think he should come off the bench and given 20-30 minutes.
  25. He absolutely is but nobody else in the Labour Party wants it and as such he will accept their position to guarantee no one challenges his leadership in the meantime. I guarantee if we are out that the next election whenever it happens will be fought on a "Labour backs rejoining the EU" ticket
