  1. He was a politician. Now an alleged sex pest
  2. If May was getting 4 or 5 chances a game and fucking them all up I would say yes drop him and give someone else a go. But we are hardly creating chances at all even with 11 men (St Boo game excepted). As Elgindon has said, May has been fairly good overall past few games with all round play and he was in no way at fault for yesterday's defeat. The red card for Devlin should be rescinded as Logan was level with Brophy and at very least could have made things awkward but we don't play in blue and aren't 6 years old so fuck only knows what the SFA will do.
  3. Gerrard has just admitted on radio interview McGregor should have been sent off..... Compliance officer has no option now
  4. McGregor (yet again) has a sly kick at Ajer after a corner in the first half. Had ref seen it then a definite red card. As no action was taken the Compliance officer can take retrospective action if he sees fit. The incident is very clear. What's the odds on fuck all happening though?
  5. I don't think McInnes is under any pressure from the board this season unless we find ourselves in the bottom 3 after New Year. There was definitely a big rebuilding job to do and whilst I don't think his recruitment in general has been up to much he will be allowed a season of mediocrity. The big test will come next year once he gets his paws on the new training ground. Anything worse than 4th place or a cup win and I think he would be offski. Of course there comes a time when every manager reaches the end of his shelf life. Personally I thought it was back in January for DM. Had the sevco gig been anything like it is now he would surely have left last November. so even though I think the board would allow him an iffy season maybe McInnes might think that would damage his reputation and could decide to walk if results dont improve dramatically over the next couple of months.
  6. Even if he is cleared ( however I'm firmly in the "no smoke without fire" camp) I really think we have seen the last of Salmond in front line politics. He is damaged goods and surely could not overcome an allegation that has proven fatal to other political careers in the past. Sturgeon I do not believe was behind this but privately I'm sure will be quite happy in the knowledge the only person currently capable of stopping her becoming the leader of a newly independent Scotland.
  7. He has been sent back to Watford for their medical team to take a look but yes looks like surgery is needed. Thank god it is the international break now cos as it stands there is no Hoban, Devlin suspended (we will appeal but we aint sevco so the chances of it getting rescinded are minimal) and McKenna may or may not be fit in time for our next game. The way it is going you can bet he won't. Anyway saw game on a stream which came and went intermittently. Gleeson must now be getting severely pissed off and DM should hang his head in shame at what he did. He could (and should) have just dropped Ferguson in beside Consi and brought McGinn into central midfield and see how things went at least for 15-20 minutes. If it wasn't working then yes by all means make a switch bringing Ball on and sacrificing McGinn or May. I'm no fan of Gleeson and I don't think he is fit enough to play 90 minutes as yet but he does retain possession well which is what we needed to do and he should havre been on for at least 65 minutes or so. Their first goal sadly was another Joe howler. Like most of us I think he is the best we have had since Kjaer but he is definitely costing us 3 or 4 games every season with rank bad goalkeeping. Had we got to half time all square we could have regrouped and Killie would have felt compelled with a man advantage to really go for it second half and may have left us a wee chance to nick a goal on the counter attack. Overall its been a disappointing window with too many crocks and just utter shyte brought on board. Even at this early stage I cannot see us finishing higher than 4th and even that might be a stretch.
  8. The goal he scored?? First effort from 3 yards follow up from 1 yard?? Boy must be made of fkn glass
  9. I think we will do the business going for a 2-0 win but as said before the injury to Wilson is definitely worrying, don't think we will see him till mid October at the earliest now. International break has come at a good time hopefully we get through today with no more injuries and gives Lowe a couple of weeks to get to know the players and system. I wouldn't start him today just give him 15-20 minutes to say hello to the fans if we are ahead. Hopefully Mckenna will be fit by the St Johnstone game in 2 weeks.
  10. I wouldn't be against that but I do doubt it is something you will see under the present incumbent of the manager's chair.
  11. If it was £6.5 million then I am astounded we turned it down. 18 months ago he was struggling to get a regular game for Ayr united. Now he is a Scotland international and looks like being a fixture in future squads. But the games against Burnley in particular showed that he is nowhere near the finished article and still quite naive in certain situations. Hopefully he will kick on and improve further in which case £8-10 million might be possible but if he comes back from injury and is shite for a few games his value instantly drops. Big gamble. I think we should have cashed in with the proviso of a decent sell on percentage.
  12. In prize money thats their guaranteed pot. However they get 2 games at home with a guaranteed sell out of 50k fans. At around £28 a ticket even allowing for maybe 5k being kids at half price they will rake in well over a further £2.5 million alone. You would have to think with them getting probably the easiest group they could have (how do these bastards do it??) they might well win a home match and maybe a draw on top so that brings their total pot to well over £5 million all in. And thats not even counting corporate stuff, TV rights, fucking Broxi burgers etc...... They are safe for another 12 months sadly
  13. Said it before and I'll say it again.... Lennon would get us winning trophies given a modicum of support in a transfer window (£2-3million). And if nothing else the team would be fucking good to watch.
  14. They weren't relegated..... They were a new club who had to apply for membership to the league system in Scotland. At that point the Premiership and the other 3 leagues were also 2 separate bodies. They initially tried to get into the Premiership and were told to f@ck off.....it was Aberdeen who were allowed to give the crucial no vote which meant they definitely weren't getting in though in the end IIRC 11 clubs voted no in total and Killie abstained. So Dungcaster et al tried to shoehorn them into the First Division totally ignoring the rules that existed however the First Division chairmen on the whole also delivered a dirty great "fuck off" (the Raith Rovers chairman now deceased was an absolute hero at the time) and the rules were adhered to that any new club joining the Scottish league system must start at the bottom rung. Of course other established clubs who had tried to join the league system for years (gala fairydean etc) were totally overlooked in favour of the new club in filling that vacant space. Those cunts should really have been forced to start in the lowest rung of the West of Scotland juniors........
  15. Even so just look at the draw we would have got had we beaten Burnley.....the Turkish league runners up followed by Olympiakos..... Sevco with a lower coefficient go on a procession through various former Yugoslav republics facing relative shyte. I do credit them with getting the job done though. They are without doubt a different animal to the one of last season and playing 25 minutes plus with only 9 men and not losing a goal shows they are well organised. They will get found out in the group stages but the cash they will earn sadly means they have recouped all their speculative outlay and are safe for another season.
  16. Not signing enough replacements early enough to replace those that left in the close season. And getting one of the 3 hardest teams we could have drawn at that point whereas a certain newish club in their second season in Europe got a draw that they would almost have hand picked if they had the choice. Those hot balls the SFA use mustve got transported to UEFA HQ.....
  17. Bad news.....latest score Ufa 1 sevco 1 Upside......Morelos has just collected another red card Edit....beaten to it by Lencarl
  18. Loan till January is a bit of a puzzler. Doesn't really make a lot of sense unless the club are playing down the length of absence McKenna will be missing for. Or as Rico has said, if McKenna is offski tomorrow. If DM was really serious about going with a conventional left back/wing back surely the loan would have been for the full season?
  19. He also picks up countless absolutely pointless bookings whilst in midfield by flying into needless challenges, often quite early in games, in parts of the pitch where there was no immediate danger. This tally of bookings is usually enough to see him pick up 2 suspensions per season and the suspensions get longer every time.....pretty sure his next one will be a 4 matcher. Obviously the one following that will be a 5 matcher so if he continues at his usual rate he will be missing almost a quarter of the season in suspensions alone. Now this point could become moot in the next couple of days if we get this loan left back on board but if we don't then Shinnie at left back I don't believe would get booked as often.....and when he does at least the booking would be "worth" the punishment as the foul would occur with the opposition threatening. There is also no question that we are a more potent attacking threat ourselves with Shinnie maurauding down the left wing in support of GMS/McGinn. As it stands he at present often finds himself in possession centrally near the oppo penalty box and has an absolute brain fart as he clearly has no idea when to shoot or pass. There is also the question of the defensive midfield pairing. Its no secret that I really don't rate Gleeson at all for reasons I've mentioned elsewhere. Gleeson is totally immobile so with a Gleeson/Shinnie combination which has been the starting option so far due to Logan's suspension, it is generally left to Shinnie to support higher up the field when we are attacking.....cue said brain fart when he ends up in possession. Hopefully Ball will replace Gleeson as Shinnie's dm partner as although you could never describe him as quick, at least he does have a decent engine and can get up and down the park for a full 90 minutes and will allow Shinnie to play the more holding role that Gleeson occupies.
  20. Gauld would push Forrester even further out the picture. Going to have one very unhappy player on our hands that we paid cash for
  21. The Record are going with it
  22. He will be the player-manager there before Christmas
  23. Have a simmie Anything at all to disrupt the west coast bias inherent in the SFA and the media has to be a good thing.
  24. Well if DM is still insistent on not playing Shinnie at left back then I for one would far rather we signed a proper left back than try to shoehorn Consi in there. There's no evidence as yet that anyone is leaving.
