  1. Pretty sure company accounts are public records that anyone can access for a relatively small fee
  2. All widely reported at the time of their signings. Hayes is on £6k/week. Of course it could be bullshit but the press can get access to company accounts detailing who gets paid what fairly easily so on this one I trust their info. I was all for signing Christie earlier in the year till I found out his wages. I stick to my assertation. He won't be joining us anytime soon unless he is prepared to take a big old hit in the pocket. He can get at very least an equivalent paying contract that he is on now at a Barnsley or similar...... Allan is doable. I was certain he was Hivs bound but apparently not.
  3. £4k same as Scott Allan
  4. He is on £7.5k/week at the dhims. There is just no way we can get close to matching that. I think he will sit tight and sign for a lower end Championship club in January on at least equivalent wages. Coming here if he got the bog standard £3.5k/week he would lose over £600k over the length of a 3 year contract. Even if we pushed the boat out and went to £5k/week he would still lose nearly £400k. Not including better win bonuses. It just won't be happening...
  5. Can't stand them (I accept loaning a youngster out to a lower division club has it's place) but with the money down south utterly ruining the game I grudgingly accept it is the only way we can get players of decent quality in that let us compete at the top end of the SPFL. Still think clubs should be limited to 2 loans in max
  6. I am!
  7. Ok I'll put my hand up....I'm writing him off already as not good enough. He is slow, looks overweight and not much of a tackler. And I'll suggest that is why DM went and brought Dom Ball back....we had signed 3 midfielders in Gleeson, Forrester and Ferguson, we obviously needed a new striker as priority yet he felt compelled to go and bring in another defensive midfielder covering exactly the same position as Gleeson was meant to. It has been mentioned elsewhere about McInnes being reluctant to blood youth. Well fingers crossed he starts giving Dean Campbell some game time soon. I predict that Ball and Shinnie will be our preferred defensive midfield pairing for the first half of the season. Hopefully by Feb/March with some decent game time behind him, Campbell will be filling Ball's position and Gleeson will be offski to some club in English League 2 on a free next summer. Just my opinion like
  8. Kari Arneson?
  9. And oot the Champions League go the dhimmery Straight into the Europa League round 4
  10. We usually get at least 15k in for Euro games and sell out for a biggish name. Allowing for concessions etc lets say we average £20 per seat sold (probably is more than this but lets assume worst case)....thats £300k min plus any TV rights etc. So possibly near £350k all in. £450k for a sell out. Chartering a plane costs roughly £30k-£50k depending on size plus fuel costs (Which will at least double that figure. The further you go the more you pay. Kazakhstan is worst case scenario....will probably quadruple the fuel cost) so anything between £60k and £150k. Hotel costs on top say £10k. Of course if its a biggish plane you can sell some seats to mitigate some of the costs. So yes Europe is financially well worth the effort. And as said before it is a useful exercise in getting the team up to speed for the domestic season. Getting through 2 or 3 rounds is great. Getting to the group stages is the Holy Grail for clubs our size. £3million guaranteed plus gates. Its a bastard that sevco look like they'll get to that stage.
  11. Pretty sure it's league games so still out for Hivs away but could play on Sat should DM want to pick him. With the backline injuries we have can't imagine he wouldn't want to.
  12. Agree re Gleeson, seen nothing as yet to convince me that he deserves to oust Ball from the dm role once Logan is back off his ban. Forrester also has been disappointing so far. Maybe it says something that Peterborough were willing to sell him relatively cheaply despite the platitudes from their manager at that point. Still hoping we go for Allan from the dhims. Would certainly push Forrester even further down the pecking list.
  13. So was Ralph Milne at one stage. Wtf was Fergie thinking??
  14. And then Wilson gets injured in his 3rd game for us out for 6-8 weeks leaving us with Cosgrove or Anderson as our only options? I would agree with you wholeheartedly if we got 2 strikers in but we cannot take the chance with just one in the door.
  15. I think the £30k/week puts the chances of us getting him on a permanent contract at precisely 0%. Obviously he ain't getting a new contract at Man U but if he does well at us he will get a Championship club no problem on £15k/week easily. Even if he doesn't do well with us he will get a League 1 club on northwards of £7k/week. That's the reason I'm not getting over excited about this signing. He's a short term solution to a problem we are going to be revisiting next summer.
  16. Expect May will be the one to suffer from this initially at least. Hope his confidence doesn't suffer as a consequence.
  17. Handed the number 9 shirt. Take it that means he isn't just a bonus ball signing and is in fact going to be our main striker. Still meh
  18. He will get out on licence but I hope to f@ck you aren't suggesting this nonce as a possible signing when he does get out?
  19. Sevco 2-0 up but have just had McCrorie sent off. Wonder what grounds the SFA will rescind this one on?
  20. McKenna will probably still be injured when the international break occurs. Can't think of another Scottish central defender who has started the season as well as Devlin (perhaps Hanlon at Hibs).......will McLeish give him a call up?
  21. Actually thought May wasn't that bad today, linked play well and put in a couple of crosses which should have seen a better end product. Cosgrove was awful. i do agree with Lencarl that we probably have enough about us to win against the bottom 5 pretty much all the time even when we are honking. However Hearts. Hibs and sevco are all better than last season and unless we improve rapidly they will take more points off us, probably significantly more, than we do against them. I'd say right now we won't finish higher than 4th unless we get probably 3 new players in before the window shuts......new main striker, full back cover (starter if its a left back) and a specialist number 10. I can live with May not scoring that many (but certainly at least 10 per season) if he is laying on decent chances for whatever new striker comes on board. Cosgrove I'm afraid should now be restricted to 15 minute cameo's where we need to shake things up in games that aren't going our way.
  22. If we were to sign someone from Celtic I'd far rather we tried for Scott Allan. Can pick a pass and create chances which right now we just aren't doing. Christie I feel is just too much of a "me me me" player.....can be devastating on his day but hides when things aren't going his way. Still need a striker in first though (in fact probably 2 as I think I've joined the band that believe Cosgrove is terminally pap)
  23. Sounds a fkn dreary old game. 11 corners yet sod all end product. Lets hope Anderson can change things
