  1. What a goal!!!
  2. Yet another update Directors were in Burnley Cricket Club pre match. Have apparently told the fans there that we have a bid over £500k in for a player who hasnt been mentioned in press or in rumours and that its looking positive. Fingers crossed then
  3. deffo midfield to blame but Mckenna looks shaky
  4. Quick update from the Hat on the striker we are supposed to be signing...... The guy supposedly ITK has taken dogs abuse as nothing has happened as yet but insists it is still on. He has shared the name with one other member who when speared has only said he "would be surprised" if it was indeed who we are signing. I smell shite....
  5. Going by the title of the thread I thought we had just announced Glen Miller as our new striker
  6. Given that he played for oldco you would hope that they would join in or at very least keep a respectful silence
  7. Hes absolutely Stuart Sutcliffe about it. Wont name names but says it isnt Moult and we now know it cant be Eoin Doyle (thank f@ck) as he has just signed for Bradford
  8. Guy on the Hat reckons we have signed a striker this evening to be announced tomorrow pre match. We are down in Lancashire.......hmmmm
  9. St Boo were first in line to sign him. now they would know his wages at B/ham as the £6k/week was widely made public when he signed. So they wouldn't have been offering their standard £1500/week to their squad fillers. He would probably have been made their highest paid player which you would guess would be north of £2.5k/week......and he turned them down. At that point neither ourselves nor Hearts were in the picture so he wouldn't have turned them down on the basis of knowing a better offer was on the table. Of course he could sit on his (fat) arse and continue to hoover up his £6k/week for doing sweet FA. I can't imagine Birmingham would be offering a payoff more than half of what his contract would be worth if he did indeed sit it out so any club signing him would need to be paying him a minimum £3k/week. And even then he will want a signing on fee to cover his costs in relocation etc. Just not worth it IMHO
  10. Although at least May has the excuse of having suffered a career threatening injury. £400k was probably a punt too far but his pedigree no doubt swung things. Stewart would be looking for wages around £4-5k/week plus a hefty signing on fee. Just too much of a gamble for a guy likely only to be a regular impact sub.
  11. Right now we have 3 wingers and only 2 strikers. Of the wingers only McGinn is at present classed as a first choice for our starting 11, although GMS has started the season brightly and may well also become a regular starter. Stewart was honking for the vast majority of last season and I don't think looked particularly interested at times. If we were to sign him he would use up a large chunk of DM's budget (was on a reported 6k/week at Birmingham) that we really should be using to get a 3rd striker in first. If he were to sign I just can't see him being anything other than a sub more often than not, covering GMS mainly. If we really do need another winger then surely there is a young talent at a Scottish Championship club who might cost £50-100k but only around £1000/week in wages and who could have a decent sell on value in 2 or 3 years time. Stewart is just pouring cash down the drain for very little return...
  12. Another of Dungcaster's fuck ups. Genuinely no idea how that ugly speccy c@nt still clings on to a job in Scottish football. When his mate Regan walked before he was pushed Dungcaster should have been put on the same train south. Anyway let's hope we get a decent replacement deal in place when this cowboy outfit do go tits up.
  13. Let's hope Fartz win the race for his signature then. Overweight, overpaid, overrated and over-the-hill. Was decent for Dundee 3 seasons ago but really don't think he will ever recapture that form.
  14. Possibly, but if they do they should also demand a refund from whoever they bought the satnav from.....
  15. Nah he has found his level. Maybe Dundee or Motherwell might take a punt but we need better quality
  16. Scotland voted for independence. We allowed (quite rightly) the 380000 or so English born residents and 100000 or so other eligible resident nationalities to participate in the referendum. Only around 10% of the English and around 60% of the "others" voted Yes. So discounting those No votes, or even discounting the English/others votes in total, either way the result would have been a Yes victory (52% to 48%) FWIW I reckon Salmond goofed by going for it too soon. We know the under 30s are strongly in favour (nearly 80% in favour) but the older generation strongly Unionist...not surprising being born around WW2 or earlier, seeing creation of NHS, state pensions, welfare etc. Until that generation are mostly gone the numbers just dont stack up. I hope Sturgeon has the good sense to hang fire at least another 5 years to call another referendum as we cannot seriously expect another one for at least a generation should Indyref2 go the wrong way
  17. 2 words HE'S SHITE
  18. Perhaps there shouldn't be but there is and the SFA haven't done anything obvious to remedy a situation that has reoccurred throughout the decades. Perhaps my ire should be focussed on the authorities, we know it was a genuine mistake on Hearts' part. (And had it been us or celtic or sevco that had done it we would also have escaped lightly). You can rest assured had it been one of the diddy teams that had transgressed they would have copped the full penalty. Also.....had this happened in the knockout stages the cop out would not have been available to them. Hearts would have forfeited the tie......
  19. The onus is on the club to ensure all their players are properly registered. Had the SFA f@cked up there woiuld have been an admission of this and no penalty levied. Also Hearts have not appealed the decision......ergo they know they were at fault
  20. If it had been any other team in that group fielding an ineligible player you can bet your bottom dollar it would have been the full 3 points docked. Making it just the 2 points made it still mathematically possible for Fartz to qualify providing they won both their remaining games (which you really would have expected them to do anyway given the relative financial superiority and both were at Tynecastle). And with the draw they have got in the last 16 should expect a relatively easy passage into the quarters. These cheating bastards could just go all the way. Absolutely disgusting.
  21. Trouble after sevco beat Wigan 3-0 earlier today. Running battles with bottles getting lobbed in Hope Street as Wigan fans tried to get back to Central Station. Theres video of it all on you tube. Some hun roaster went on twitter to beg sevconians not to share the footage if they receive it. However the Dhims are sharing it in a similar manner to Jesus and his loaves and fishes trick..... Fucking neanderthals
  22. Obviously i hope sevco get shocked at home on Thursday and go out. However if they progress can't remem who they drew but IIRC it looked like being yet another easyish tie. So if Burnley do indeed progress then I hope to hell the get the tribute act in round 4 and stick 5 past the gits home and away
  23. I think it's over. I don't rate their defence particularly highly but they are a lot better than us in midfield and attack. We certainly won't be disgraced though. Actually wouldn't be surprised at a 0-0 draw though more likely a 1 or 2 nil defeat. Would love to be proved wrong though. However as I've stated elsewhere.......sevco next Sunday really should be our priority and I'd settle for us going out as long as our players get through the tie uninjured.
  24. It probably was McKenna's fault to be fair. Got caught wrong side of Vokes and seemed to lose sight of the ball after Vokes' first touch. However Hoban also has to take a share of the blame was outmuscled by Vokes as the ball was dropping. Devlin entirely blameless. I'd agree McKenna does still have the odd howler in him but he's good for 5 goals a season which should easily counteract those howlers and his distribution has improved a thousand percent in the past 6 months. Would any of our fans really swap him for Mee? I doubt a single one would.
  25. Hes isnt "one for the future"....he's a first choice Scotland international who has captained his country. Would be a massive upgrade on your guy....
