Kari/Logan 60/40 to blame for the penalty. Woodman was ok bar one mad rush out to the edge of his box unnecessarily so. May just doesn't look fit and Rooney is a waste of a jersey out on the wing. I know folk don't like Consi at left back but by Christ did we miss Shinnie in midfield today.

Not sure I even want Maynard to break his duck now, or worse still get 4 or 5 more before season's end. If he does knowing DM he will give him a new contract
-
He quoted being away from his family down south as being the main reason......very handy excuse when your team is adrift at the foot of the league. I think Dundee have enough quality to get themselves away from any danger of relegation so it will be between Coonty, Partick and Hamilton as to who falls through the trapdoor at season's end. Really hope it is Hamilton who go, shitey ground, even shitier pitch and shitier still fans. However they do seem to have the knack of grinding out results against their close rivals so not holding my breath.

I'd guess the problem is more the travelling Kilmarnock have to do to get to Aberdeen. Police Scotland advice is still not to travel at all. The M80 was blocked overnight motorists stranded for 17 hours. Snow is still falling in East Scotland. Tbh I would be amazed if the game goes ahead.

Wonder when DM will be linked with it

Dirthy Filthy Hun Scumbag Vermin (deceased) and Poundland tribute act

SFA/SPFL will never act as they are complicit in the whole resurrection from the dead myth that all sevconians peddle.....once sevco go bust there is a chance the truth might emerge as to what role the ruling bodies played in offfering every assistance to the newco including trying to shoehorn the new entity into the Championship ( Division 1 as it was known as then) and rejecting the claims of clubs in both the Highland and East of Scotland leagues to join the senior league system in favour of a brand new entity. Only once these skeletons are released from the Hampden cupboard will we see a single body formed out of the ashes of those 2 corrupt self serving institutions. One hopefully that acts in the best interests of all the clubs rather than the 2 largest clubs based in Glasgow. -

I'd guess he will fuck off back to South Africa sharpish, never to return. Sevco will be left to the mercy of the remaining board members, none of whom seem willing to commit serious cash to refloat a sinking ship. Probably another share issue will be offered in the summer......it's success or failure will either see sevco stumble on mounting up ever increasing debts for 2-3 more years or lead to admin before the start of next season. -
The 7 I mentioned as easily replaceable have got us to 3rd in the league with 2nd still a possibility ( becoming remote I accept and 4th place is probably equally as possible) and also with a decent chance of being in a Cup semi. DM's recruitment despite being at best average has therefore produced consistent results over his tenure so I have no doubt if he is still in charge he would get in players at least as good and no worse as those 7 leaving. A new manager obviously is an inherent risk. Hopefully he would prove over the medium to long term better than DM in the recruitment stakes and with better outcomes. Clarke is a safe pair of hands, knows the English leagues intimately but I fear England is where his true ambitions lie and I fully expect him to be offered a low to mid table Championship club or top end EFL 1 gig within 12 months or sooner. Popcorn teeth has a proven record in Scotland but was dross down south. I believe we would offer a better all round package than he gets at Hivs but he does seem very comfortable there and has the best chief exec in the country working with him. Jack Ross has done fantastically well at St Boo but obv is unproven at a higher level. Anyway I still insist that whoever is in charge, those 7 players will be replaced by others of at least equivalent ability.
-
Sure whoever is in charge come summer faces a huge rebuilding job but to say we are fucked is a bit OTT. Yes 10 players are leaving but out of those 10 who will we truly miss? I'd posit only Christie (and we might just be able to get Celtic to sell him to us for a reasonable price in the summer) and McLean. Perhaps Arnie too as he is a class act but he only plays around 50% anyway. The other 7 are easily replaceable with players at least as good and hopefully a darned sight better. I wouldn't bank on a top 3 place next season as Hibs will only be stronger, Fartz will also improve. Sevco will be better but on the flipside they could go bust at any time especially with today's court decision. I could accept that if it is a new gaffer in charge and the team steadily improves over the course of the season. However if DM is still in charge then any such leniency is strictly limited to being no worse than 4th at the New Year break and within 5/6 points of the 3rd place team max.
-
I really don't think it will be an issue as to win the Cup we are going to have to face at least one of the cheeks in the final and quite possibly both if we draw the other in the semi. I'd like to think that we would have a bit of a chance against sevco but if it transpires we face the dhims then i fully expect yet another pumping. To actually win the Cup would really take us to have 9 players performing excellently and the other 2 performing very well, or the other team having a really bad day at the office allied to an injury crisis. Lets face it if we were in the final we would have Maynard on the bench. Sevco or Celtic would have him cleaning out the training ground toilets.....
-
Good call. Really didnt fancy a 120 odd mile round trip drive in that weather.
-
Unfortunately yes. The manner of defeats by the spoonburners and dhims has left me with the conclusion that he hasn't got what it takes to mount even a token challenge at the top end of the league. Even if we win the Cup I still think he should go. In view of his 5 years service and improving us from where we were I would still rather he goes of his own volition and should be allowed to see the season out.
-
Afraid yes there must be a parting of ways come season's end at the latest. I'd prefer that he resigns thus allowing him to leave with his head held high. Indeed there is once more talk that the West Brom gig is likely to be up for grabs shortly and this could offer an easy way out which suits both parties. However if he is still here by late June and showing no sign of resigning then Wiggy has to give him his jotters.
-
I'm guessing that DM believes Arnie cannot play 2 games in under a week so have no doubt AOC will start alongside McKenna. Shinnie will go straight back into midfield and Christie will replace Nwakali with McLean dropping deeper. Still think a weather postponement would be a good thing
-
Difficult game after 2 rank rotten performances. Would be no bad thing I believe if the weather caused a postponement. In (if on) 1-1 ( Christie)
-
If as I think now a majority hope, we are looking for a new gaffer in the summer, we should at least ask the question. Money talks and I'm sure we could offer him at least 25-50% more than he is on at present plus a better budget for incoming players. With the prospect of playing in a purpose built new stadium and dedicated training facilities in the near future (I realise he already has this with Hibs). If he turned us down, well at least we could say we tried.
-
Logan isn't fit to lace McKimmie's boots. Also Anderson started out as a right back and Logan isn't as good as he was either. Agree it is bizarre that we have 3 first team players able to cover left back in Shinnie, Consi and Reynolds (and at a push GMS could probably be put there in utter emergency) and young Harvie has a decent enough reputation in the U21's yet if Logan gets injured/suspended there is no one obvious to fill in. Whoever is in charge come summer better get this sorted.
-
Meant to say earlier.....Logan has been honking all season but today he was even more abysmal than his previous levels of shyteness. Definitely needs replacing in summer but he needs taking out for 2 or 3 games immediately give one of the young eens a shot, 2nd place is probably gone anyway.
-
Certainly a better performance than the previous 2 this season.......we did have short periods in the game where we pressed them high up the park and during these times we did carve out chances at least one of which (GMS) should have been buried. However the majority of the time we reverted to type and sat off them.......and we know from past experience that doing so just does not work. Sad to say but the time has come for a change. DM is responsible for the tactics and as such his intransigence in insisting on playing the same way against the cheeks time and time again makes him culpable. He should therefore be allowed to see out this season and allowed to then resign with his head held high and leave with our thanks for improving us dramatically from where he found us. Only if he refuses to do so should he be given his jotters.
-
Certainly seems like McInnes hasnt got a clue how to set up against the cheeks. Hopefully he will resign in the summer. Still think popcorn teeth would instil a different mentality into our players.
-
normal service resumed
-
Lucky not be be behind but so far so good and at least we are making a few chances ourselves
-
I'd be amazed if sevco don't try to get Clarke in as manager in summer even if he is the "wrong" religion to their sectarian hordes.....
-
2-2 after 60 minutes and popcorn teeth sent to the stand. Game on!
-
Spoonburners looking good for the win will only be 2 points behind us if things stay the same. Hopefully Killie can stage a comeback
