Dirthy Filthy Hun Scumbag Vermin (deceased) and Poundland tribute act
Ten Caat replied to mizer's topic in Football Chat
Quite simply because the taxman knows it isn't the same entity so doing so would be futile. The "same club" myth has been fomented by a corrupt SFA/SPFL and aided by a compliant media. This should have been challenged at the time Charles Green suddenly declared sevco to be the same club as the one which was liquidated a few months previous, and which played its first league game in Division 3 (live on TV ffs) as "The Rangers". Why they were subsequently allowed to drop the "The" is up for debate but the ruling bodies must have okayed it and the sevconian hordes then rewrote history, claiming at every turn that oldco went into administration (they NEVER mention the L word) and claim to have been "demoted" when in fact they were admitted into Division 3 ahead of other clubs with a full history and better claims......those newco c@nts should have started in the West juniors bottom division. -

They try to ensure every team post split achieves a 19/19 home/away split of games. However not always possible and it is the lowest ranked team based on previous season who would suffer an 18/20 split should it not be possible to get everyone a 19/19 split. In this instance it would be most likely Hibs to suffer this season, we had it a few seasons back. Bizarre circumstances this season where sevco should be due to play 4 or even all 5 of the teams post split away from home. But to get 19/19 they will need to play 2 of those teams at home a third time. Obviously there is no way it will be Celtic and with us likely to be rivalling sevco for 2nd and 3rd place it won't be us either. As Hibs are going to be the lowest ranked of the top 6 (barring a bizarre collapse) we can be sure they will be one of the teams to suffer a 3rd trip to Ibrokes. As it stands it looks like its going to be either Motherwell or Killie who take 6th place. If it is Motherwell, then its no problem they would be due to visit sevco to even up the 4 matches but if it is Killie this is where the controversy would arise. I suspect it would be Killie who would end up facing a 3rd trip to Ibrokes based on last season's league placings but it isn't inconceivable that it could be Hearts who end up going there a third time. The SPFL will doubtless have their fingers crossed it's Motherwell who finish in 6th spot.

9 clubs already (mostly on loan) and he's only just turned 24. Was a genuine prospect at the Dhims but seems to have lost his way. Would offer something a bit different to our present strikers, if we do get him in hopefully we won't see any more of Maynard.....offer him a payoff to f@ck off early?
-
His starting point was with a squad just promoted from the Championship that was significantly weaker than ours and with a budget significantly lower than ours. Thus we opened a gap in the table due to Hibs understandably being inconsistent. We were very consistent.....beating all the dross but capitulating against the cheeks. Lennon has improved Hibs markedly in the January window and if we lose on Saturday we could find ourselves only 2 points ahead. I'd still expect us to finish ahead of them at season's end but if Lennon is still there at the start of next season then with the rebuilding job we face I wouldn't be entirely confident of finishing ahead of them then.

I certainly am not advocating DM getting bulleted, he wouldn't deserve that yet, but I was thinking that in light of him nearly taking the sevco gig (and there's no doubt with a better sevco board he would have gone) that he may not fancy the large rebuilding job that is coming up in the summer. Plus the West Brom gig may also be up for grabs and he would never turn that down if offered. I can understand some folk saying no way to Lennon. However he would bring with him a GIRFUY attitude to playing the cheeks that DM sadly lacks. I just hope that in the event that we are needing a new gaffer in the summer that the board doesn't just take the easy and cheap option of going for Jack Ross without at least trying to tempt a far more proven quantity in Lennon.

Wish I had your sense of optimism but a Shinnieless midfield (and an AOCful central defence) gives me the fear

Had 24 hours to reflect on yesterdays performance. Sure having no Shinnie was a big loss but DM's constant capitulation in the really big games now seems to be spilling over into games against Hibs (and we have been poor against Hearts twice as well this season despite not losing the games). DM faces a big rebuilding job in the summer. Mclean is offski, Christie, Ball, AOC, Stewart and Nwakali all likely to be joining him through the exit door. Logan been honking all season and now looking like needs replacing and Mckenna attracting attention with the board likely to accept a bid if it reaches 1.5/2 million.....after 5 years does McInnes have the stomach for what will be a huge task if he is to maintain the team at current performance levels far less improve on it. I'm thinking that it could be time for a change of manager, which might be in the best interests of both parties. There is no doubt that had sevco been better managed board wise then he would have been offski. Now he wasnt exactly a success at Bristol City but he wasn't an abject failure either. I'd reckon his decent record with us would make him attractive to a mid ranking Championship side and of course we would net a nice compo fee into the bargain. Jack Ross would no doubt be the obvious target to replace DM, however he is still unproven at the top level. So although he is an odious git of a human being, I'd hope we would try to get Lennon in as a replacement should McInnes decide on a change of scenery. His record against the arse cheeks this season on a fraction of their budgets is excellent and he just seems to carry an air of arrogance bout him that transfers into his teams that DM sadly lacks. Thoughts?

Game was lost in midfield though AOC was at fault at first goal too slow to come out playing the Hibs boy onside. Just shows how badly we miss Shinnie in midfield, I know his game is based on aggression but DM must find a way of getting through to him that he is getting booked far too often and a lot of the time these bookings are for quite unnecessary challenges where he has little or no chance of winning the ball. I aint looking forward to us facing the Dhims next week without him and Christie.
-
Said it before I'll say it again i have no idea what DM sees in AOC. Absolute bombscare are centre back.
-
Afraid it is true

Just been confirmed Jack Ross staying with St Boo. FWIW I think that it is the correct decision. He will be DM's replacement in 2-3 years when DM replaces McLeish as Scotland manager.....

The young lass that plays the 3rd and 4th stones for GB is getting my vote. Canada 2 defeats in first 3 games leaves it wide open

There's a thread over on the Hat where Doncomitant is asked if he is you in disguise

Its typically Scotland that after having utter shyte receiving caps for the past 20 odd years we suddenly unearth 2 genuinely world class players and both of them play the same feckin position! I honestly can't separate Tierney and Robertson as left backs, but obviously we can't play them both there. Given Tierney's greater height I think he will end up shoehorned into playing left centre back. The experiment playing him at right back, though not disastrous, certainly wasn't successful. Just hope that whoever eventually takes over the reins.......and I certainly don't believe it has to be a Scot.....bins the old guard of Martin, Hanley, Berra etc and gives the likes of Fraser, Souttar and Christie a few games to see if they can handle the step up in quality.
-
Going there will net him a hefty pay rise but realistically will it ever improve his stock and get him an even better job in future? Right now they are sitting in one of the relegation positions in the Championship with Hull, Birmingham and Bolton sitting right above them, all of whom possess far greater resources. If he kept them up this season he would be hailed in a similar way Alex Neil was when he got Norwich promoted in his first 6 months. However if he did keep them up he still faces the prospect of managing a club which in financial terms is probably still going to be in the bottom 3 comparatively against his rivals, regardless of who comes up from League 1. I doubt anyone would ever expect Barnsley to ever be serious challengers for promotion to the Premier League but their board and support would probably want to see a manager keep them comfortably mid table to be regarded as a success. But on a budget far less than 90% or more than their rivals. And if, as is a more likely scenario, they drop down to League 1 at the end of this season, the only scenario their board will tolerate is instant promotion back up. If they weren't in the top 6 of League 1 at this point next season ( and within 9-10 points of the top team) it's highly likely he would be facing the bullet and returning back north of the border with his reputation tarnished. I hope he thinks very carefully before jumping ship.

I'm only surprised that McGoo hasn't been mentioned for the job. That would make McLeish and Hughes far more credible options at a stroke.
-
No Shinnie is our biggest problem for this game. Hibs' midfield is the equal of anyone in the league bar the Dhims, not sure if Ball or Nwakali will get the nod to start but neither are anywhere as good as the guys they will come up against. I'm hoping that attack proves the best form of defence because I think we will need to score at least twice to get anything out of the game.
-
Woodman was fantastic when on loan at Kilmarnock. Agree his kicking has been very poor so far, don't think he could be blamed for either of the goals though, first one was just rank bad play from AOC and the second Logan stands off his man inviting the shot which duly came and nestled in the net. DM clearly doesn't rate Rodgers and I have no doubt he will be offski in the close season.

Even if things turn around although I hope it gets worse for them..............sevco

between 1996 and 2013 we were utter pap. Now Wiggy gets a lot of stick on here and it is mostly deserved but to his credit he realised our spending overall was unsustainable by the late 90s ( and wasnt even producing moderate success) so he chose to restructure the club onto a financially stable footing. Of course as a consequence we were absolutely shyte for well over a decade but he certainly prevented us running the risk of going the way oldco or Fartz did. I dont think under present circumstances a trophy every 3rd year is too much of an expectation. Sure Celtic have way more resources than us but they are not invincible and their central defence is poor. Sevco are improving slowly and have a massive squad but they always seem to be on the verge of a crisis with financial disaster a constant threat. Fartz and Hibs, whilst certainly improving, probably aren't at the level of winning a cup without getting a bizarrely easy draw ( as Hibs did a couple of years back)........ Killie, Motherwell and St Johnstone might win a cup every 25 years or so. Everyone else are now also rans. So yes I think it is ( under present circumstances) to now say that winning either of the cups once every 3 years is indeed a reasonable expectation
-
When you have seen us lift the league 3 times in 5 years, lift a European trophy ( 2 in fact) and win numerous cups along the way then I guess guys of my vintage were spoilt. With our finances as they are at present we should expect to win a cup every 3 years and finish no lower than 4th in the league with 2nd place a reasonable expectation at least once every 3 years assuming sevco neither go bust nor get a whacking great cash injection in the interim.
-
I certainly don't think sevco have better players than us......just a helluva lot more players to choose from on any given date, thus they can drop out of form players and cope with injuries easier than we can. The Dhims are a different kettle of fish, sadly their financial muscle shows when compared to us and as such as said before we really need to be on top form and them either having an off day or a barrowload of injuries for us to compete. The general consensus is that DM is too defensive in his approach to playing the cheeks and we need to press them high up the park ( as they do to us when we are in possession). Also the consensus is we cannot do this whilst Rooney is on the park, given that he is about as mobile as an aircraft carrier. A fit May could allow us to do this (but will he ever really be 100% fit ever again?) but if Stewart ( and to a certain extent GMS) are on the park we are still as badly off as if Rooney was playing as neither of them are really cut out to be harrying and chasing down opposition players. Cosgrove is an unknown quantity. Supposedly as physical as Stockley but a lot more mobile, hopefully he could be the answer to our problems. I've heard it said he was really signed with next season in mind but I hope we see him get 30 minutes in every match from now till season's end and a full 90 minutes at least a couple of times against St Johnstone / Dundee / Thistle / Motherwell.

He's sending you there cos he's copped a ban (sine die?) from it. Perhaps he wants you to give him a daily resume of the posts...
