They could have done that purely by getting him to sign a pre contract. Only scenario that fits for me is the one where McLean has insisted on the transfer now thus gaining us a nice fee.....yes it is a generous thing for him to do but of course he will pocket a chunk of that transfer fee as is the norm plus he still will get a signing on fee from Norwich into the bargain. As has been said also, they prob have a couple of players going out of contract who similarly to KM, have told Norwich they are leaving in the summer but at present are first team regulars who would keep KM from playing so best all round he gets a regular game with us for now.

Fartz scrape through against the cabbage in the Cup. Fairly even game played in horrible conditions so was a bit of an eyesore watching all 90 minutes. I have a feeling we will get Hearts in the upcoming draw. Dhims will get Ayr and sevco (assuming the get past Fraserburgh) will get Peterhead or Dumbarton

Quite a controversial youth player, was with Dhims as a schoolboy but left to join oldco aged 14. At 17 he rejoined Dhims and oldco were awarded compo......around £75k IIRC. I think the player closest in stature and style we have had to him in recent years is Willo Flood. I'm a bit meh about McGeouch but if McLean does go to Norwich in the next week or so there's no doubt our midfield will be short of options so I'll trust DM on this one if he gets him in.

Radio Clyde reporting Docherty deal to join der Hun is close. If true, those chunts must have the biggest selection of midfielders in Scotland to choose from. Hopefully Ryhun ends up playing week in week out for sevco reserves.

I thought he was left sided too but checked out transfermarkt and says he is right footed. Guessing that Arnie won't be getting an extension. I said earlier we could use some cash from the potential McLean sale to get him in now but didn't realise he is out of contract in summer. In view of his injury rehab, prob best just to get him in on a precontract and let Hamilton continue paying for his recovery....

The replacement for McLean is McGeouch. Hibs are desperate to get him signing a new deal. Definitely offload KM at 500k and offer Hibs 250k of that to get McGeouch in immediately. Other 250k can go on Devlin.

Talk of Lafferty being offloaded to China.....600k been mentioned as the fee.

Apparently cross border loans are treated the same as a full transfer therefore you can have as many as you can afford.....

He started on fire but his performances tailed off and in the last 2 months of his loan he was mainly used as an impact sub......but had very little impact. I really wasn't all that fussed when Norwich took him back in the January. Can't say I've seen his performances since though obviously he has been mentioned a fair bit in the press recently. I hope he has filled out in the past year, always felt that he was too slightly built to have any chance of really hitting the big time.

Was a bit meh when Tansey signed but he had done well at ICT so thought it was a worthwhile punt. He has never been close to being 100% fit with us and I think it is too early to write him off completely. 6 months at County should determine if he is back to full fitness and able to do a job for us (as a decent squad player not 1st pick) or whether we should get shot. Hopefully we have someone lined up to replace him of better quality anyway

I think they will let him come for free in the summer if we agree to take over his contract.

He will have seen us act honourably with Hayes and so could be following suit. Possibly the club has said they will give him a percentage of any fee received to sweeten the deal. If it happened I don't think it would rule sevco out but it probably would piss them off big style. My guess is he will end up in the English Championship anyway. Leeds or similar.

Agree re Christie we should offer 500k and be prepared to go up to 800k to get him in. However with his performances for us surely English Championship clubs will have taken notice who might offer 1 million plus......and offer wages double that we could realistically pay. Our only chance I feel is to act now. If we leave it to summer then I think we will have missed the boat.

He really isn't that good. Probably a solid SPL level player but given the choice between him and Hayes I'd have Hayes every time. Would be hilarious if he did his cruciate in in his debut though..
