That goes without saying

F@ck knows why the BBC website has such a time delay in the States MBT. After a howler by Joe for their goal we got back level sharpish and once we took the lead were comfortable. I still have doubts sevco can meet the release fee for McInnes (and presumably Doc too) but even if they can as I said on the other thread keeping Aberdeen 2nd best is a better outcome for his C.V. than getting sevco to 2nd and no further is.... However should the management team do decide the poisoned chalice is a project they cant turn down then we at least have 1.5 million to attract a new up and coming manager with. Deek will be offski fairly soon anyway as the West Brom job comes up fairly frequently and he must be a shoo in for it this time. Id be looking at Jack Ross as a replacement when the inevitable occurs. ( May also give us a chance of getting Lewis Morgan in at the same time )
-
God says we are looking comfortable going into injury time....FT 2-1 COYR CEltic 1 Killie 1 FT
-
I looked in first half just before they took lead and it was empty then mbt. Celtic still getting held 1-1 going into injury time. Not been much updates since we scored penalty
-
And given Celtic's resources making sevco 2nd best is Scotland is all he can realistically achieve there also. However given the resources available, sustaining Aberdeen in 2nd is a greater achievement than getting sevco there where the fans would demand they then overtake Celtic. If it didnt happen by the end of his 2nd full season there (which it wouldnt without mahoosive investment of funds) he would find himself bulleted and reputation tarnished. His ambition to manage West Brom has never been hidden. I think he will reject any sevconian offer ( I presume sevco are already aware of the release fee.....amazed they can afford this)
-
Id say they are becoming alarmingly characteristic
-
Big Fat Sam comes even more expensive than DM does  When he resigned in early summer Palace agreed to him going as long as he did not take another club job anywhere for the remaining 2 years of his contract. Not sure if it is a bonus payment for keeping them up but he is collecting 2 million over the period of the 2 years for sitting at home scratching his arse. However if he takes a club job anywhere in this period then he has to pay Palace 2 million compo..... Sevco it isn't then...
-
Sevco cannot afford the compo....
-
Adams? I'd be over the moon if sevco were to offer him the job...
-
I'd agree with that mostly, however AOC wasn't great the other night ( and that's being kind). Tansey surprised me by getting a good 25 minutes so he should be good for 60-65 at the weekend. Therefore I'd bring him in for AOC to give AOC a bit of a break. Otherwise yep Christie in, Consi to bench and good to go. COYR
-
We never even got 6 good months out of him. Absolute dud.
-
Sevco couldnt afford the release clause DM holding out for the West Brom job when it next comes up anyway
-
He wasn't pish at St Midden. And I was amazed at the time when we got him and over the moon that we did. However in the near 3 years we have had him he was good/very good for no more than 6 months or so. If he ends up at sevco i really wouldn't bat an eyelid as i don't think he would improve them much if at all. But I suspect BB is probably correct and that he will surface at a Bristol City or suchlike next August

Some of the names being bandied about on sevco meedja as suggestions for the job are pish yer punts hilarious. These arseholes still haven't grasped the severity of the newco situation cash wise and still believe pound coins flow out of the bath taps in Mordor. Big Sam seems to be the man of choice....that's the same Big Sam who is collecting 2 million over this season and next for sitting on his fat arse and who if he took another job in British football in that period would have to pay Palace 2 million instead... Billy Davies it is then ya rancid fuckwits  -
Consi to centre half alongside mckenna where he wouldnt be exposed so much to pace on the outside. Kari to midfield holding alongside AOC. Purely a pragmatic one game solution where getting out with a draw would be seen as a decent outcome. May still have got beaten anyway but as I have already said....Consi is fine at left back against most of the league and his physical presence is useful especially at attacking set pieces but against genuine pace he is a dead loss there. as proven by the Motherwell cup humping and last night.
-
McInnes was yet again out thought by Brenda. Playing Rooney was just bizarre when you need to press Celtic constantly high up the pitch. We needed 5 in midfield to do that. Admittedly not being able to use Christie didn't help but putting in Consi at left back was madness. He is good enough to be there against most teams in the league but Celtic have pace everywhere in their team and poor old Consi looks like he is running through treacle whenever he is faced by one of them running at him. The good thing is sevco also dropped points ( comically so) and it isn' inconceivable that by Saturday evening we actually could have extended our lead over sevco in the league. That has to be our focus from now on this season. Scottish Cup is also a reasonable expectation as by that point Celtic will have played well over 10 games more than us and possibly a good bit more than that if they can get a Europa cup run going....we should be fresher come season's end. Just keep expectations realistic for the time being...

Sad fact is we cannot win the league under the present circumstances. Celtic have far too good a squad and have the revenue streams from the Champions League ( and also 50000+ season tickets) to ensure that it stays that way ad infinitum. Even sevco cannot get anywhere near them despite having a budget of a least 5 times greater than ours, maybe more. As things stand we are doing well to stay above sevco in the league, that has to be our ambition for as long as possible. We should also be able to win a cup every 2 or 3 seasons or so. And I'm afraid that is it as far as our ambitions should lie under present circumstances. European football should be considered a nice wee bonus and indeed given a fortunate draw...which we actually did get this season but underperformed...we could even qualofy for the group stages now and again. However Hibs are getting stronger under Lennon and surely Fartz have to stop being a joke at some point. We are going to face a stronger challenge to be "best of the rest" fairly soon. The uncertainty of our future with the new stadium, wherever it ends up being built is also a big distraction. I fear we will lose DM fairly soon if we don't at least get a dedicated training centre built. Ultimately though, unless we can attract a dirty great sugar daddy willing to spend great wodges of cash, it will still be second place we are playing for. Cormack has 630 million or so. Get those purse strings loosened min!
-
No worse than anyone else. The whole team were just outclassed. Brenda outwitted DM tactically but tonight has sadly shown me that we are light years behind Celtic in every department. There may be a case that Joe could replace Gordon in the Celtic side ( its a toss up as far as I'm concerned) but only Shinnie and Christie of our squad of outfield players would even make their bench....

After a stramash after being awarded a penalty. Which the Killie keeper promptly saves. And then Killie go straight up the park and equalise Comedy fuckin gold from the sevco and Hunjack must be lookin at a mahoosive suspension. 4 red cards in 3 months (not sure how the one in the Morton closed doors friendly affects things) -
And a Killie equaliser so night not a total write off
-
Hunjack aff again
-
I suppose we are just suffering what the dhims suffer when they line up againt the PSGs, Bayerns, Barcelona etc
-
Playing Rooney was a bizarre choice given that to have any chance we had to dominate the midfield. However I suppose we just have to accept that Celtic have used their vast monetary advantage well. Their players just seem to be better all round athletes. Faster, more strength, more stamina. And more skilful.

Consider yourself fortunate not to be able to see MBT. It really is a a shockingly bad performance
