I don't think Jager's opinion of McGhee, good or otherwise, devalues his point. It was difficult enough working out what to expect from that squad, we're a long long way from having a decent settled team so I reckon just about anything is possible. The team last season could perform brilliantly one week and put the tools away for weeks on end. Hope that doesn't happen again but until there's a bit of consistency it's a very real possibility.

The point here being there is NOTHING else as an alternative around the stadium, which the club can use to their advantage by charging a wee bit more for a pint, and yes, I would use an ST more and attend more games than if I did't have one.

That and how much. Just making a good quality job of what is proposed will do me. No pishy stands like Hibs, good views all round (Tattie Bowl), decent boozer pre-match, it turns out remotely like projected (Tynecastle, LOL!), decent all year playing surface, training facilities, multiple use options, it doesn't look like a fucking cheap shitehole, I'll be happy.

Just saying this is a big opportunity and the stadium should be the focal point of where folk cough their dough on match day, missing this by no having places to do that ie big boozers, would be nigh on negligent.

A dozen or so pish heads on a train north isn't the point though. 4 thousand huns/tims and the home fans are the big money we should be hoping to attract, as well as getting more away fans from the other clubs. There is money there that is disappearing into the plethora of very bad boozers pre-match that could go straight to the club. All well and good, but the direct consequence of that is money NOT going to those businesses will close some of them. There is a big opportunity here.
