  1. Aye, a fucking caliper for Murdo McLeod.
  2. Man U are 600 odd million in debt and get 100?
  3. A very good player who we will miss. Couldn't give a fuck how he gets on.
  4. I'd hate to think they would accept as little as that but deep down I know it's true.
  5. And by the look of it, same quote from McGhee from a coupla days back.
  6. Oh, forgot one, Jess against United. Great first touch, sold Van Der Hoorn a dummy, he had to pay to get back in and curled a beauty into the net. Stunning goal.
  7. I'd be very surprised it that wasn't the case but I do think the KO's will be much as before. We got fucked about by Setanta too so business as usual.
  8. I remember a beauty Kane scored against der hun at Ibrox, as well as a fucking pile driver the same player scored against Partick in the League Cup. Jamie Smith against Copenhagen? Jess against der hun? Nicholas had a few, Miller against Killie last season, Mackie's against Dnipro was a genuinely excellent goal too. There was a Doug Bell goal against Watershei (I think) that was fucking sublime too. Shearer's/Gilhaus's overhead kicks, Mackie against Celtic, there's a few of them, Rab Douglas probably ma favourite, but there was a wonderful sweeping move at Parkhead that finished with a low driven early cross from Muirhead from the left (aye I know but it was good) and a sharp finish by Mackie. Gie it tae Johnny He's Clean Through's goal to win it 3-2 at Parkhead was a brilliant, though that was maybe more to do with the bounce. My own favourite? Fuck knows, I have favourites for loads of different reasons, Mackie's goal against Dnipro will be hard to top for all that went with it. Lovell's goal against Hearts, Nicholson's goal against Hearts, Seve against Hibs . . . . . Fuck it, Seve against der hun to qualify for Europe, had a lot of sentimental significance for me as well as being a fucking ripper. His goal against Hibs that season was a much better goal given the weather etc but yes, Seve against the huns.
  9. Be interesting to see who actually shows up as interested in our "valuable product". I don't expect a cavalry charge.
  10. Precisely and of those, the potential signings included, Diamond is probably the best shout. I have serious misgivings about his composure but I'd like to think, as BB said, that being captain would temper that. Unless McGhee has a centre back in mind that would carry enough authoritah to be able to step into the captain's shoes.
  11. The word on the street is pretty obvious then. Just as obvious though is the lack of genuine candidates. Can only pish wi the cock you've got. I would, much like BB, have backed Kerr but his recent record is appalling.
  12. Zander. There is no-one else.
  13. So when is McGhee's first game in charge then? 15th July?
  14. Went to Mexico myself but found a few XX to get around.
  15. It has become apparent over the last 5 or so years that there was something deeply wrong with the structure, management and direction of youth policy and development at AFC and Miller has set about changing all of that root and branch, with Lenny Taylor and Peter Weir et al being brought on board to scout and look after talent. That wasn't likely to happen overnight but I think we can see one or two propects emerging, the likes of Paton and Pawlett look fine young players as does Fraser Fyvie. It is a bit unfair to lay blame at Calderwood's door for the dearth of any talent coming through, nor for it's paucity in the first team in his tenure. It was largely crap, none of the players he let go have went on to much at all, certainly, AFC has been the peak of their career thus far.
  16. Still biding at the Bates Motel I see.
  17. Won't they just. 6 more unfortunate injuries and he's there!
  18. Nothing more than a wee trip to Bremen for me.
  19. He certainly adds some quality, dunno about very good though and yes, a sensible approach to Smith.
  20. I'm unable to sleep now. Are you satisfied? Are you? I am shaking in fear. Or is it hysterical laughter?
  21. They're toast.
  22. Yet we have had damn few good enough to make the first team regularly. Until that happens there won't be "guys like Pawlett" getting regular games.
  23. I reckon I would be bored fucking rigid as a paying spectator, better off there on a freebie or watching wi a hangover on the telly.
