  1. A manager who cannot handle the strains and stresses of his job and has an alcohol problem?
  2. Six 3 skinners a day.
  3. Nice to have a job where there is a bonus payment. Some of us just get paid for the job we do. Seve will have to take a pay cut even on better terms than offered so far.
  4. This is true, but I get the impression that more money than has been offered would still be less than his current deal.
  5. Mair is leaving though isn't he? We really have to get away from past players coming back, it's really starting to twist ma melon. Does anyone know about Stavrum's credentials as a coach? Other than having played for us, I know very little about him and Windass must have just got his coaching badges if at all. Though Deano coming back as a player for the odd cameo would be a hoot!
  6. Lost a bit of pace by now surely?
  7. Absolutely concur on both counts. Paul Kaye puts in a good performance in Pulling too.
  8. Irrespective of the rules of the board, that sort of talk should be the preserve of old firm fans and their fucking nonsensical approach to "divine right" football. I associate myself completely with the remarks of Harcus and Glasgowdon and really wonder what the fuck goes on in that mind of yours Mizer, that really is fucking pathetic.
  9. That honour belongs to Ricky Foster. I think what Dave says is fair, a kick up the arse with new management might re-ignite him, he has looked stale for some time but he has been in excellent form of late and has hardly missed a game this season. As I said, keeping good players should be what we're about, we've lost so many in recent seasons. Hart, Nicholson, Clark, Anderson, McNaughton, Heikkenen and now Smith and Severin. All good players.
  10. I'd keep him. He's a good player. But yeah, bring in someone else, bring in 2 others who aren't as good by all means.
  11. Absolutely no chance. Unless he's pissed off at not being the Lions captain I just can't see it.
  12. Where are those odds Kow?
  13. He's Gary Glitters personal trainer these days.
  14. The sun shines on a dugs arse once in it's life BB.
  15. You have no evidence for that at all stoney. No change probably meant consistent league position and qualification for Europe and writing off the cups.
  16. As I said on another thread, I have no idea. I can completely understand the board wanting change but they better be fucking certain about making the next choice another good one. One of the reasons why I don't get the clamour for JC's head. I can't think of a genuinely obvious and outstanding candidate that would want the job and do a better job of it than JC.
  17. Pretty much my feelings on the matter.
  18. Where did you copy and paste that from?
  19. The general feeling is "GTF to fuck" mixed with "Thank fuck the barcodes went doon to!" Can't believe how long Gibson supports management that clearly is not working.
  20. Possibly the quote that sums the JMG squad in it's entirety. On a par for the "Clutching At Straws Title" with the Hearts role of honour.
  21. I suspect that's what's happened. I struggled with this. I know Calderwood would deliver over a season in terms of league position, he has created some certainty and consistency over a season which no other team has had in his tenure. However, the competitions where we have a chance of success and therefore should be major parts of his seasonal targets he has monumentally cunted. Not once or twice but 3 perhaps 4 times. Losing to premier league opposition is, whilst not necessarily acceptable, is possible. Successive defeats to lower league opposition when a shot at a final is in sight is categorically not. Whilst wanting Calderwood to remain the result of that is you could be rewarding failure. In this reagrd, without saying I'm in any way happy or glad about it, the decision to part company certainly has merit and makes sense.
  22. Shared a train wi some Motherwell lads recently who were offering to pay his fare to Pittodrie.
  23. Sacked/left when the good players leave and the money dries up. Where have I heard that criticism being levelled before? If he gets the job, of course he'll get my 100% support. His managerial record isn't BAD, I just wondered why folk thought it was so GOOD. Just don't think there are very balanced views amongst sections of the Aberdeen support who, to put it bluntly, are getting right on my fucking tits.
