Just watched the highlights, fucking excellent header from the big chap. The boy is a tank, charging down a clearance by the keeper like did "rubgay stylee". He may well be, as Ajja says, just what we need right now. A problem a few of us noticed last night was the inability of the other strikers to anticipate a knock down or flick on. All of them seemed to "go with the ball". I used to be quite critical of Miller as his flick ons were fairly misdirected and such but that aspect of his game has improved a great deal, much more intelligent. However he Mackie and Maguire don't seem to have the necessary to find the space he puts the ball into. Smith may well be the man for that. Now, all we have to do is get them both fit.

I think I may have heard that too. Fucking brutal. He is not one of my all time favourites too but that sums up the general attitude at times and I find it really wearing. That same fuckers sit on their hands when it's sing song time to support the team. Plenty folk criticise the team and tactics, fair enough, I have a pop myself now and again but this negativity as a norm for some folk and the utter contempt for the team they "support" makes you wonder why they bother.

There are folk who will not change their opinion no matter what. There are folk who go every week and are happy about absolutely nothing and seem to just go for the sake of waiting for some players to make mistakes and give them a verbal shoeing and when that doesn't happen "that fat orange bastard" gets flung out one more time. I'm really starting to tire of it. There were a few bangers dotted around us last night who wasted fuck all opportunity to get fired into some players for the slightest mistake. Quire remarkable levels of energy that could probably be better used supporting a team that, for whatever reason, is having a sticky patch. That said, a fucking champions league win wouldn't satisfy some of these cunts. If supporting a team takes that much out of you that you have to start eviscerating players from the first whistle and the manager before the fucking whistle maybe it would be better for all concerned if you stayed in the house.

I'm sure other managers do the same thing. Most players accounts I have heard seem to suggest that very little is seen or heard from the touchline once the game starts. O'Neill is very animated too, can't believe all of it is even remotely instructional and directional.

Don't recall any offside flag. Maguire, as has been said was up and down but was utterly hampered in the first half as he had to come back to cover all the time at RB as Vidal and sat off his man or just plain didn't bother his arse closing him down and when Maguire had the ball up front had no cunt (ie Vidal) making any kind of run forward to overlap. He did have a decent curling shot on target on the second half but some of the other attempts were embarrassing at best but he is most definitely trying like fuck. Mulgrew's effectiveness and value offensively is beginning to be completely overshadowed by his seeming lack of awareness (and ability to bin cunts) at the back. This did improve somewhat in the second half but the goal came from his side of the park and of course from some really powder puff defending from Mair and Zander yet again with the electric reactions of a tectonic plate. I agree with Ajja about Seve, trying like fuck to do everything, really hard working but as a result, overstretched and ultimately ineffectual.

Honestly Kow, he was totally lost last night. Didn't get up the wing in support, didn't get tight to his man, was marking no cunt more often than not. He can play a bit of fitba, I get the impression he's just not busting a gut.
