  1. Are we? The last 2 seasons would suggest otherwise.
  2. Bossu was bad, but to single him out would be very wide of the mark. Zander? JC has been given fuck all like what has been needed to "replace" players. Folk always wanting Ferrari fitba on Ford money.
  3. Stick with JC forever? It may be a bitter pill to swallow but mediocrity is here to stay for some time, it's been around already for a long time, just we've had a more tolerable version of mediocrity of late. Calderwood may not bring brilliance to Pittodrie, frankly I doubt if anyone could but he has brought a tolerable form of mediocrity.
  4. Calderwood has lost one of, if not the best player at the club every season, this season he's down at least 2 of his best players from the start of last. You can't be expected to mount a challenge consistently when after 3 or four years you have to rebuild the team. If money was invested in the team there is every chance we would be far more consistent. The problem is, if we are successful, other teams will want our players, teams who can pay a shitload more and the club and Calderwood just can't compete with that. I reckon that will apply to pretty much everyone around us too so getting into 3rd and then pushing on from there is far more difficult than it would otherwise appear.
  5. Aye, Hibs or Hamilton I thought.
  6. Aye, him, Johnny "clean thru" Stewart and Lovell in a three pronged attack.
  7. Led Zeppelin - Kashmir
  8. Rolling Stones - Connection
  9. Dave_min, you'll just be dismissed as having a crusade, that's madness I tells ye, madness!
  10. Using kkk-chat as an example, the opposite is most definitely true. I at least hope that's the case.
  11. Seems pretty straightforward doesn't it?
  12. The classic example being that of John Collins who near as damn it didn't win a fucking game after he won the League Cup with Hibs but that kind of run didn't generate this kind of speculation in the press about his job. The players had to do that for them.
  13. I don't subscribe to this "if you don't read them you are ignorant". Quite the opposite in fact. That said, we have to accept that the majority will read this pish regularly and a lot of them will have their opinions affected by it.
  14. I dunno fatshaft, we've had that Sporting Life article and one earlier, ridiculously over dramatically entitled "Dead Man Walking", in the former the "journalist" is advocating Calderwood getting fired, the latter implied he was near enough away already.
  15. It does matter if he's just there to fill a jersey, much like an alarming number of Calderwood's signings. That said, they were probably all earning next to fuck all.
  16. I was led to believe that Duff had played well when in midfield.
  17. Cat Stevens? There's a couple minkers on the hill too.
  18. With the exception of Diamond he signed them, if he has a lack of alternatives or consistency at the back, he has to be pretty culpable for that. He needs a centre half. He cannot be expected to sign someone who will adequately replace Anderson, it would be daft to expect that, but expecting SOMEONE to come in or at least stick with 2 recognised, first choice centre backs is the very least that should happen.
  19. We're buying Almondvale?
  20. Spot on jager. Any journalist advocating a manager getting the dunt in this way is just a cunt.
  21. Pretty short debate nookie.
