  1. If you've got the money . . . .
  2. Q You know a few of the Dons players from your Scotland days, do you think your transfer will help your international prospects? Pretty fucking easy answer there.
  3. Aw fuck, no wonder he never came out to Altintops later.
  4. Was sober for Madrid but fuck me, was I in bad nick for the Bayern game. Made a bit of a of masel in fact! But yeah, Bobby, take your point. But back OT, without serious investment (and lets face it, that isn't going to happen unless one of the "REAL FANS" gets the 6 balls) 3rd is most likely the aim for any season. Hearts are "investing" a fortune in their playing staff and they split the OF but look how much it cost them! Aside from one of the OF having a mare (like PollyGwen when investment could have got us second) without saying it should be the end of our aspirations, it should be the target.
  5. I wanted a dvd, not for a quick tug, just so I could mind what happened!
  6. You can have all the ambition and winning mentality in the world, without the necessary to pay for the talented individuals with the necessary bollocks it is going to be a tough time. We've all known players and managers with the "mentality" but sadly lacking in the talent department, people who have both tend to go on to bigger and better things sooner or later. Despite the obvious reasons for Milne appointing Miller, I hoped he would add that bit of steel to the board and some belief to the team but that doesn't seem to be paying off certainly as far as the board are concerned. There seems to be this "acceptance" that pervades Pittodrie that whilst R_S and others assume it's a condition with the fans too, I can't believe that there are many reds who genuinely don't share high flung ambitions for their team, I fear the same cannot be said for the board, their inaction over the last couple of seasons being a perfect example. Zero back bone.
  7. I may be making myself look like I think there isn't a problem here but do you really think we were capable of remaining unbeaten against all the 4 teams that came to Pittodrie? I think it was a pretty damn good series of results against pretty decent teams. Aside from the Dnipro away game, the away ties were tough lessons for an inexperienced and small squad and probably lessons for Calderwood himself.
  8. I was thinking something similar. Endless merry-go-round.
  9. Why do you think that is?
  10. Spot on.
  11. I was hoping stoney would remind us how much fun Ebbe was!
  12. If we had been what we "achieved" this season we would probably have taken it but the manner in which we capitulated at vital times was disappointing in the extreme. Capitulation that would have been less likely had we strengthened in January or dare I say it, shown some ambition BEFORE we beat Dnipro and had a squad more suited to being in 4 tournaments.
  13. We were consistently pish. Consistency is the key.
  14. Yes I can. Honestly.
  15. Hearts or Celtic.
  16. or Milne as chairman or Miller as director of football. Bring back Ebbe, now THAT was real fun.
  17. Gowser would never have been treated like that by Hughes!!
  18. OK rocket_scientist, you pick the bones out of that one.
  19. Not because he wasn't good enough? He is a right cunt, remember him raking his studs through the pen spot after he "left" for Livi, subsequently Lovell ballooned the pen.
  20. Dunno how, padre was telling it was a Thistle player I think who did him and that the huns didnae get him off the park subsequent damage means he'll be out a lot longer. Useless medical/physio staff at the huns too!
  21. Nope. But the drinking and bonding culture is one synonymous with Rangers and tbh probably all Scottish clubs.
  22. Probably why he's no got the fucking blazer aff at Ibrox.
  23. Naismith could do a better job than Lovell or Mackie, even in his current "fucked knee out for a year" state.
  24. I'd very very very surprised if Gowser ended up in an AFC jersey, we should try and get him but this would only be try number 2, a few to go before he actually signs for us.
