  1. I said before that the flaw in the plan was us winning our games, seems it may well be the OF who fuck us up. Optimism growing dude!
  2. Well well well. Touzani with the winner, fuck me, what a great performance with so many of the "first picks" missing. I doff my cap to them all. Had that team played against QOS they would have won.
  3. Thought they were a wee bit more difficult to "achieve" than that?
  4. Your caps were for Holland, though.
  5. Puts tin hat on first. Lee Miller could be as good as any striker in the Premier League. He just steadfastly refuses to play to his capabilities often enough.
  6. Nothing to do wi red specs mate. Plenty of players have stayed at clubs paying less money for both family reasons and for reasons of job satisfaction having had shite experiences elsewhere. As you say, players are daft and agents, generally speaking aren't. That may the problem right there.
  7. You could get him mixed up wi ravioli, he's still mince.
  8. He went to Bristol to do that and look what happened. He went to United after that and look what happened. Maybe money shouldn't be the first thing on his mind. Just a thought. Maybe Nicholson should have been thinking the same thing and I suspect in a few months time there will be "family failing to settle" stories emerging as they have done with alarming frequency with Scots who have moved south to less than stellar clubs.
  9. He was bollocks at the Boro too.
  10. I'm hoping Luton was being used as a speculative example R_S!
  11. My main reason for liking Nicholson is my resignation (for a long time) that he will never be an accomplished centre mid. Him and Seve, even at their respective bests were no kind of centre partnership. Nicholson for me anyway, is far far better wide right. But yeah, no great player by any means but a good one and one we will miss from the position he's best in. I don't know if he'll make it down south, I hope he does but like you, I have my doubts. Who was the last player to go on to great things after AFC? Windass? Hignett? Anderson was the best AFC player probably of his generation and even he has not really had any real impact, in fact ending up at the same club as Chris Clark, a decent player, no more than that. Nicholson leaving is part of a general lowering of the standard, I doubt if the replacement will be as good but time will tell.
  12. When I have seen him he's drifted out of games, a thing that you can forgive of a teenager and yes, I can see precisely the potential the boy clearly has, and I know he is very very highly thought of at his parent club. That said, we should have players who are already established in the team to do all this instead of a comparatively unknown teenager coming in and being the "mainstay" of the team, who, due to his age and inexperience, can disappear from games. All that said, he isn't the kind of midfielder we currently need. We need the kind of player Scott Severin used to be, a guy with a bit of physical presence and both a calming and inspiring influence. I'd like to keep him but under no circumstances expect him to be a mainstay/regular in the team. Aside from the Munich game and his debut, I've found him somewhat hit or miss. That doesn't necessarily make him any different from any of the others in red, if anything, his age makes that more likely and more excusable. But as I said, we need something altogether different in the middle. So no, I am not fussed over whether he stays or not, he has a contribution to make but he is by no means any kind of answer to our midfield problems. We are losing a far better player in Nicholson, that's something I am far more worried about replacing.
  13. Don't masturbate standing up then.
  14. Am I the only one not really fussed over whether we keep Walker or not?
  15. It was the SPL who decided this I understand. It's just one fuck up after another, quite how the people who run the SPL can remain in charge after such a series of absolutely horrendous errors of judgement and pure boneheaded stupidity and blatant favour to the Old Firm clubs.
  16. Can we have our very own Neon Dyon? Sounds like an American motor. Wasteful, overpriced, low quality and no use at taking corners.
  17. Me too. We're gonna get pumped.
  18. He is also a very shite player.
  19. It may also be true that Calderwood doesn't feel the . . . ahem . . . need to publicise these discussions . . . yeah, sounds fucking mental but you never know.
  20. That doesn't necessarily mean that the Higher Power doesn't know, just he seems keen not to share that info wi Calderwood.
  21. To not know now is stupid mate, and it isn't necessarily Calderwood's fault. The higher power would be responsible for that.
  22. Almighty doing happening on Saturday. You heard it here first.
