  1. Aye, ma 8 iron if he doesn't sign.
  2. All of which is necessary but won't happen overnight given the overwhelming debt and seeming ignorance of successive boards to these facts.
  3. Obviously you! But I agree we have to show some sort of ambition but that can't be easy when you are in the grubber to the tune of 13 mill and have a stadium to magic out yer arse in the near future. It's all very well showing ambition but the club got truly fucked by ambitiousness and if our level of ambition doesn't match that of Calderwood, lots of luck. I would like to think that Miller would be mindful of that and know that the club were giving him all they could in the circumstances, if you don't believe that then you may as well be saying "Miller, GTF".
  4. Yes. And when they do they punt them as quick as fuck before any cunt realises the money has been spent!
  5. Compare it to the rest of the league.
  6. It used to be. I thought it was HBoS that was the biggest debt-holder. That said, it's still true afaik.
  7. On kickback, must be true. Even if he did (and if he did I would have serious misgivings about his mental health) is HE gonna be the saviour? I'd doubt it.
  8. This is one that gets trotted out every season with Calderwood, "he's taken us as far as he can" etc. We've got better pretty much every year. Kinda fucks that argument up. Keeping the squad together would be great and Calderwood as manager too but unfortunately, when our players play well and get the kind of results they have, they get noticed by folk who can pay much more than us. What the players and manager have then to do is work out for themselves what is best for them and their careers. It seems financial matters are uppermost in their minds as the only folk interested in them are not going to play European football EVER and the chances of winning medals is a distant prospect, unless you count the LDV Vans trophy as silverware of consequence.
  9. No money and a budget of 1.4 mill?
  10. As much as I have some sympathy with Calderwood's view that we need to back the team, he knew what the finances of the club were when he came. They are, if anything, worse. Get real Jimmy, the board won't give what the club can't afford and no amount of moaning or veiled threats about leaving will make Milne change his mind about opening either his wallet or purse strings.
  11. HANG YOUR HEAD IN SHAME LADY! Anyway, 11th. :rofl2:
  12. As far as I was aware they were all offered 3 year deals.
  13. So I take it you know the opinions of the majority of Dons fans?
  14. Have to say Shabba, that would get on ma tits too, what has the guy to do? He hasn't won eff all but he's done everything but. That said, if he's fucking the club around in a game of brinksmanship, then let him go. I've said it before elsewhere, good players/managers will always want to come to Aberdeen. If it's not the current ones, then by all means on your way and enjoy whatever you do next.
  15. We're 4 points worse off than last year. We're in 2 more cups than last year. Dear christ some folk really want to give themselves a fucking shake. Oh wait. JC is nae use in a staring contest.
  16. ANY of our players sign for Notts Forest/Wolves/Preston they can go and disappear into the anonymity that is the Championship. Hope you enjoyed your Euro run you bunch of cunts, now fuck off. Name me one player in recent years, who has moved on to bigger and better things after leaving AFC for more money? The best player we have had for 10 years left and (despite injury problems I grant you) is/was well out of the first team at a very very pish English Premiership club. Have a fucking think about that Calderwood/ Diamond/Nicholson/Hart. Better? Moaning faced Aberdonian cunt.
  17. Luckily this isn't an either or situation. Both totally winnable and should be.
  18. Completely agree, there is a seeming ambivolence to AFC from the Aberdeen public that seems always to have been there and is difficult to understand despite the increased competition for attention from other sources of Saturday avo entertainment. With a "one team city" and a population of Aberdeen's size you'd think a relatively successful team would attract much more than we have of late. That much is disappointing but in keeping with other exaples I guess. Middlesboro are a one team town too and thier crowds are piss poor despite having more real success than ever before over the last few years.
  19. Terry Pratchett - Making Money.
  20. Old football was very very very shit too folks. This romanticised notion that old football was better really has to be fucked now. There are just more ways for people to waste their weekends. But to suggest that over-exposure of CL and EPL games hasn't affected crowds throughout Britain really is just nonsense.
  21. LAUGH LAUGHLAUGHLAUGHLAUGHLAUGHLAUGH! Fucking great stuff. "Shaggy ; "It's my team now". Result? United 4-1 Hearts. Yes, it's all yours. Yeah, watch you guys go now!
  22. He may well become lazy. It is a pattern he has unfortunately.
  23. We had so many players out and also the weather was fucking appalling. Langfield was excellent throughout and Byrne (strangely) was solid at the back despite a couple of unbelievable moments! Miller again was excellent and I think "creative falling" was a little harsh given how downright clumsy Tokely was with his challenge, very little doubt about the validity of the penalty. We should have, with some better finishing, pumped them given how much better we were early in the game.# Derek Young was absolutely HONKING though.
  24. All sorted now RR!
