I'd tend to agree with BTR here but the problem isn't whether it happens anymore for most, it's giving a fuck either way. I'll be at more games next season, I expect, but there's plenty more I'd let get in the road of going than there ever was before and I'd doubt that will change much. The overwhelming apathy is something that will be very difficult to reverse and there will be fans lost to the club forever after these last 2 devastating seasons. Craig Brown, your destiny awaits.

Total fucking shambles of a guy, the guy who should have stepped up over the last 3 or 4 seasons but just didn't. The attitude hasn't developed, the playing standard has dropped, the ability has went backwards. It does seem as though Brown et al consider Langfield to be their no.1 and will offer him a deal. I would be surprised if we get someone of better quality for the money we are likely to be offering but if they do, brilliant but it doesn't appear to be their plan. I think it would simply be a case of change for change sake as I can't think of anyone else I would be desperate to get in instead from outside the old firm or Hearts. As someone already said there does seem to be a distinct lack of good keepers generally. Ideally a good young keeper from within AFC should be challenging for his jersey.

And if Brown/Knox/Leighton decide to keep him as no.1, as they seem to be suggesting? Whilst I would have no problem at all with him being replaced, I have more opportunity to watch the other keepers in the SPL this season than I normally would have and at worst he compares well with the majority. Incidentally, what do you think about Cerny at Hamilton? Low cost replacement? But that aside, I still don't see the keeper as a problem needing attended to aside from getting a decent bit of competition for Langfield, Howard is quite dreadful.

Thing is MBT, a good player will want good wages or a good player/prospect will most likely be on loan, it's a cunt of a situation and it shows no sign of getting better. Just need to hope some of the young fellas break through.
