  8. Havnt got mine yet but pretty relaxed about it. 10,000 sold so far, looking around 15k at the semi.? Looking forward to it,need to savour these moments. COYR
  9. Oooft. glimmer of hope, assuming they dont equalize in typical Scotland style.... Edit - FT 1 - 0 Scotland
  10. What a w/e. Cracking day on the Skye Cuillin yesterday, and a balmy 17oC on the Speyside way today Spey at Grantown Rum from the Skye Cuillin
  11. Kinda glad theres nae proper fitba this w/e,forecast looking top drawer.Bit of the Speyside way Saturday, and over to Skye afterwards for some Cuillin on Sunday. Enjoy it while it lasts
  12. Most of the bigger Speyside ones are well done.https://www.discovering-distilleries.com/cardhu/tours/ http://www.glenfarclas.co.uk/en/pages/122,Five-Decades-Tour-Tasting.html On the same topic,we had a tour round a tiny new distillery in Uig,Lewis last year.A family operation at a great wee place thats been cobbled together with cast offs from other distilleries. http://www.abhainndearg.co.uk/
  13. Ooocha. The leprosys a bit off putting.
  14. The landscapes changed/changing though.Mentioned further back that since 2003,around 55,000 migrants have moved to the city,of which 60% have settled on the east side of the city ie Seaton,Froghall,Torry etc, with more of the locals moving to the suburbs
  15. Spangles is an apt description ....may eventually get a trip to tannadice. Depends how the cup draws go....
  16. It was a slick operation - cutting edge fashion, low booze prices and top patter with the ladies at nightclubs later. We certainly werent in those joints for the talent, only the cheap booze to avoid club prices later on Final mention to the Woodend bar,Dyce.Went in by for a pint regularly(late eighties) when my mate Angus was working behind the bar.Good old fashioned bar, still on the go I believe
  17. Is the Portland bar/club still open? Mind my pal inviting us in town for a night out and suggested we go to the Portland beforehand for a few swifties.I turned up thinking it was a trendy joint, in the dress of the time(mid eighties) ,jeans tucked into ankle boots,"casual" jumper tucked into jeans, hair nicely positioned with hairspray. Oooft, what a joint, some right psychos in there.Cheap booze, and the very basic tables and chairs,a hardened drinkers den, felt a bit of a fag and left sharpish. Another few I mind being in was the TGWU club just off George st somewhere, and the Civil service club just off crown st.Watched a couple of bands in a fine wee bar in the Imperial hotel,Exchange st
  18. Just back - Very impressive from us at times today, wasnt overly optimistic beforehand.Good attitude and energy, with some clever play around the box,esp first half.Great first goal....loved Logans extended celebrations ,should have had a few more Was surprised at how limp Hearts were. Top Dons for me were MacLean,Shinnie and Hayes.O'Connor and McGinn did well too. There were complaints about us playing with the handbrake on last season, but I think thats an area McInnes has noticed and improved this year energywise.Suits us too. Final shout out too for the hawk at the South Stand.Well played Crowd 12,173
  19. Picked up some bottles of Seven Giraffes on the way home.Doesnt taste great, but its buckled the head up nicely.Work the morn, need to ease off a bit
  20. Aye min,but we were coming off the train before the home games(from up north late seventies, early eighties) Mid to late eighties, the Belmont at Saturday lunchtime til tea time.Quick snooze, wake up feeling like shite, then back to the Belmont,Hayloft/Clarkies,Buzz Beez, then later,Ritzy or Gabriels All long gone
  21. ELO - Dont get me down
  22. Heres a few that we frequented but no longer exist. Coming off the train for the fitba, our first port of call was either Aitchies, over the road on Guild St,or the Scotch corner nearby. We were underage at the time, and looked it,but they were never too busy, and were happy with the custom.Another was the Clansman,up the Adelhpi.Think it was only the once.We had "lunch" there and the best they could do was a minging mince pie, chips and beans.Didna go back in a hurry The Drift Inn was also a very regular haunt.Normally a bit of a dive, but on a Saturday afternoon it was often stowed out when they held the blues jams,as did Oh Henrys,c/w with Jerry Jablonski ably and beautifully supported by Kim the dancer who came on during the breaks .My mate was the drummer at The Drift Inn and (being an ex drummer myself) often got invited up for a thrash. The Venue - A bit of a dive in reality, but saw some great bands there in the 80s,same as Dobbies Ale House. Some cracking bands and drunken nights in both places Heaps more coming to mind but that will do for now
  23. It winna start the engine unless its programmed(a scam IMO),but youre right,it doesnt need to include remote locking
  24. Ooocha another game I forgot was early ko.cheers manc. In Furryboots SS X Pre/post Driving Prediction not over optimistic 1 _ 1 Crowd 11657
