Another angle - I was as excited about Goodwins appointment as I was about McInnes,ie not very,....but prepared to give both a chance. As far as early bounce goes,Mcinnes came in at a similar time of season to Goodwin.Won 2,drew 4 and lost 1 at the end of season '13/14.Hardly set the heather on fire, but far exceeded my expectations the next and following 3 seasons. Goodwins got a tougher job like, but lets be reasonable..
-
Without looking, how many of those new manager bounce guys fizzle out the following season or 2? Assuming the current squad were 'bouncy' in the first place. Whatever our opinions,Goodwin needs a longer grace period than he appears to be getting
-
Havent been on the Munros for about a year due to a health issue.Hope to be back on them in the next year All the ones left to do are on the West coast. We go with the flow,ie follow the weather
-
Heres what Goodwin said re new players - " Goodwin said: “I have been brought in here to make some difficult decisions. “I asked for that bit of autonomy when I took the job as manager. I want to be allowed to make those decisions. “Only time will tell whether they are the right ones, but we have identified some very good players. “We are talking to a lot of good players at the moment, to try and strengthen the squad for next season.

Despite the apparent howlers, were in 10th place with the 4th best defensive record. Does that not suggest our most urgent problems lie further up the park. Assuming were not going to get anywhere near a complete squad soon,I would focus on that area this time round 1) because its more likely to rekindle dwindling interest among fans. 2) A bit more firepower might take the pressure off the defence, and shut up our supports winging elements' over dwelling on every mistake

As premature a conclusion as ur Jack McKenzie one min
-
Are we writing off McKenzie after 5 mins of first team fitba?
-
Aye Saturday was rubbish, but when youre using a squad much of whom are on their way out/dont want to be here or are barely mediocre anyway.... Goodwin saying we are in for some "very, very good players " this coming window.Nae sure what standards he's judging them by,but he needs to be allowed the time to do his thing, make an arse of it or whatever
-
Nothing to add to the fitba thread.Done a few more sections of the coastal route.Newtonhill to Muchalls was a bit dour.Muchalls to Stoney was brilliant.Lots of twists, turns and surprises on the way. Also did a section from Catterline to Crawton.Involved a lot of walking on the edge of newly seeded fields. Its possible to walk the outside of the field fences but its a bit rough, pathless and often exposed.Good walk though.Saw a pod of Pilot whales Muchalls beach near the railway bridge Waterfall at crawton

In - Mainer Pre - work Post - nae sure Prediction - Tough one,2 draws so far v County in the league. If Watkins starts Ill say 2 - 1 Dons. Besuijen,Ferguson
-
.....But still only 4 points off of 4th,with the 3rd best defensive record How shite are the rest of the league? Be as well giving the defence til the end of the season to see if it can sort itself out.People had written off Gallacher a few weeks ago,but he seems to be improving. Never actually saw the game, only had updates.Did we look a bit better going forward this week?
-
He seems to see something in MacLennan who TBF had a reasonable game v Hibs.time will tell if Goodwin can get into his head Not sure how fired up McGhee will have them.Any will do COYR
-
Dens ticket frenzy in Dons quest for not as bad as the rest glory. Would have headed down too,but away this weekend. Dees 1 Dons 3 Ramirez hat trick
-
^^Like it.. Easy listening with Aoife O'Donovan, new album
-
He's looked a wee bit frustrated the last couple of months IMO.Barely touched the ball some games.Hoping Goodwin can work out how he operates best before he decides what to do
-
Just back - Wasnt the prettiest game but a welcome 3 points and results going mostly our way.Should take the pressure off a bit and we can play more adventurously from now. Barron was very good, and Fergie.Even McLennan was more effective than usual, albeit from a low base. Watkins coming back will make a difference, thought we were a bit poor movement wise up front. Good to get the win though
-
It was McInnes first season.Think Diamond was away by then
-
Sorted again Re that 4 - 4 game, closest Ive got was up at ICT. 4 - 0 ahead at the break ....Finished 4 - 3 And the 4 - 4 v Celtic at home in the McGhee era
-
^^Cheers min In Mainer Pre - Gardening Post - Food n drink somewhere Prediction - Curious to see if any noticeable Goodwin/post Brown effect.I'll go for the usually overoptimistic Dons win. 3 - 1 Ramirez x2 Barron 40 yard thunderbolt
-
He's a twat, but i enjoyed having his arrogance/presence in the line up.Well miss having a strong character IMO,rest of the sides a bit quiet. Might help if someone's available soon we can use his wages on
-
Have a scroll down this page and see if any of them are suitable. Some of them may be defunkt though https://www.afc.co.uk/club/fans/supporters-info/

Aye,meant to start there but got off a bit late. Will head fae Downies next time,up the way to Findon as far as you can til the Quarries get in the way. Best time of the year to be doing it too ,since you can wander thru stubble and livestock-less fields if the cliff tops are a bit wet/windy. Intending doing most of the N/E coast(done about 1/3) starting fae Johnshaven round to about Findhorn
-
Thought they were looking to have Watkins back around the split last I heard. Brown missing from the line up on Saturday apparently not because of a fall out,but to not risk his hamstring.....https://www.footballscotland.co.uk/spfl/scottish-premiership/scott-brown-aberdeen-absence-explained-23302626

Great coastal walk today from Downies to Newtonhill.Possible to walk all the way to Stonehaven butt theres a few obstacles if you take the wrong turn. This guy gives a good description of how to do it. https://britishcoast.wordpress.com/2020/03/11/281-aberdeen-to-stonehaven/ Downies Newtonhill beach
