  5. ^^Thats the stuff Oot Stream at hame Rampant reds to run riot* 5 - 1 Dons Hayes x 3,Duncan x 2. *or possibly the fans otherwise
  6. If there's nobody available or worth employing at the time then an interim manager is handy til there is. An opportunity for Robson to maybe surprise us meantime??
  7. The romance of the Cup,back on the merrygoround we go
  8. Just before my time. Wish I'd caught some of those 60s/early 70s City sides in the Scottish cup Early 60s City were leading Celtic 1 - 0 at home with 6mins to go. A defensive slip from an old relative of mine helped them back into it to win 2 - 1 Hence the uncomfort about tonights game....
  9. Imagine having to play in +8oC,
  10. Envisage an ugly 2 - 1 win,as long as we get thru,...and then source a good defender or 2
  11. McInnes record wasnt that much greater than Goodwins was it? There was a fair amount of 'meh' at his appt.He already had the bones of a good side, and found(initially) players that fitted in well.Personally think he was quite lucky with initial recruitment, as we never quite managed to source players that fitted in as well as Flood and Robson.,despite finding a high level of players. Don't think McInnes was much more of a tactical genius than Goodwin either. His strengths were attracting a good standard of player, within a good club atmosphere, which along with modest tactical knowledge was more often than not, enough to keep us ticking along nicely. Goodwins had tougher circumstances. But,the recruitments arguably better. Were about 2/3 of the way there squad wise, but the areas that he didn't(maybe wasn't able to) address are why its gone to pot frequently this season. So should we turn a blind eye to it for now, give him more breathing space.or start with someone else again?? PS.I don't know
  12. If we cant get a hud of Stuart Baxter ,I'd say keep going with Goodwin I was underwhelmed by his appt like a lot of people. Ideally he could have probably spent another year or 2 at St mirren to bolster his CV before coming to us.But,...youd have to imagine he's learning a huge amount in the time he has been here,to the extent where,if we assume he's growing as a manager(mistakes and all),he might be approaching a point where he's actually becoming a good manager? He comes across as intelligent enough to become one at least... The downside is,he's always had his haters, and after recent results the addition of newer ones, ....enough now that he may be close to tipping point. Needs a lot of luck the next few games
  13. Must be due our once every 5 years or so win.Depends how many of our crocks are available. In the unlikely event we can source a replacement defender, and Duks available... Oot Watching a stream Hearts 1 - Dons 3 Clarkson,Duk x2
  14. Which we didnt do. 1 - 1. Hoof up the arse if ever needed
  15. Well,well,well.....Bojo 1 - 0
  16. Not overly pessimistic about this one though I'll rate our chances around 35%.We'll cause them problems if we want to. COYR
  17. Level 42 came out with some very good tunes, but produced a fair amount of tripe too. Good musicians though. Mark King was an excellent drummer as well as brilliant bassist. Curious to hear what you and Phil Gould produce (as a retired drummer)
  18. Rocket went to the Hat and got banned. You been hiding under Garlogie rock during Covid?
  19. Another defender incoming then,...surely?
  20. Not overly fussed.I like him,but were only getting a good game in around 3.Game on Sunday might suit him though, hope he hangs around for that
  21. Came across this wee clip of festive fixtures from 1950 which caught the eye.Note the size of the crowds, and Hibs v Hearts > Celtic v Rangers,ie 65'000 v 60'000. All the other ones pretty amazing, pre Old firm glory hunter
  22. Aye was up about 5 years ago on a sweaty summer day.Bit of a trek in,but cracking views Sisters loon leading the way,Slioch on the right On the way up Summit views
  23. Definietly more optimistic, but I think were maybe game or 2 soon into a post Shinnie stride. Who knows though,we werent far away against them a few weeks ago. COYR
  24. Decent weather window over New Year on Lismore.Mentioned before, fine wee place for walking/cycling,history.Only 150 residents.Nae pub but summer cafe sells drink Looking East to the mainland over Loch Linnhe Walk thru rock on Appin circuit
  25. Every chance the same side plus AN other might have lost that game without him. In contention for MoM alongside Duk and McRorie.Typical industrious performance, though just managed to avoid a yellow card IMO
