Black lives matter may have started with good intentions, but have become a toxic organisation.Nobody can argue the policeman should be tried for murder, and the other officers for choosing to do nothing. But the stats on police killings show a different picture to the one that Groups like BLM and SJWs would like to portray

Wish I could help, but you sound pretty advanced compared to me : ~ < Cant even get emojis to work properly

Agree with the above. If some club with 200 fans runs their affairs well enough to be solvent, and gain promotion then they deserve to be there,(though I'd rather be doing battle againsts club similar size to ourselves like),but generally speaking, tough tits if you canna run your affairs properly, fairs fair at both ends of the spectrum In the SPL case the power has shifted so far in the Duopoly favour,I would rather some sort of amnesty between the clubs in the top league and restructure/level the playing field,if not tell the OF to do one(preferred). We hold the aces if we'd just show some balls,(or self belief).I don't understand why weve accepted our fate without a fight for so long

Well, the ugly dweeb should be arrested for looks alone, but tbh can we nae get away fae the constant finger pointing and discuss what our next options are.Weve a shite generation of politicians,we get it Theres talk of a potential vaccine by September, but we cant pin our hopes on that since no vaccine has been found for any of the other Coronaviruses,eg Sars,Mers etc(just to cheer you up),and with talk of a second wave in Autumn - is another lockdown an option?,Others are saying the virus may have already peaked,we still don't really know the right thing to do,so where's the cut off point where the damage to the economy and normal life does more harm than the virus itself? Eg cancer/heart patients delayed treatments causing premature death,or the knock on effect in the third world causing starvation because our,and their Western reliant economies are in depression. If all weve done is kept the virus at bay,and with scientific opinion being so fragmented, confronting and learning quickly how to live with it seems the less dangerous option to living in fear, if we can protect the vulnerable better than we have done, and develop smart systems of work.Whatever Boris and co decide to do, as much will depend how the public and businesses think on the hoof once restrictions ease?

Aberdeen 4 - Rangers 1 - Scottish Cup Final,1982 What a day.Only my second cup final at Hampden, but this was the first Scottish cup final, and remains the favourite of all finals. Was working on a farm at the time and meant to be on duty that weekend to feed the 'baists',but no way was I missing this and was up at 6am to give them a double feed to keep them going til I got back, then headed along the road to join the Inverness reds to Glasgow. A great comeback after losing an early goal, though even at 3 -1 up in extra time, there was still a doubt that we wernt going to be allowed to win a Cup in Glsagow against the Hun,...…………….but up steppedl Neale to do his famous smash into the net..What a bounce.,what a journey home Didn't get back to the farm til midnight to feed the coos, but noticed theyd been already fed,and got a bollicking in the morning because theyd been roaring their heads off since late afternoon Happy days

Preferred last seasons home, but not the worst IMO. Would using a bold enough colour,eg red,for the sponsor ad not have been enough to avoid the white band across the middle? Looks a wee bit cobbled together

If there are no clear winners in the reconstruction argument,I think what weve got isn't far off as good as we can do,if we want to avoid confusing things again. Can see the argument for a bigger league, but anything over 16 would probably end up in the same problem we had in the 70s,too many meaningless games, maybe that's me being selfish and not in a hurry to watch Dons v Ayr.The counter argument to that was a bigger league was beneficial for the National team because more clubs weren't frightened to blood their own players due to the lack of threat of relegation. Getting the power away from the Deadly duo would be a better focus

Mind being at the '82 Cup final thinking Ive seen the treble in my lifetime, this'll do me the rest of my days,..... But it was only the beginning.Happy Goteborg day,as is possible

Two interesting perspectives on Corona. While lock down was needed initially, looks like were trying to over control it,when we maybe need to let the virus run its course if we can protect the vulnerable better than we have https://unherd.com/thepost/german-virologist-finds-covid-fatality-rate-of-0-24-0-36/ https://unherd.com/thepost/nobel-prize-winning-scientist-the-covid-19-epidemic-was-never-exponential/

Managed to break my ankle on the last day before lockdown,so,as far as recuperation goes, couldnt have picked a better time I suppose. Now that I'm more mobile, luckily been great weather for outside painting fences/sheds and planting veg etc.Would have been up the wall by now otherwise. Personally dont envy the politicians dealing with something as unprecedented, situations and knowledge of the virus changing all the time, and deciding whats for the best after lockdown?? Hitchens might not be far off the mark https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4QqKEvN-6F0k

We'd been trying to get out to the hills since New Year,(normally were out once a month),but every weekend seemed to either be too windy,or rainy. Finally, the last week before lockdown we had a great spell of good weather, with a good covering of snow for those who like winter conditions. Pics from hills near Dalmally DSC01083 (2) by [/url], on Flickr DSC01110 by , on Flickr DSC01155 (2) by , on Flickr DSC01157 by , on Flickr Would have been out a lot more since,as the weather has continued to be pretty good. Some local walks for N/E residents stuck in the hoose if cabin fever setting in https://www.mapmywalk.com/gb/aberdeen-sct/ https://www.walkhighlands.co.uk/aberdeenshire/stonehaven.shtml Weve just started walking the first section of the Walk highlands - Johnshaven to Stonehaven route which we didnt realise was all walkable. Easy walking so far,pic shows a section from Johnshaven coming upto Gourdon.Gets more cliffy and craggy as you go on,with lots of birdlife, including the puffins which are due to be arriving at Crawton which is en route.Takes you past Dunnottar also DSC01075 by , on Flickr

Forgot about them, great band, great guitarist. Was playing in a covers band many moons ago circa '90,and being more rock minded, thought we'd try that song on the trendy crowd at Cafe Ici one evening. Never seen a place empty so quick .......so back to the Happy Mondays/Charlatans it was,who we all hated but it got the crowd going....
-
If you ignore the guitarist being a twat,Joe Cocker- great song, great solo Always liked this one by Alex Lifeson of Rush, nearer the end of the clip
-
KFP,theres a few strains of blues, from the old Black guys like Howlin Wolf,Muddy Waters,John Lee Hooker,BB King to guitar based ones which I prefer like Stevie Ray Vaughan Robert Cray is bluesy with good lyrics Never been into folk that much but Aoife ODonovan is a modern day acoustic/folk singer I can listen to

Thoughts on this? https://off-guardian.org/2020/03/24/12-experts-questioning-the-coronavirus-panic/?__cf_chl_jschl_tk__=4725dcc4b8208dd39c3832912322c5754d8905f0-1585233996-0-AXgnp9BA0sR2N1_lYNVo4MXLhR2XgOXfCcvhK25DVPJYtju8EUekWMGsfpaOxRgDaddO3rff9M2QzGO3fVgOB0I0_UudL8qZ0vhiVsWD3KddBCcpBJM02BiEYbYPMi-DRsx-nE5ckqQf8DRrJqTMNUwzWawbun873pHYqs0Y8Fp5eWPf7XC4OhGrgD3MDVos7YvGzLBc4D3Nj4SD4hRUg6ODXCLmUKnkTdxtaUlyGrK9TpqQOrapW6iaS85dgNw6RVI8EODzW7yICLtqz2SvtP6EdxjNoZxiP2CrycIzljVAKEk6jVNNdROMPnb0JTEao7308bSLckLpbQkKhIIEpx00-STjkej2ZkfiQmhZhKoe …..and a good listen on the Joe Rogan show if you've time

I am pressure washing all my fencing, sheds and decking, and then treating all with a couple of coats.shed roof to repair and fence.plus DIY around house. Probably only keep me going a week like.Plenty hills to do.looking at volunteering for the NHS somehow depending how strained it gets up here.
-
Surprising how casual some folks are being.Assistant at b and q yesterday coughing all over the joint without covering her mouth. It's quiet at the NHS up here because there are only 18 confirmed cases in Grampian (down from 24 strangely),though expect that to grow as we reach a peak. Edit there's a webpage called worldometer Corona virus for latest stats around the world, and a map for affected regions in the uk in the Guardian website Currently self isolating in the Glen Orchy hills

While the politicians fanny about,as much of this will depend on our own decisions and common sense. Some better news below ; ? China has closed down its last coronavirus hospital. Not enough new cases to support them. ? Doctors in India have been successful in treating Coronavirus. Combination of drugs used: Lopinavir, Retonovir, Oseltamivir along with Chlorphenamine. They are going to suggest same medicine, globally. ? Researchers of the Erasmus Medical Center claim to have found an antibody against coronavirus. ? A 103-year-old Chinese grandmother has made a full recovery from COVID-19 after being treated for 6 days in Wuhan, China. ? Apple reopens all 42 china stores. ? Cleveland Clinic developed a COVID-19 test that gives results in hours, not days. ? Good news from South Korea, where the number of new cases is declining. ? Italy is hit hard, experts say, only because they have the oldest population in Europe. ? Scientists in Israel likely to announce the development of a coronavirus vaccine. ? 3 Maryland coronavirus patients fully recovered; able to return to everyday life. ? A network of Canadian scientists are making excellent progress in Covid-19 research. ? A San Diego biotech company is developing a Covid-19 vaccine in collaboration with Duke University and National University of Singapore. ? Tulsa County's first positive COVID-19 case has recovered. This individual has had two negative tests, which is the indicator of recovery. ? All 7 patients who were getting treated for at Safdarjung hospital in New Delhi have recovered. ? Plasma from newly recovered patients from Covid -19 can treat others infected by Covid-19.

Fair do's min, wasnt aware of all that.I do think a capacity of circa 18'000 suits us looking at our crowd averages down the years.Hearts crowds may have built up as a result of their initial crowd restriction.Folks therefore getting caught up in a ticket clamour > getting into the habit of going regular >and therefore able to increase capacity at a later date? Another reason for liking the 18'000 capacity is weve often had crowds teetering on the 10k mark over the years,...aye,actually in the stadium.I would rather be in a stadium that seemed to be more than half full than less, and therefore wouldnt increase even if it was possible
-
A bit early to assume theyre trying to convince us of a smaller capacity at Kingsford.Have we not been closing the upper RDS since before any Kingsford height issue? May be as simple as reducing costs/increasing atmosphere
-
Trump,Sanders or Biden. What an array of choices.I assumed Biden was just a bit old and doddery for the presidency but wasnt aware of his creepier side...

Andy Considine - He's One of Our Own
Elgindon replied to Chris Frae Killie's topic in Aberdeen Football Club
His name doesnt work too well with the song?,...or the fact he's quietly effective, and the song suits someone more prominent?. I heard a new one in his honour for the first time on Saturday, but cant remember how it goes. Deserves the praise as you say though
