  1. Going well, been good in posession.McGrath the standout so far for me.Palaversa and Nilsen in good form
  2. ^^Try here http://www.fawanews.com/
  3. Might explain his laid back approach to fitba...
  4. Finished City 1 - Spartans 1
  5. No but heading up to Peterhead for the clash of the Div 2 titans in a few weeks. Currently 0 - 0 at H/T at Borough Briggs Ps did you catch any of the great City sides and cup runs in the early 70's when you were in the area?
  6. Over thinking about Panda recently? ......It was dons8321 re big lad/fast lad
  7. There's a few at the Union st end of King st,ie Archibald Simpsons,Kings bar,Red Lion on Spittal,Bobbin(usually mobbed). Failing that, plenty buses fae Union st pubs to Pittodrie
  8. Speaking of highlights
  9. Left to catch the train at 2 - 0. Heard theyd got a goal back on King st,then thought I overheard it was a draw on the train.Nice surprise to hear of the win. Thought we were pretty good for most of the game, with a big thanks to the surprisingly good Pape.Mentioned last time he had the ability of looking dangerous to Clydesdale-esque within a short space, but today had to rub my eyes a couple of times(did I just see that??). Looked by far the most dangerous of all the strikers even without the goals. Midfield were good, but would have benefitted more from Shinnie in there, though Palaversa had a solid debut.Topi's not managing to impose himself yet in games, but hopefully just an adjustment issue.Got glimpses of what he can do Defence were ok,though I thought Rubi and Molloy could have stood off there men a bit more at times,a bit over enthusuiastic, and Rubi still a bit rash. Good win, deserved the 3 points despite Well being decent in attack at times.
  10. Might be a better idea to introduce Duk in an away game if he's to feature at all.Interesting to see the reaction he gets. Tough game v 'Well. If Clarkson isnt ready, might be an idea to play Sokler behind/with Nisbet, see if it benefits/brings on Sokler.Bring on Gueye if not,and lump a few balls into the box if struggling.Looks likely to sell out,but think theyre opening section R if ness. In hopefully Furryboots - Y Prediction 2 - 1 Dons Nisbet, Y Ah U Gueye
  11. Unless Pandas point was more that we dodged a £1m-ish bullet
  12. If he screws the nut,...only after whatever punishment a regular player would normally get,eg docked pay for length of absence, plus fine or whatever? ie no favouritism Unless he finds form early on,theres always going to be the doubt he doesnt want to be here, bad apple etc. But,...a slim chance he may propel his/our season, then who knows...
  13. Break doing us a bit of favour. No word on McGrath, but Clarkson potentially available for Motherwell at home in 2 weeks
  14. ...and then Orlanda was happy for the rest of the day, safe in the knowledge there would always be a bit of his heart devoted to the transfer window
  15. love a trip to County but wont manage this one.Would keep Sokler in for this, due to County being potentially vulnerable and a goal or 2 hopefully kick starting his season.A Nisbet/Sokler combo sounds appealing, but hard to not include Pape after last weekend Oot Hame Prediction 1 - 4 Dons Gueye,McGrath,Sokler,Nisbet
  16. did I hear right, they got a £3m investment from somewhere? If not, what have they done to sort themselves out. They were looking a bit basket case-ish a couple of months ago
  17. Ringos up there with Charlie Watts * In the drummer dross category
  18. Random thought I had today when Clarkson comes back.In certain games, replacing Sokler or Gueye with McGrath possibly a better option? Tidier, quicker, better use of the ball in tight situations, good eye for goal...?
  19. A belter of a tune, which I played to death( as a budding drummer) on the old Sony Walkman, trying to emulate(failed) John Bonhams bass drum triplets. What a drummer though...
  20. Thought we were only at 70% today,if that. Without Shinnies drive and eye for a pass, along with Nilsen, think we may have struggled to break Killie down.Didnt help that number of players had quieter than desired performances, and while were still experimenting a bit with players, a 2 nil win v stuffy Killie isnt to be sniffed at. Shinnie,Nilsen and Ruby the better players today.Gueye, goals aside, may be better left sniffing around the box, outside the box he was pretty clumsy.Still hoping Sokler comes good,a goal would help Ps the crowd today given as 16'100.Looked about right in the ground, but there were only 700 tickets left at K/O. Have we changed how we calculate it this season? ie folks in the ground rather than STs and tickets sales?
  21. A good butterys hard to find these days but those^^ are nae bad..
  22. Looks like a similar crowd to the St Mirren game,so rural Dons best leave early, fair amount of pain in the hoop roadworks/diversions around town. https://tellmescotland.gov.uk/tellmescot/pages/notices?mode=postcode&pCode=AB15 4ZX
