1. Sad to hear.Often the voice of reason on Abmad
2. Looking forward tothe end of the season tbh,but we should probably be making the effort to push the boys over the line, whatever we think of McInnes and the performances In or Oot - In Furryboots - Mainer Pre - Driving Post - En route to Torridon Prediction - Hate playing this shower, probably a draw. 1 -1 GMS
3. We seem to keep picking up these kinds of wins.Hard to believe we could be on course for a similarish points total as the previous 4 or 5 years,ie early to mid 70s despite the dour performances. Huns - Hearts 0-0 HT
4. 2, Shay. Inspired line up and no mistake
5. Having a fine day outside working in the garden.Come in to see Reynolds,Ball and OConnor are all in the line up .....Think I'll head back outside
6. If you mean Robertsons of Stoney,i think they closed down a few years ago....
7. Quine at the veggie place said normal rowies were made with pork fat hence the swap to veggie. No idea if that's right or not
8. Sake min....
9. Back in the day,Aitkens may have been up there, but I would guess bad management the last 10,15 years,or the owners knowing they were going to retire, has seen most of their shops(Aitkens) look a bit tatty these days.I see JG Ross has a big new shop across the road in Torry,so wouldna think it was a lack of potential trade Got round to trying a couple of their rowies today and was a bit underwhelmed tbh.Mediocre. Been trying various other rowies around town with the morning coffee. The wifie at the sandwich shop on esslemont Av was up their with the best,....but now her daughter(quite tidy),has taken over the shop, and replaced them with veggie rowies . Was in Herds the butchers the other day,and asked them who made their rowies, and was surprised to find they make their own .....but I would suggest they maybe stick to butchering Rowie results are in as follows, starting in last place - J G Ross - Just looked, didna bother buying...shite Herds - Bland, floury Chalmers - Better, but mediocre Aitkens - Average Thains - Good But the winner is..... Bruce of the Broch .Bit of a dark horse, but good generous, flaky rowie.Boy at the Grove(top loon) in Union Grove had them. He'll be using them permanently when Aitkens packs in
10. Dons daft, check your post count,....stop posting All the best with that Malaga min
11. He looked competent alongside McKenna recently at CH,but he's burned his bridges now,so he can clear off. .....Derek currently taking in the Finchley on the Minge game for a potential replacement
12. Disappointing effort as far as rhyming goes.Have a dairylea
13. We went up to Kintail last w/e to stay in a bothy(Camban) overnight and bag a few hills the next day.Got up onto the first ridge and realised the snow was a bit more avalanche-ish than anticipated and decided not to risk it. Thought I'd post some details up,as its well worth a trip to the bothy alone, with some of Scotlands finest mountains flanking the route,a triple waterfall(Allt Ghranda) on the way,and ending up in a remote glen with access to some great hills,if you can be arsed. Park at the Kintail outdoor centre,Morvich, near the caravan park, and follow the track up the rhs of the River Chroe..Its just a case of following this track all the way past the Allt Ghranda, and on to Camban. Total distance around 10 miles to Camban from Morvich.Total ascent appx 350m.Took us appx 3hrs with full gear and a shared 10kg bag of coal. Camban bothy IMG_4108 (2) by , on Flickr Inside IMG_4097 by , on Flickr No electric,no water(stream nearby),no toilet.2 rooms with 4 bunks, and fire in each room(no fuel) Top tips - Get there before 4.We got there at 3 and thought we had the place to ourselves.By sunset it was a full house,(holiday w/e). Go in summer,no fuel to carry
14. Aye,decent line up with what weve got.Think a Stewart /Christie swap could work,as could a Stewart/McGinn swap. Maybe better we had that limp effort at Hearts, and hope it was just a(nother) bad day.Got to be up for this.COYR
15. Ach nae my kind of manager, but a likeable enough chap.Think he was manager at Hamilton when he gave the Souness Huns a couple of embarassing defeats. Chain smoked or inhaled cigars hence the rauch voice?.May be what finished him off.
16. Always seemed a decent chap when he spoke, and probably wasnt aware of the more sinister side of the Hun relationship with Unionism at that time
17. Another was the wee Gordons bakery opp the DSS on Dee St last year, and Kelly of Cults had a fine bakery section. Was there a Strathdee bakery somewhere, and are Chalmers still on the go? *Haha - just seen the new jam/dairylea/rowie changes in place of the the Simmie/Durrants.
18. Top photos look a bit parched post summer, but some similarities to Scotland in a couple of pics.Bottom pics are more what i remember the Nelson/Motueka/Marlborough area, South Island looked like A couple of guys dropped out of hillwalking this last w/e,so my Sisters loon offered to come along to A Ghlas Bheinn instead. Started off quite promising.... IMG_4055 by , on Flickr Got very near the top but the snow started coming in,and he didnt look too comfortable.Hung around for half an hour to see if it would clear, but decided to head back because it would get dark soon. Forlorn looking nephew IMG_4071 by , on Flickr 5 mins later the skies cleared and we realised we'd only been about 100m from the summit
19. Noticed some butteries(ok,rowies then) in Herds the butchers of all places.Asked them where they got them, they said they make their own . Admiring their British entrepreneurial spirit,I splashed out on a couple,........ but have to say they were no more than average at best . Next stop is the much fabled Aitken rowie.
20. A good 3 points. Coming into a bit of form at a good time COYR
21. Nice one Kenny
22. Sound well on top at pres.Stewart playing well...
23. "Cutting edge fashion? " ....as opposed to renewing your Wrangler Jean/Jacket combo fae Mr Beaujangles etc Mind the Black Dog and when it was Cammies.Pool thru the back and a band in the lounge at the w/e.Me and another guy worked on a farm up near Parkhill, and used to motorbike in to the Don View thru the week in our stinking boiler suits for a couple of pints/darts.Owner was desperate enough for the custom not to worry about the farmyard stink. Mundurno mill now and again, though it was a bit up market for us peasants. Tobys and the Scotstoun later
24. Cant see him getting that job at this time,....maybe after theyve been sat in the championship a couple of years. The Baggy fans seem a bit luke warm about him as a candidate too
