Wasnt aware of that B 'n T album, but 3 belters right at the start On a related note,I remember liking a type of music on the radio that I hadnt heard before, and wondering what the heck you called the style of music(the boy never gave out the name at the end).Bugged me for a while til I saw a flier for a Blues n Trouble gig in town.Hadnt heard of them before but the word 'Blues' rang a bell. Popped along to the Venue(1987) for a swatch, and it turned out the blues was the genre I was unfamiliar with.Still one of the best gigs Ive been to.

We've got a comparatively very good squad which has taken a number of years to build up,and reorganise at times when players have left.Splashing out on strikers from another league, and unproven in ours would be mental.Still think there are plenty goals in May and Rooney,we just havnt managed to get the right perm of players at the right times to give them proper supply. If we can get the right midfield pairing, with Shinnie at left back then working out the combo up front would be easier. On paper, our options upfront are as good as you'll get at our level,.May,Christie,GMS and Stewart are as intelligent as we've had in years IMO.Hoping were not far off from finding what makes these guys click, though a bit more caution to the wind sometimes might help, esp against the smaller teams, plus as said, they had more faith in, and supply, from Defence and midfield

Were we not offered Klinsmann and Trezeguet during the Aitken halcyon days? Maybe they werent better than we had at the time....

That last pic does look like the 'Gorms.Reminds me of looking over the plateau from Monadh mor to the back of Cairn Toul/Devils point etc etc Had planned to blitz a lot of hills over the festive period but the amount of snow at times put a stop to that Did a fine walk with the brother in law above Dunkeld over Xmas.A circuit of local lochs(Dowally,Polney,Mill dam) etc.Around a 10 mile trip all in IMG_3639 (2) by , on Flickr Frozen Loch Polney IMG_3645 by , on Flickr IMG_3643 (2) by , on Flickr Also did Ben More and Stob Binnein in deep snow. What a plowter though Parked at Ben more farm(seen further ahead),near Crianlarich,on the A85.The sign in the foreground, which is to the east, is the starter for the track along to Ben more IMG_3513 by , on Flickr Easy to follow track IMG_3436 by , on Flickr The track comes to an abrupt halt at the tree below(top slighlty right of centre) and heads steeply uphill IMG_3448 (2) by , on Flickr Eases off further up IMG_3463 by , on Flickr Stob Binnein is ascended by dropping down to the south from Ben Mores summit,to the dip between the 2 hills, and up again,to the Stobs summit .Then come back down to the dip between the hills, and aim for the track again on the floor of the glen. IMG_3476 by , on Flickr For scale,it took half an hour to get from the lowest point in the photo to the summit in the photo IMG_3507 by , on Flickr Tough hills, made tougher by the snow, but great views.6.5 hrs all in,for a normally 4 or 5 hrs trip

The original singer Tim Elliott was still fronting them until very recently.Thought his lifestyle(allegedly) might have caught up with him before now,but fair play.....

Anyone remember Edinburgh band,Blues n Trouble at the Venue back in the day? "The best white Blues band around" according to BB King Cherry peaches https://open.spotify.com/track/50i2MW3Z6iPH3rjoeaKua0

Watched a couple of films at my brother in laws over Xmas.First one was a film with Lee Evans in it,called the History of Mr Polly.Left us scratching our heads at the end...'Eh?.....ach well'. Worth watching just for its unusualness 4/10 The other was about Princess' Elizabeth and Margaret having a night out in London without supervision during the VE celebrations."A royal night out" I think? Not a bad watch at all 7/10

Proabaly not far off the mark min.Never liked his mother.Always appeared he was as much a product of his mothers ambition as his own. What input he had in his career choice, I would be interested to know. But,cant argue he's done as well as any Brit is likley to do again.....and he's still young enough to start another career of his own choice

Just watched Ryan Fraser bagging a couple v Everton. 5 in his last 7 I think they said. Seems to be Bournemouth main source of creativity. Good on him

We were a wee bit unlucky not to take more from the game. Hard going when there's 10 men behind the ball. Final ball could have been better, and we needed to be more inventive with our runs and build up a play, which was too predictable/obvious as mentioned. Defence was pretty solid, Logan moments aside, hope fully a fit May and Mcginn can help unlock the stuffy defences

In for this one. Not sure what to expect from Hearts, a bit hot and cold. On our day should be too strong for them if we press them like we can. 3 - 1 Dons GMS x2, Rooney x1.
-
Reynolds and Ball?? Should have let that wee interviewer pick the team
-
'Boydy' puts Killie 2 -1up v Sevco. 4 mins to go.....
-
Thistles not the worst team the Tims could be facing in our case.Capable of a shock result on their day.Anything that puts doubt in Timmys mind.... Our best results against the bigger teams have been when weve taken the game to them(Eh Derek?) - Hearts,Huns away last season,Tims SC Cup final.Hoping Saturday was a sign the front guys are getting their act together. Timmy 2 AFC 5 May x3,Flipper x2

Thats a classic ^^^(Edit - aye the St Mirren game/bounce) Another great memory was playing St Mirren at home, and thrashing them 5-1 I think.Charlie got a hat trick Main memory was spending most of my time watching the antics of the Dutch Contingent in the Beach, and Merkland ends, who came over to watch the Dutch players in our side at the time. All decked in red and white, with big banners.Top loons

We set off to do some Munros on Saturday with Aberdeen under an inch or 2 of snow, thinking we'll be a lucky if we get a couple done today.Got there(Ben Lawers) and were surprised how little snow was on the hill.Forecast had been lots of snow leading up til Saturday.Got all 4 Eastern Lawers hills done IMG_3267 by , on Flickr Saying that, there were a few dodgy bits IMG_3298 by , on Flickr
