  1. Elgin - West end primary/then the Academy In Portlethen hoping to move outside the ring road to Alford/Insch area
  2. Good post. Continuity I thinks a large part of it,and paying off,in having the same manager and bulk of the team.Hopefully there arent too many changes in summer. His caution was what annoyed me most him,but he seems to have changed direction a bit there, with the extra tempo and intensity/less standing off teams.Maybe because he has more confidence in the squad, but were getting more out of them as a result
  3. 2500. Superb turnout for a live game on Fri night

  17. What a w/e. Cracking day on the Skye Cuillin yesterday, and a balmy 17oC on the Speyside way today Spey at Grantown Rum from the Skye Cuillin
  18. Kinda glad theres nae proper fitba this w/e,forecast looking top drawer.Bit of the Speyside way Saturday, and over to Skye afterwards for some Cuillin on Sunday. Enjoy it while it lasts

Most of the bigger Speyside ones are well done.https://www.discovering-distilleries.com/cardhu/tours/ http://www.glenfarclas.co.uk/en/pages/122,Five-Decades-Tour-Tasting.html On the same topic,we had a tour round a tiny new distillery in Uig,Lewis last year.A family operation at a great wee place thats been cobbled together with cast offs from other distilleries. http://www.abhainndearg.co.uk/
  20. Ooocha. The leprosys a bit off putting.
  21. The landscapes changed/changing though.Mentioned further back that since 2003,around 55,000 migrants have moved to the city,of which 60% have settled on the east side of the city ie Seaton,Froghall,Torry etc, with more of the locals moving to the suburbs
  22. Spangles is an apt description ....may eventually get a trip to tannadice. Depends how the cup draws go....
  23. It was a slick operation - cutting edge fashion, low booze prices and top patter with the ladies at nightclubs later. We certainly werent in those joints for the talent, only the cheap booze to avoid club prices later on Final mention to the Woodend bar,Dyce.Went in by for a pint regularly(late eighties) when my mate Angus was working behind the bar.Good old fashioned bar, still on the go I believe
  24. Is the Portland bar/club still open? Mind my pal inviting us in town for a night out and suggested we go to the Portland beforehand for a few swifties.I turned up thinking it was a trendy joint, in the dress of the time(mid eighties) ,jeans tucked into ankle boots,"casual" jumper tucked into jeans, hair nicely positioned with hairspray. Oooft, what a joint, some right psychos in there.Cheap booze, and the very basic tables and chairs,a hardened drinkers den, felt a bit of a fag and left sharpish. Another few I mind being in was the TGWU club just off George st somewhere, and the Civil service club just off crown st.Watched a couple of bands in a fine wee bar in the Imperial hotel,Exchange st
