  1. A pretty forgettable game apart from Stevie May.Never managed to get going in the forward areas.Going to take a while to work out who works best with who etc,but nobody seemed to be on their game.....but 3 points again. Dundee offered nothing early on til we gave them encouragement, and showed that they could probably cause a few teams problems, starting soon hopefully. The good news is,Stevie May looks like he's still got it O'Connor did well, the rest can do better Crowd 15'646. Surprised by that,me and my fellow Main Stand curmudgeon both thought around 13 - 13'500.Maybe tickets were bought but not attended.Very good if correct though.
  2. Pouting for selfies When's that shite going to stop. Are they so thick they think we dont know?....
  3. Looks over 14k on the ticket thing if I read it right. Just back from Donside hills, and Peterculter to Milltimber is closed, along with Drumoak bridge.Had to divert via Crathes bridge
  4. Actually youre right he also played for Buckie and Huntly http://www.liverpoolfc.com/history/past-players/john-ogston C1596 1961-09-00 John 'Tubby' Ogston, Aberdeen Goalkeeper © DCT by , on Flickr

  6. Heard of him but didnt realise he was as recent as the 60s.Was there nae another Tubby(or Soapy) Ogston back in the war era? Could be a bit of senility creeping in...

Ken't he was getting on a bit,but quite surprised to hear.Seemed quite sprightly for his age.Good innings though....
  8. Welcome min
  9. The population demographic is changing/has changed though has it nae?.I read somewhere(AC council report),that of the 60,000 migrants that had moved to the city in recent years, most had settled on the East side of town, with more of the locals moving to the outskirts and beyond.I can see most of the land between town and the AWPR being built on(see Blairs, and Stewarties abomination between Cults and Kingswells). So longer term will Kingsford not eventually become a more reasonable site for the stadium, with the benefit of the AWPR,(along with the handy bonus of the sale of Pittodrie? And when the stadium starts falling apart in 20 years time,it will be time to move to the Alford arena anyway
  10. New stadium aerial view layout - https://www.pressandjournal.co.uk/fp/news/aberdeen/1309007/watch-aerial-view-of-how-new-aberdeen-stadium-could-look/
  11. So far so good if crowds are anything to go by.15'000 for a home game against Hamilton(would normally expect around 12 for a similar season opener?),and around 13'000 sold for Dundee so far.Without spending more than weve taken in,not bad at all.Maybe increase if we eventually 'click'. Been a while since I looked forward as much to games...
  12. Seen that a while back.Ach fair play to them. Also saw some guys going up a suspension bridge(Humber/Severn?).Mental
  13. In or Oot - In Furryboots - Mainer,beside the Merkland Aggro Pre - A few hills up Donside Post - Driving Prediction - 4 - 1 May,MacLean,Christie x2 Crowd - Forecast decent for the fairweathers - 15'846
  14. Speaking of Stac Pollaidh, took a group up of inexperienced walkers up yesterday.Managed up onto the ridge, but that was as far as they went,as most of the tourists do,but its very worth a wander to the far end,if not the summit. Some great views and rock formations along the way Theres a dedicated car park at the foot of the hill,on the road round to Achiltiebuie from Ullapool. The path leads straight up the hill from the car park, giving you the choice of a West or East route further up.We chose the east route. On the way up,summit to the far left IMG_1988 by [/url], on Flickr Path winds round to the opp side, steeply, before getting onto the ridge IMG_1951 by , on Flickr Once onto the ridge there are various routes along to the summit. Its a case of trying one, come back down if its awkward and try another til you get as far as you are able. IMG_1955 by , on Flickr Unusual rock formations en route IMG_1972 (2) by , on Flickr The trickiest bit is just as you approach the summit, explained well in the later part of this report here http://www.scottishhills.com/html/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=8883 I took the above bypass option which looks a lot worse in that report than it was. A great wee hill at only 600m with outstanding views and interest. An hour to the ridge(with non regular walkers),under an hour to the summit and back, and an hour down
  15. Missed this one yesterday, but another tough venue, another win and still finding our feet.Bodes well.. Looking forward to watching how this side evolves.Bring on the Dee

  20. Blimey,hope its not a hoax.4 year deal ? https://www.pnefc.net/news/2017/august/stevie-may-joins-aberdeen-on-permanent-deal/
  21. What if the unthinkabkle does happen then. Will you attend games at the new stadium?
  22. aye, seem to remember a not too inspiring start to last season and we came good.Even with a higher turnover of players this season, results have been,so far, comparable if not slightly better than last.Another couple of months to bed in i'd say,and an inspired signing(defender or striker) along the way wouldnt go amiss....
  23. SRV - Love struck baby Dont mind if i do
  24. As you were...3 - 2 Well
  25. not now....
