Got the nephew down for the fitba this w/e and he fancied seeing the 'Great wall' last night, without either of us knowing much about it Wasnt what we expected,a watchable film with some impressive scenes, but felt like we'd seen most of it before(think of a Chinese lesser version of Lord of the rings) 6.5/10
  3. Just home, didnt realise they were playing.Excellent way to end the Friday night 8)
  4. just back from "the Great Wall" at the flicks(not bad),and downing some Argentinian "Hereford" red wine, which isna setting the heather on fire.Hope the fitbas better the morn.
  5. A lot of the guys on Abmad talked about Dons talk in the early days as the place to be and probably still would be were it not for the site closing down for a spell. Interested to know how people got to know about the site in the early days, and how long it took to get as busy as it was before it closed down.
  6. That Devenick dairy has some decent stuff in it,though Toonsers might be put off by the dubs and skitter round about the shop
  7. Ive no idea who she is,but from her photos am pretty confident I hate her guts. That'll be a no
  8. Missed the last couple of homes due to one thing or another.Working am but hopefully enough time to go. We should have won by more up there.Play with a similar intensity and we should get the win,COYR In or oot - In Furry - SS X Pre/Post - Driving Prediction - 3-1 Dons Rooney,Hayes,MacLean Crowd - 11'438
  9. Nice find, havnt seen that one before. as for Jim MacLeans attempt at humour - Its ok jim,we got it the first time
  10. Random burst into song by a choir - Brilliant !
  11. A few already mentioned that I would have said.I'll add the boy Muir was it ?,v ICT in a midweek game a coupla years ago.The crowd was going mental at him in the first half and he failed to come out in the second due to "injury".Shocking performance
  12. Drove past one of the signs on the way to Kingswells the other day. "No to traffic chaos". What?,you wont manage a couple of hours once a fortnight?,but you'll manage a new Tesco 24 hours a day,and those subsea buildings et al. Have they ever wondered how a more built up area like Pittodrie has coped all these years
  13. Whatever Pawletts got weve never managed to tease it out of him like St J did.How many times did we see him making great runs into the box,but nobody alert enough,or on the same wavelength to take advantage.I mind him linking up with Sone Aluko against St J(Craig brown era I think),ripping them apart, but they rarely played together afterwards for reasons unknown, maybe too exciting for we Craig Reluctant to let him go,happy for him to stay in the squad(if he is),but if he wants to move......
  14. Agreed. The lineup today potentially had lots of goals in it(more so if Rooney was in the middle),but the down side is,against a team team that hassles and harries like today,it didnt seem to have the nous to deal with them.May have worked against a different side Christie is a nice option to have,I like him,but it may be a different type of midfielder were looking for in summer. Happy to see what we can do with him while he remains though
  15. Dundee taking the game to them like we should have. Hang on the Dees EDIT - Well done the Dees
  16. Get in.....
  17. tut tut....
  18. Good chat again on Matchday live. Glad to get that one out the way.Aye,would have taken a point with 15 to go.Digging out a win like that when we were so off the pace is all good. Well done loons
  19. Surprised he stuck with Christie but interested to see what he does.Everyone here or the chat?
  20. W/e at home, trying to knock the house into shape for selling.A new beer, Deuchars IPA being endured to finish off the day
  21. Hearts 0 ICT 1 Shankland goal chalked off for Morton Elgin 2 Clyde 0
  22. Am nae that young though, maybe hillwalkings the solution
  23. Maybe compensate was the wrong word, more allowing myself to eat rubbish(and assuming it would be burned off),as long as there was still access to the proper nutrients etc with the fruit and veg etc. The sugar warnings are the ones Ive been ignoring long enough though, more in terms of sluggishness and mood, than weight.Need to look into that one
  24. Interesting comments.Love my bread, and guilty of too much sugar, but eat a lot of good fruit and veg to compensate.Have always thought,(in my case no weight issues) all the rubbish element got burned off due to having a physical job,and outdoor pursuits? Speaking of veg,got another veg box this week, with another cabbage.Couldnt be arsed finding another cabbage recipe,so chucked it into a soup along with carrot and butternut squash. One of my better soups i have to say...
  25. Id like to see the same midfield/attack as Wed,Shinnie at l/b, Consi at CH.Curious to see if that midfield gives us the extra movement and invention that we often lack But,reckon he may drop Christie for Shinnie . Still see a comfortable win.3-1 Dons (Rooney,Hayes 2)
