  12. Correct and we proved it by beating Hamburg in the super cup and then getting to the semi final of the same compition the following year unlike the tims and probably huns who will be back to normal getting knocked out early doors next year.

  16. I think the MLS ahs improved even since I moved her in 2004 and having players like Angel, Beckham, Blanco can only make it better. I agree it is probably around the same standard as the SPL without the old firm.
  17. They have a great keeper in Pat Onstad, unless he is retiring next season I cant see Soapy ousting him as Number 1
  18. Class read the book and own the DVD, "I can take mair" Reading if you liked school you will love work now.
  19. Agree I may be living in the past but I still get a fuzzy feeling when I think that we are the last Scottish team to win a European trophy and the only Scottish team to win 2 European trophies, both these records would be gone if the huns win the UEFA Cup. Although John Hewitt would probably be the last scotsman to score the winning goal in a European final as the chances of a scotsman scoring the winner for them is slim.
  20. Correct, moving in next door to frank Mcgarvey
  21. From the BBC website: Ref wrong to rule out Dons 'goal' A Brines mistake denied Aberdeen a point at Celtic Park Referee Iain Brines has admitted he wrongly disallowed the goal which could have finished Celtic's title challenge. Brines penalised Zander Diamond for handball seconds before the Aberdeen defender struck what would have been a last-minute equaliser at Celtic Park. However, Brines has used the Scottish FA website to explain his mistake. "Having had the opportunity to view the incident via television, I fully accept that I called this incident completely wrong," he said. Celtic's 1-0 win moved them two points clear at the top of the table, although Rangers have played three games less. The decision left Diamond and his colleagues enraged and the defender was critical of Brines after the game. The referee has since told the 'whistleblower' section of the SFA's website: "From the angle I had adopted, I observed the Aberdeen player Diamond jump to meet the ball and I believed he used his hand to aid the ball's flight beyond him. "Immediately I blew my whistle awarding a free-kick to Celtic. "The majority of players reacted to the whistle by stopping - the exception being Diamond who placed the ball into the Celtic goal. "Having adopted the position I did, it didn't allow me to gain the best view of what happened during the incident. "It is clear that the goal should not have been disallowed." In a post-match interview that may land Diamond in hot water, the Aberdeen man said: "Saying I used my hand is an absolute joke and that sums him up. "I thought he had a poor game. "The decision is unbelievable. If that's one of Scotland's top officials, I think we're in trouble."
