  1. In short: Insufficient data. Robson has been caretaker for only a handful of games, the names being bandied about are complete unknowns in the context of Scottish football, we still don't know where the players' heads are at. Think somebody said earlier to leave Robson in place and take our time over getting the right candidate in closer to the summer, but keep things under review in the meantime. I'd agree with that. If Robson is clearly making a pigs arse of it, accelerate the hiring. If Robson demonstrates he is the best choice, make him permanent. After all, it's not like there's a plethora of big name candidates available who will go somewhere else if we don't act immediately.
  2. So with 5 games left, the run-in for top-6 glory looks as follows (matches against each other in bold ) : Hearts (45 pts): Dons (A), Killie (A), St Mirren (H), Hibs (A), Ross County (H) Hibs (40 pts): Celtic (A), Well (H), Dundee Utd (A), Hearts (H), St Johnstone (A) Dons (38 pts): Hearts (H), St Johnstone (A), Killie (H), Ross County (A), Sevco (H) St Mirren (37 pts): Dundee Utd (A), Livi (H), Hearts (A), Sevco (A), Killie (H) Livi (36 pts): Ross County (H), St Mirren (A), Well (A), St Johnstone (H), Dundee Utd (A) With the St Mirren - Livi game meaning guaranteed dropped points by one or both of them, my dubious maths makes it that we "only" need to win 4 games out of 5 to make top-6.
  3. With Livi drawing with Aberdeen B, we could now add the highly aspirational " top 6 secured" total (50).
  4. We should set up some kind of board to monitor this
  5. Almost like we are playing against someone who knows our every weakness. However, we can now change things at half time - Goodwin won't be expecting that.
  6. Forgot this was a later start, so wins for St. Johnstone and Kilmarnock, and a Hibs-Livi draw would do us nicely. Ross County and Well can do whatever they like.
  7. There's nothing wrong with lists that: 1. Have no purpose 2. Just exist to make the author happy with having made a list.
  8. Looking forward to Goodwin's tactics actually helping us for a change..
  9. This seems a worryingly low bar.
  10. His agent has a lovely writing style. Seriously though, it's an article written by an apparent student journalist with no other pieces to his name. Let's not put too much weight on it.
  11. 3 own goals feels a bit optimistic but I like your thinking.
  12. A leftfield suggestion, but my preference would be for Hemin Fahzát - up and coming coach who was part of the management team at MTK Budapest prior to György Bognár coming in, so has worked with both Miovski and Ramadani in the past and hopefully knows how to get the best out of them. Panda, make it happen.
  13. I wonder if Yerdäs Selzavön fancies a managerial career now that his playing days are over?
  14. Top work min. https://metro.co.uk/2023/02/16/aberdeen-fans-told-they-must-wait-for-their-new-boss-18291246/
  15. Giakoumakis now signed up with Atlanta until 2026. Any way we can get him in before the Celtic game?
  16. So I asked chatGPT for you. Turns out computers don't know everything.
  17. Fun fact - with 14 games left, we have now conceded the same number of goals as during the entirety of last season (46).
  18. tbf he didn't take it lying down.
  19. We should get Adam Jackson back up from Lincoln City as his defensive partner, they'd make a great picture.
  20. A valid point, it looked to me a team adrift, with no instruction or direction. I'm not sure what is more worrying, that we have no tactical nous to correct this off the park or on it. The next manager has a hell of a job.
  21. Hemmin, what happens in Atlanta, stays in Atlanta.
  22. Not sure I can afford many more monitors.
