  1. Finishes 2-1 to saints. Considine was pivotal in defence.

    VAR

There is nothing wrong with VAR the technology. There is, however, a lot wrong with how it is currently being implemented in Scottish football, and VAR (the technology) is in danger of becoming a scapegoat that deflects from the continuing ineptitude of the referees operating it.
  3. St Johnstone showing us how its done. 2-0 against Sevco. An hour gone, 29% possession, 2 shots on target. 2 goals. Mental.
  4. Twas a thing of beauty. Thank christ we got rid of that team of imposters from the first half.
  5. Duk is proper entertainment, can't wait to seehim and Hayes back on the same pitch.
  6. One to go
  7. It's a great snapshot of correct and inocrrect use of VAR - offside & keeper off line, these are easily checked, clear cut, sensible uses of VAR. Duk's dive/penalty though, I'm still of the opinion that VAR should be used to check that there was a clear and obviou foul, and if not, it should not be awarded.
  8. Genuinely don't know how we are in the lead. Also, didn't look like a penalty to me. But i'll take it
  9. Just checking my opinion now, be with you shortly.
  10. I had assumed we were already doing this - that surely can't be the same Hayes out on the pitch each time week in week out.
  11. Typical Hibs, have to go one better
  12. Sevco have a goal difference of -15 after 4 games. Only two games left, can they make it to -20?
  13. 1-7
  14. Salah ripping Sevco a new one, and he's only been on the pitch about ten minutes. Took him 6min 12sec to score a hat-trick. Enough time left for him to get another 4.

    VAR

Well, the next old firm derby is 2nd Jan, so I'd imagine that's their deadline for getting it right. Expect all controversial VAR decisions in the matches preceding this to be dismissed as "teething problems".
  16. I clearly need to work on upping my cynicism.
  17. Poor lad must've found a bean in his rowie.
  18. Is that... Ramirez?
  19. All three *aydens on the pitch now.
  20. Presumably they didn't let him out of Kilmarnock to do the commentary. I'm impressed that he can be simultaneously monotone and delusional - "an even game", "one touch passing from Kilmarnock", and just after our 4th goal "a setback for Kilmarnock"
  21. I fear for the boy commentating on the killie stream, he sounded pretty miserable even before the goals.
  22. Hearing is set for 6th October. Next game against Sevco is 29th October, so a presumably a 4 match ban?
  23. A very decent performance and excellent result, and good to see yet another assist for McGinn's arse.
  24. Is this not the wrong way round to use VAR though? The onus is surely on the ref to spot a clear foul to justify a decision of that magnitude - if a VAR replay then shows it is as inconclusive as you (quite rightly) point out, that should be reason enough to overturn the onfield decision.
