  1. Worryingly there still remains the possibility that it could be at the expense of us...
  2. note to self: add observational skills to "things clearly deteriorating with age" list (page 47)
  3. Thinking the BBC might have jumped the gun a bit writing articles about how Glass has turned things around https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/59119203
  4. Fun fact. Some may mention the impact of Covid skewing figures, but 23.5m is 1.5m more than the entire collective losses of the SPL in the 2008-2009 season when we were last in the grip of of global financial meltdown, which includes the collapse of the Setanta deal, record accumulation of blatantly unsustainable £31m net debt by some club called Rangers FC (whatever happened to them?) and a Hearts administration running a wages/turnover ratio of 126% just seemingly for their own amusement.
  5. What's McInnes up to these days?

Now said rag are claiming another exclusive regarding links with Norwich, Man Utd, and Leicester. Can't wait to hear what next weeks episode from Calvin's agent reveals.
  7. Based on prior experience of the Big Four, I fully expect Deloitte to recommend that lots more Deloitte resources are brought in to conduct further Deloitte-scoped work deep diving into the issues initially identified by Deloitte.
  8. Fucksake. End of comment.
  9. Good man, don't rise to the bate.
  10. Now that's a proper definition of "token".
  11. Austin "Senior goal" Samuels to score a hat trick and we lose 3-3 on penalties. Mustn't overdo the optimism.
  12. Just got the game up and by christ, that pitch. If this was the replacement can only assume it was because the original pitch was ready for harvest.
  13. Don't want to take this personally but it feels like Glass has chosen this lineup just to mock my predicted scorers ?
  14. I get where you're coming from min but none of the teams you mention won any of those games - on aggregate Saints lost 6-3 to Monaco, Raith 4-1 to Bayern, Well 3-0 to Dortmund. The problem is that your argument is based on the premise that we will lose the game anyway, so better to lose it to a more glamorous name. I'd much rather actually progress in the competition than revel in short-lived glorious failure in the first round, it feels too much like the football equivalent of the elderly pub drunk mumbling about how he "could've had" the hulking punter that's just laid him on his arse. Anyways, if we reach the group stages we both may get to have our cake and eat it - progress in the competition AND an arse-kicking from some more glamorous names into the bargain.
  15. 1-3 Dons (Ramirez, Hedges, Considine), looks like we've remembered where the goal is but clean sheets are going to be like hens teeth this season.
  16. There goes Slim's hopes for beating them on paper, guess we'll have to just do it on grass
  17. Can only assume Ojo has fallen asleep too near an strange pod and been replaced by a sinister replicant as part of an alien invasion seeking to infiltrate humanity. I for one welcome our new overlords.
  18. Some prematch viewing - the fight to play the winners of our match is on at 6pm http://www.hesgoal.com/news/84616/Karabakh_vs_AEL_Limassol.html
  19. A lengthy Dons career beckons
  20. The forum is watching you
  21. Knowing us we'd probably play him at centre-back
  22. Please copy and paste the most up to date list and don't use the quote function otherwise names will go Gary MacDonald. Rules: 1. One name per points tally for the season, first come first served! 2. Only allowed to change prediction until closure of January transfer window as along as it is to an empty tally. 114 100 90 80 79 78 77 - Kevin Spence 76 75 74 73 - Self confesed Lazy Cunt called Panda 72 71 - tlg1903 70 - OxfordDon 69 68 67 - Elgindon 66 65 - BigAl 64 - MBT 63 - The 'Grand Master' occasionally called Rico 62 61 - Jute 60 - Wee Toon Red 59 - 58 - RedStarTorphins 57 56 - Manc_don 55 54 53 - Tom_Widdows 52 51 50 49 48 47 46 45 44 43 42 41 40 39 38 37 36 35 34 33 32 31 30 29 28 27 26 25 24 23 22 21 20
  23. I stubbed my toe on an unanticipated door sill on Saturday, but I don't think it will affect the team's morale greatly.
  24. Too many heart-in-mouth moments from the defence today though - hoping Glass is just keeping Gallagher back for Thursday (and beyond), otherwise we have to get a lot tighter there in short order, a better team will easily exploit our frequent communicative lapses.
  25. Meanwhile, some goal from Ramsey and Ramirez - early signs but hoping we have found Rooney II
