Assorted media seem to think Liverpool have offered £4m up front (up to £6m with add-ons), but we are wanting £5m front (up to £8.5m with add-ons). Nice to see we aren't just rolling over for once, although that extra million is probably what Liverpool spend on paper clips.

Bates has been really close to getting the ball in the back of the net the last couple of games, I'd put money on him to score the winner this time. And then we've got all of next season to work on getting him to do it in the opponents goal instead.
