  1. How's he meant to boycott Aberdeen for still having Ryan Christie on a 36 month loan without intending to go in the first place? These things have to be planned carefully.
  2. No suprises there really, i expect McKenna, Storie and Shankland to follow suit (to the Championship that is, not necessarily to St Mirren). By "2nd choice", do you mean the way he's played 32 games for Falkirk this season as their No.1 keeper with 9 losses and 8 clean sheets? Or are you talking about the previous season, 2015/16, when he played every game for Falkirk, won Championship Player of the Month twice, and was named in the PFA Championship Team of the Season? Then again, perhaps you're confusing Falkirk with Dumbarton, where he played every game of the 2014/15 season and won both Dumbarton Player of the Year and Young Player of the Season awards. Or is it his club and international appearances you are mixing up - after all, he only managed 4 clean sheets in 13 appearances at U-21 level for Republic of Ireland, and didn't even get on the pitch he got called up to the senior squad at the age of 22 last October. Whichever it is, i can see where you're coming from. Quite frankly, he's clearly shit.
  3. Highlights are up on the BBC, some good quality goals in there. Here's hoping that's Wright making the step up, and also that Christie is a genuine target for us in the summer, both looked excellent.
  4. Jack hasn't announced anything other than he is leaving. The papers are the ones claiming to be in the know - hardly surprising as they make money off spreading rumours.
  5. I hear it only gets harder as the competition progresses too. :( :(
  6. So, with the league over, how did we do? With 0 games remaining: Most Wins: 24 - BEST IN 24 YEARS, =6TH ALL-TIME - beats last years total (23) for the highest total since 1992/93 (27), when we played 44 games in a season. Only beaten by the 80s. Fewest Draws: 4 - BEST IN 59 YEARS, =5TH ALL-TIME - fewest draws in a season since 1957/58 (2). Only beaten by seasons in the 50s when we played 30 or 34 games. Fewest Defeats: 10 - =2ND BEST IN 23 YEARS, =33RD ALL-TIME - since 1993/94 (6). Joins 2005/6 (10) and 2013/14 (10) and only surpassed by 2014/15 (9). All-time suffers from shorter seasons in earlier years, however its the 9th best all-time in seasons of 38 games or more (45 seasons). Most Goals Scored: 74 - BEST IN 24 YEARS, 15TH ALL-TIME - beats last years total (62) by a full dozen to be the most goals scored since 1992/93 (87 over 44 games). The all-time record is 1935/36 (96). Least Goals Conceded: 35 - 2ND BEST IN 26 YEARS, 23RD ALL-TIME - since 1990/91 (27), only surpassed by 2014/15 (33). Again suffers from shorter historical seasons, but 6th best all-time in seasons of 38 games or more (45 seasons). Highest Goal Difference: +39 - BEST IN 24 YEARS. 11TH ALL-TIME - highest since 1992/93 (+51 over 44 games). The all-time record is 1984/85 (+63 in 36 games!). Most Points: 76 - BEST ALL-TIME - beats previous record by 1 point for new all-time record. One remaining record is that previously, we have only managed to reach runners-up/finalists or better in all 3 Scottish competitions in one season twice in our history - 1989/90 (2nd in league, League & Scottish cup winners) and 1992/93 (runners-up in everything). This season is the 3rd time, and i would happily swap all the achievements above to go one better than 92/93 in this one, and finish with a cup.
  7. Well, i'm in a huff because they didnae score a single goal after i started watching the game.
  8. Pawlett gets booked for diving when we are 5-0 up. I bet he'll be heartbroken to see the back of Scottish referees.
  9. Somebody get a' the sharp objects oot of Donsdaft's hoose.
  10. at this rate, this could be the greatest match we've never seen.
  11. BBC text now getting it (w)right. Sounds like Scott is making his case for next season.
  12. RedTV can only stream if there's a TV channel willing to cover the game, if there's no cameras there then there's not much they can do about it. Same goes for finding net streams - there has to be something to stream from. BBC on the other hand - given they have folk at (or watching) each game, would it have hurt to have provided the Tic match as a supplementary radio stream instead of the only one? Even their aff the ba shite would have been preferable.
  13. BBC coverage is shocking, there's no way i'm listening to the Tic lovefest just to hope for an occasional update on the Dons game.
  14. That's a fecking embarrassment of a post min, gie herself a shake. This whole thread has turned into hysterical nonsense, Huns must be wetting themselves over some of the reactions on here.
  15. MK Dons are almost identical in size (although obviously not quality ) to us. For 2015/16: Their wage bill = £8million, ours = $7million. Their revenue = £12million, ours = £13.5million Their average attendance = 13K, ours = 13K Their debt = £8million, our debt = And that was when they were in the Championship, they have dropped to L1 now. Sources: MK Dons Real Dons
  16. Ach, dinnae knock them min, Caley do a great job for us, it's nae their fault we aren't allowed to have the reserve team in-house at the moment. Nae sure about Watkins though, paper talk has him signing for Norwich.
  17. Pretty much this. We gave him the captaincy to retain him last time round, it didn't work, and i suspect we didn't make anywhere near as strong an offer to keep him this time round given we now have Shinnie (captain in waiting) and McLean. Certainly a distinct lack of "we want to build a team around him" chat from Deek this time, and i'm guessing Jack is injured for the rest of the season hence why the decision has been reached early - good for both us and him to conclude quickly. If he does choose to go to Petulant Pedro, he knows how that would be viewed by Dons fans, so how Jack responds to Sevco will be a fairly good indicator of his level of respect for a club that he has spent his entire career at. As i said before, innocent until proven guilty, so let's just see.
  18. At no point did King say he would spend the season ticket money on buying players - what he said was: That's exceptionally vague to put it mildly. If you add up existing squad "investments" - wages, training facilities, support staff etc - its probably not that far off the season tickets total already. The simple fact is that Sevco is still running at a loss, so without extra money in, the season ticket money can't suddenly and magically become an extra "warchest" if it's all tied up in current squad costs.
  19. Surely Greer must be approaching his 50s by now
  20. The Sevco - Dons match has passed, is this even still a rumour anymore?
  21. We're a right miserable bunch even when we are being biased I seem to remember it was Løvenkrands, i'm sure i heard his name being mentioned. Aye, he was a bit calmer but had considerably less airtime than the main commentator, who was determined to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. If that's better than it normally is, i should probably be thankful that this is the first time i've listened to SevcoTV
