  1. I heard Milne drilled a hole in our current bucket to ensure he gets the contract to build the new one.
  2. Ach well, I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Hun cunt . Can't say it's much of a loss to us really - he's already been replaced by Tansey, and now we have an actual captain in Shinnie. If that's the best that Sevco can manage in their "season ticket war chest" overhaul, then we can look forward to focussing on Celtic next season, rather than having to worry about what's behind us.
  3. Sevco have applied to build new stadium at Kingsford, claim it's a "step up" for brownfield site.
  4. There is also the small matter of purdah - local authorities tend to avoid any form of decision making that could potentially be perceived as politically sensitive in the runup to an election (general or otherwise).
  5. Well, that's the Daily Express for you. I wonder if the media can link a rumour to each of our 1st team & staff before Saturday. Checklist: McInnes & Doc Rooney Hayes McGinn McLean Jack Shinnie Logan O'Connor Considine Taylor Reynolds Lewis
  6. Hemmin, that disnae help out fans like me. I propose Christ Church Meadow - nice and central, mostly flat, easy to keep the pitch well watered, good transport links with everything south of Aberdeen. Barely anyone uses it anyway and they're mostly a bunch of punts.
  7. Aye that's the same thing, the link i put up was a live video stream of the studio which was being put out on the BBC Sport site, but which probably only lasted as long as the program I don't know how it came across on the radio, but one of the best bits was when God thanked Chick Young for being present "as a Rangers fan to balance the panel out" - the camera cut to Chick sputtering furiously while turning an odd colour, before cutting back to the entire panel laughing at him Overall though i was pleasantly surprised by the chat, i'd expected a barrage of misty-eyed 1967 memories and "invincible" fawning (especially when Chick kicked off the program with "Scottish Cup - does anyone fancy Aberdeen in this whole building?"), but God and Tattie held their own well.
  8. oh hooray, it's this thread again.
  9. Anyone watching thon cup preview on the BBC website - God and Neale Cooper on it with some other lesser mortals. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/live/scotland/40004627 Just tuned in the now myself and wound it back to the start edit - 30 seconds in and already Chick Young can fuck off.
  10. Welcome to 2017 AFC - he's been captain for the last 6 months
  11. Now that's just taking the urine sample.
  12. Try telling that to Lance Armstrong
  13. Can they be sharpened? You could market them as the Talons of Foo's ManU?
  14. How's he meant to boycott Aberdeen for still having Ryan Christie on a 36 month loan without intending to go in the first place? These things have to be planned carefully.
  15. No suprises there really, i expect McKenna, Storie and Shankland to follow suit (to the Championship that is, not necessarily to St Mirren). By "2nd choice", do you mean the way he's played 32 games for Falkirk this season as their No.1 keeper with 9 losses and 8 clean sheets? Or are you talking about the previous season, 2015/16, when he played every game for Falkirk, won Championship Player of the Month twice, and was named in the PFA Championship Team of the Season? Then again, perhaps you're confusing Falkirk with Dumbarton, where he played every game of the 2014/15 season and won both Dumbarton Player of the Year and Young Player of the Season awards. Or is it his club and international appearances you are mixing up - after all, he only managed 4 clean sheets in 13 appearances at U-21 level for Republic of Ireland, and didn't even get on the pitch he got called up to the senior squad at the age of 22 last October. Whichever it is, i can see where you're coming from. Quite frankly, he's clearly shit.
  16. Highlights are up on the BBC, some good quality goals in there. Here's hoping that's Wright making the step up, and also that Christie is a genuine target for us in the summer, both looked excellent.
  17. Jack hasn't announced anything other than he is leaving. The papers are the ones claiming to be in the know - hardly surprising as they make money off spreading rumours.
  18. I hear it only gets harder as the competition progresses too. :( :(
  19. So, with the league over, how did we do? With 0 games remaining: Most Wins: 24 - BEST IN 24 YEARS, =6TH ALL-TIME - beats last years total (23) for the highest total since 1992/93 (27), when we played 44 games in a season. Only beaten by the 80s. Fewest Draws: 4 - BEST IN 59 YEARS, =5TH ALL-TIME - fewest draws in a season since 1957/58 (2). Only beaten by seasons in the 50s when we played 30 or 34 games. Fewest Defeats: 10 - =2ND BEST IN 23 YEARS, =33RD ALL-TIME - since 1993/94 (6). Joins 2005/6 (10) and 2013/14 (10) and only surpassed by 2014/15 (9). All-time suffers from shorter seasons in earlier years, however its the 9th best all-time in seasons of 38 games or more (45 seasons). Most Goals Scored: 74 - BEST IN 24 YEARS, 15TH ALL-TIME - beats last years total (62) by a full dozen to be the most goals scored since 1992/93 (87 over 44 games). The all-time record is 1935/36 (96). Least Goals Conceded: 35 - 2ND BEST IN 26 YEARS, 23RD ALL-TIME - since 1990/91 (27), only surpassed by 2014/15 (33). Again suffers from shorter historical seasons, but 6th best all-time in seasons of 38 games or more (45 seasons). Highest Goal Difference: +39 - BEST IN 24 YEARS. 11TH ALL-TIME - highest since 1992/93 (+51 over 44 games). The all-time record is 1984/85 (+63 in 36 games!). Most Points: 76 - BEST ALL-TIME - beats previous record by 1 point for new all-time record. One remaining record is that previously, we have only managed to reach runners-up/finalists or better in all 3 Scottish competitions in one season twice in our history - 1989/90 (2nd in league, League & Scottish cup winners) and 1992/93 (runners-up in everything). This season is the 3rd time, and i would happily swap all the achievements above to go one better than 92/93 in this one, and finish with a cup.
  20. Well, i'm in a huff because they didnae score a single goal after i started watching the game.
  21. Pawlett gets booked for diving when we are 5-0 up. I bet he'll be heartbroken to see the back of Scottish referees.
  22. cheers to whoever's phone that is
  23. Somebody get a' the sharp objects oot of Donsdaft's hoose.
