  1. I reallyhope we stay as close to last Sats team as possible, meaning keep Wright and Ross in the team. The pace provided by that two in comparison to McGinn and Cosgrove is night and day.... Efe should be kacking himself at the prospect of facing those lads. 2-1 to the Dandies. GMS and Bruce Almighty off the bench.
  2. Sat was a brilliant display, esp the first 45mins. Feel sorry for those who didn't attend. Can't remember the last time i saw the team given a standing ovation at halftime... it wasn't just being applauded off the park, it was a proper standing ovation. I thought Frank Ross was better than what he's been given credit for by some. Some of the touches and flicks displayed by him, Wright and GMS were superb, proper entertainment. It looked like an old fashioned 4-4-2 with Wright being the deeper strike partner for May. I really can't complement the team highly enough for that first 45. We had actually created 4 decent chances in the first 6 mins, and by halftime i was saying it could have been 10 only for Shinniesta to go a miss an absolute sitter so it should have been 11 by HT. I'm a massive fan of Devlin... what a find. Young Fergie should go to the top, Frank should be playing ahead of McGinn imo. In fact i'd go with the same again but maybe move Ball into midfield in place of Gleeson with Shay back in his position. All in all still gushing about Sat. P.S. Rico is right, young Ando's shot wasn't on target but it was still a fair hit and had the keeper worried.
  3. I can't be arsed reading the AFC site so though i'd cut a corner and read this thread to find out if the DNA thing was worth getting but i'm getting the impression it wouldn't be worth it. I don't wear Dons tops. I already have a season ticket but work abroad on equal time. Internet connection is SHITE when i'm away. I take it i wouldn't gain anything from my DNA membership?
  4. Aye they're pricey. Like you say they're nice and i wouldn't be wearing it if i knew i was going to be scrapping. Mind you if it was a scrap with N&T you could wear your wear your Sunday bests.
  5. Yes, Goalposter was one of the scrappers, Red Star Torphins was the other. I didn't realise Goalposter was the same guy as N&T from here but now you mention it christ knows how i didn't work that one out. Posts / speaks like a 14 year old. RST said he'd be there at 2pm wearing a "Moncler jacket". I'd be embarrassed if i was the only one who had to google what a Moncler jacket looked like.
  6. Is anyone else going to the Pittodrie Bar before kick off for the big fight? I'm not talking about Joshua and Parker... i'm talking about those two eejits from AbMad.
  7. Just finished the first of 3 series of Gomorrah. Mafia related shenanigans in Naples. In Italian with English subs. Very violent and a bit of an eye opener to the low standards that the southern Italians have to endure. Having said that i suppose every big city has areas like what are being depicted in the series. It's on Sky Boxsets. Well worth a watch.
  8. I voted for Hately because that's who was mostly on my mind but when i seen the list i actually felt a bit sick! What a fucking line up of detestable cunts! I'd forgotten about Elbows McCulloch. To me he was the most recent 'hun'. For me it's The Crab and Ian Fergushuns, Nacho Homo, Elbows, Brown, Hately and Ricksen.
  9. In - possibly last game of the season for me already! Leave for a 6 weeker next week, get home on 18th May, you know what's on the next day? SSW as per. Staying in town and going to Oasis tribute in Drummonds. Going for 1-0. We're about as fluid as Marmite just now and probably just as likeable... Hoping Joe is back between the sticks. God knows what's going on in the forward positions but it needs to start clicking asap!
  10. Thought i might add my tuppence worth for y'all... Neighbour invited me over to his to watch the match, quickly nipped to the shops for Tennents, wasn't sharing my Birra Moretti that i had bought in, with him. Anyway, he's 50 years old, local and a big Liverpool 'fan'. At any given opportunity throughout the Scotland game he was flicking over to the England game... honestly, making my fooking blood boil even having a passing interest in a different country playing a friendly! As soon the Scotland game was finished it was flicked over to the English game so we could get the summarising of that game. I lost track of how many times i was informed that Salah had opened the scoring for Egypt against Portugal.... He offered me another beer which was politely declined and i fucked off. The Scotland game... i thought McKenna was a contender for MotM. McTominay, Cairney and McDonald added nothing, especially McDonald... if he plays again i'm going to offer my services as i'm more useful than that (and i'm 46 with a dodgy knee!). McBurnie did alright, nothing eye catching tho, Robertson was the same. Hanley is a liability pure and simple! Matt Ritchie, was hopeless as well. It's fair to say i wasn't impressed, tho i wanted to be. Fair play to Big Eck for giving it a go and that's what these games are for but there were 3 or 4 who don't even deserve another shotty!
  11. I like Shay as a player but like everyone else been aware that he's now been off his game for a good while. Now that he's suspended for the semi i think we need to be gearing up for that by figuring out a replacement soonest, starting this weekend. No better time than against a poor team at home surely?! I don't really know what options are available to us.... Ball?
  12. I agree, all these folks are doing is adding stress into their lives and draining their own finances all just to delay the building for a few years. They're not going to get the decision overturned as there's so much weight behind the Yes decision now. Sure they'll maybe hold it up for a wee while but it'll eventually go ahead. Don't get me wrong, i'd love for us to remain in the same spot on Pittodrie Street. That's home and i wish it could remain so. We all know Pittodrie Stadium is quite embarrassing these days tho. I don't doubt Milne has let her slide into the state she's in now to advance his own plans / agenda, the seats in the South Stand are a disgrace! Also there's nothing better than on big match day than getting the early train from Inverurie into town, noising up the Highland Zombies and Dhims at the same time. Walking to various bars on our way to the game and reverse the process afterwards, all within walking distance. It's a great day out but the image and future of the club is more important than me and others having a fun time 4 times a year. One thing i'd like to know is, are they going to be able to make the grass grow on the new stadiums pitch? They've maybe already made some sort of comment about this but i haven't seen it. They sure as fook can't make the grass grow at Pittodrie so i hope they've considered this at the new site. Maybe the sun gets up higher in Westhill does it?
  13. I know Stockley was no Van Basten but i didn't think he was totally hopeless. His goal away to Partick proved that he had a reasonable touch. I believe the flaw is in DM's tactics. He wants a big strong target man to play at centre forward but he also wants these guys to chase back and defend.... that is not part and parcel of the game to these type of players and due to the 'cheating bastard' nature of opposition players these days i believe that's why they end up being booked and sent off on a regular basis.
  14. Well, after a 5 week trip away in a new job and being stuck in Frankfurt airport for 18/19 hours on Fri i got home at 1 am on Sat morning, cleared the drive etc on Sat morning then went to the match... all the way from Inverurie!!! The whole day was disappointing.... turn out from fans and performance from the team. We obviously started well enough with Shinnie showing exactly why he should be played at left back. Scoring was the worst thing we could have done it would seem. Stopped performing right there and then. DM's persistence on playing Rooney at left wing should be a hanging offence in football management... totally ridiculous! When he played up top for the last 10mins he had two strikes at goal, one off target and one on... i said at the time the next one was a goal but of course we ran out of time. As i said the crowd was very disappointing... Killie singing "what a shitey home support" at us really is embarrassing and sums it up! If folk are using the weather as an excuse then that's pretty sad, Killie fans had just travelled 200 miles in one direction. If the stay aways didn't turn up because of DM's current brand of football then fair enough because it's fucking crap! Highlight of the whole afternoon was the ballboy who launched a snowball at the Killie fans when coming back out at the start of the second half! Well done young man!
  15. That was brilliant, 3 times it was headered on. Wouldn't have fancied the first one tbh. The cheers then were almost as big as they were for GMS's rocket! Saw AO'C and Reynolds laughing as well.
