  1. We are all zoom here in order to be compliant with the industry I work in, phone, video conference, and now even text.
  2. So, what’s the scoop, any good? Sounds like he’s a goal scoring attacking central mid, something Scotland could do with? Would be nice for Scotland to have another wide player like doak, certainly need a 9, but sounds like miller isn’t far away from the squad?
  3. Plus, if you lead with jimmy thelin being a major influence in your life it will be plain sailing from there.
  4. Happy to help if I can, certainly not with the content of the interview, but on the tech side. I had over a dozen job interviews on zoom 2-3 years ago (had never done that before) and it was the tech that stressed me out more than the interview itself. Practice helps, especially with sound and camera on/off, so you are comfortable/confident.
  5. Practice the technology so that you are able to attend a zoom meeting. I had to find a new job at 50 and it was the tech that was scary, not the content. Definitely look well dressed and presentable. You can also have a background filter so they cannot see your actual background. happy to have a zoom meeting with you to help you practice if that helps!
  6. So doak was our best player against Croatia and there’s questions whether he starts tonight?? Explain!!! we need to win, preferably by two, we should be playing our best 11 for this game. Unless he’s injured why wouldn’t he start? Youthful energy and enthusiasm is a good thing, no?
  7. I suppose it’s appropriate to acknowledge that 3 of the 4 teams are playing for something so not just us. I could totally see Croatia drawing or beating Portugal. Portugal may even experiment with players. as for us, we always fail in games like this, plus Poland are playing for something. The norm would be that we are 2 down at half time again and get a 2-2, piling forward for the win and we’re plucky losers yet again. would love to see a good win, win by 2 and Portugal win, but I just dont see it. We don’t have fresh players to bring in and two hard games on 3 days is a tough ask. I do t care that they have a few players out, despite what I said above I’m predicting 1-1.
  8. I assume to be appropriate it will be ‘Do they/them know it’s the holidays?’
  9. Renewed my vpn, got it!
  10. Can you post the link, don’t know if it’s a US thing but I can’t find it!
  11. Any link yet?? Is it YouTube or me??
  12. Crazy not to start devlin. Home game and he’s fit and on form. Nations league too, glorified friendly, when did ralston last play a full game or even decent minutes. Besides for Scotland?? ingrigued by Conway too, woukd be nice to have a decent striker. Dykes has done a decent job but not a natural scorer. A little surprised at mcginn but he’s been shit for Scotland of late and this line up has better natural shape.
  13. Showing my age here. Can someone post a link to the game, can’t seem to find it!
  14. Not just vision, it’s not an easy pass, especially from a standing position with very limited back swing. I’d say a better pass than the McGrath-sokler at parkhead and that certainly got praise. I will add it’s the first game nisbet has impressed me. Lively sharp and hard working, plus got some decent attempts on goal. Sokler doesn’t really create that much for himself, nisbet looked fit and hungry!
  15. Score definitely flattered us and the penalty save was huge. Agree most of the subs had a positive impact. Still think morris is best off the bench, but I’d really like to see Vinny start on the left if McGrath is out for a few games. I also think duk can have the impact morris does in the second half if fresh, just don’t think he does enough as a starter. I highlighted nisbet because I thought he looked a step quicker and sharper, and a goal and an assist was a great return from him. I see nisbet regaining his starting position next game.
  16. Meh performance but good enough, and a good bounce back win. strange to say that for a 4-1 game. Not unlike the hearts game and one or two others where our opponents didn’t take chances. Our press has been a little off and I dont think we’ve been as sharp, but the first 15 mins of the second half won the game. While we have missed sivert, palaversa played well. I will add, thought nisbet looked lively and sharp for a first time this season. Maybe we picked it up second half or Dundee got worse, stroll in the end. Job done.
  17. Should have subbed topi before his goal. Meh haha! 2-0 , what a change in fortune.
  18. Prefer topi but duk is doing more. Goal aside, nisbet and morris please.
  19. Very even game. We’ve been meh so far. Miss sivert in the middle and mcgrath’s creativity. easy to blame sokler but he hasn’t done much, nisbet will replace him sooner than later. Also expect the usual Morris topi sub. Would prefer Vinny on the left, maybe duk at 10??
  20. Molloy. Again. Ffs. Thank you Mitov.
  21. No sivert or McGrath. Don’t mind palaversa getting a start, opportunity for him and the reason we have 3 for 2 there. Sivert injured/suspended?? McGrath out for a month??
  22. Her campaign was pretty much bash trump and try to scare people. She was asked a number of times what she would have done differently in the last 4 years and she stated she really wouldn’t have done anything differently which stunned many normal people who have really struggled with the last 4 years. Her messaging was that it would be more of the same. And that wasn’t what the majority of public needed or wanted. late in her campaign the friction between her and Biden became apparent and she started to distance herself but it was too late. She tried to talk policies but could not get out messaging that people needed or wanted to hear. The fact she didn’t do press conferences, unscripted interviews, or generally talk like a normal person hurt her big time. the dems in general are heading in the wrong direction to most here which is why I don’t believe any other dem candidate would be much different. Why a number of dems who dislike trump sided with and or voted trump. I think the number of people who voted dem is down, and they didn’t all vote trump or another candidate, they just couldn’t vote for more of the same. Post election the media have been asking if the dems will reflect and change their agenda to matters that the majority of the public are concerned about, the main three being economy, immigration, and crime. All three the dems have damaged. Back to Kamala, she scared the shit out of people with the way she ran things in California, and San Fran’s decline is partly her responsibility. Drugs, crime, homelessness, way up in what was a stunning city. Businesses are leaving San Fran and California because it has gone to shit. Lastly, when people saw things like her being interviewed saying she would be putting parents of truant children in jail for example, it became more apparent she is more of a radical left and people can accept.
  23. Really hoping for clarkson starting and him getting back to normal, McGrath left. Think we are a better passing team with both, duk’s very individual and hard to predict, even for his team mates. If McGrath is out I wouldn’t mind Vinny getting the start. as mentioned, we’re due a game to click and smash someone, at the same time, given last week any win is acceptable!
  24. For the most part I dont see it as a slagging match although it’s what I’ve been used to over here for years. For that reason I’m just really explaining my side but won’t get into the deeper convo of guns, abortion, immigration , the economy etc. You get extreme views from both sides, and it’s obviously a very passionate topic. i do factor in where people live and do feel that if you don’t live here you dont fully understand what is happening. For that reason I will ask where you are getting your info and how much you’ve heard. If you watch fox or cnn here you hear about two very different countries, and both sides are extremely guilty of exaggerating, partial truths, and lies. id say it’s even like rangers fans across the world who have never lived in scotland or even Britain.. Don’t think they realize what rangers really are. A lot of good happened under trump’s previous presidency which does not get publicized or talked about. You can point to things people didn’t like but that’s every government and leadership. As I repeatedly say, the democratic media machine has been awful over the last 4 years. Plenty of people also spout shite because they are simply negative and like to complain. We take it seriously and actually did something about it, quitting jobs, lives, selling up and starting from scratch 2200 miles away. Don’t think many people would do that and actually do something to make their lives better. my wife and I dont particularly like trump but having lived over here through his presidency and then biden’s, we cannot believe anyone would vote for the dems. I know people feel that way about trump and us. We truly feel the last 4 years have really hurt this country and the world, and we were terrified of another 4 years of this, especially the open border and the bussing/flying of all the illegal immigrants to republican states. The cost of living has gone nuts, we’re middle class, but it’s a real squeeze now. Not only did we move across country, I had to stop being a teacher/educator. Went to moray house in Edinburgh and have been in schools since 1994, but life is so expensive now that I couldn’t afford to stay in that profession so had to find a whole new career at age 50, fuck!. The fact that education has gone to shit made it easier to leave and look for something else, but financially, the economy and what has happened under the dems forced me out of education. i know I’m in the severe minority here but I don’t see trump and Vance as bad as others. Trump is an awful speaker but is often misquoted and lied about. While he can put through executive orders, there’s also a process as you all know and I don’t see him scrapping democracy, this being the last ever election, him being a modern hitler, banning abortion, him starting world war 3, him scrapping the constitution and staying on past another 4 years. I do see him focusing on finance because we send billions overseas when we are is so much debt plus we need to fix things domestically. He will make significant change in government leadership here, like he did 4 years ago. He’s a businessman and fired a lot of underperforming career politicians. Both the dems and republicans have their corrupt pocket lining politicians who don’t do much and they are terrified of trump.
  25. Especially all of the body language in the interview. I know he’s a bit of an awkward guy and not overly comfortable being interviewed, but it certainly suggested he’s not staying despite his love for the club.
