  1. Yup, I am one of the 72 million cunts so far who voted republican. I voted against democratic policy and for ‘normal’ more than I did for trump. I am not an uneducated idiot extremist racist nazi as you’ve heard on most media outlets here for months. I can only comment from my experiences living here. I will add though, having been home in September and talking to my family, it’s amazing the amount of misinformation/bullshit I heard from them regarding the US. The media here is primarily democrat owned and pumps out news opinion/propaganda. Only Fox News gives you republican perspective, not saying they are innocent, but we don’t have fair and impartial news here. I guarantee the news you get over there from US is certainly one sided and not overly truthful. From 2016-2020 I didn’t pay that much attention to politics and life seemed good. I was financially secure and could afford a house and a mortgage. I lived in LA, expensive place, and heavily democratic. Each year things got more left, the homeless got worse, and I stopped enjoying living in California. I was a teacher, a very left leaning profession, and was required to attend the People of Color Conference every year where I learned wokism, DEI, and white guilt/privilege. Trump at the end of his term gained the joys of Covid. Under Biden I was fired from my six figure job for not getting vaccinated, my kids were kicked out of school because their parents weren’t submitting proof of vaccination. We didn’t have Covid ID cards so couldn’t go to shops, sports venues, and bars/restaurants for a significant period of time. The homeless tents and breaking bad RVs lined the streets (and I lived in Sherman oaks, a very nice area). There were used needles littering the streets, and most mornings I would find homeless people bathing and washing clothes in our pool. Crime increased significantly and I started only walking my dogs in certain places and before 10pm. All major cities here are democratically run here and are all going to shit, especially those in democratic states. You can easily read and see this info online. Democratic policy is killing this country so I moved to Florida for ‘freedom’ and a safe happy and healthy life for my children. My wife and I brought our kids here, we had no jobs, had to find a house, and start again. Life here is normal, people are normal. I do not see Florida as a state full of far right extremist fascists as I heard on MSNBC today. biden was a pawn. He didn’t run the country. Harris is another pawn. Neither did unscripted interviews or events and rarely spoke in public. Any democratic candidate would have been set up that way. It’s a machine. They campaigned on orange extremist fascist man is bad and he’s horrible. CNN today were crushed today and said that they should have said this more often. they didn’t say that people are struggling and hurting and simply wants a government to address inflation, crime, immigration etc. It’s so expensive here now, we complain about cost every day. Many of my friends cannot afford to buy houses, the costs here have sky rocketed. Energy costs a fortune. The country is in so much debt and sending endless funds abroad instead of fixing their own problems. The southern border is tragic. Crime is way up. In my opinion the democrats caused so many of these problems, it didn’t have to go this way. Under trump and the republicans life seemed so much better and that’s why he won, we want that back. So many feel this way, and many don’t particularly like trump. He’s not that popular, he admits that too. It’s a vote and statement on bad policy. We didn’t have the crime, border issues, housing crisis, inflation, trump was an America first guy. I’m ok with that, we have so many issues here we have to address. Re abortion, trump stated during his campaign many times that he’s giving abortion decisions to each state. He has also softened his stance on abortion and is not looking to take the rights of women away as you hear from certain media outlets. delighted with today and happy to be a cunt if that’s what this means. I truly believe this is the first step in heading back towards more common sense and normal, and this will have a positive effect outside of the US too in my opinion.
  2. trump would have beaten any democrat candidate because the country has gone ‘bad.’ That’s why you’ve seen republicans win the popular vote for the first time in 20 years. It’s a massive push back on policy and the direction of the country. Im not a trump fan but life has gone to shit under the democrats. You won’t get it unless you live here and have experienced first hand the change in the last 4 years. not going to talk a lot about this as you all blasted me about this 4 years ago when I said the democrats in power would be way worse than republicans and trump.
  3. Not at all. He won because the left is heading in the wrong direction. Immigration economy crime are massive issues. The country has gone to shit in the last 3 plus years (you could argue the world too.) so many campaigned that it was policy and party and not personality, trump himself repeatedly said you may not like me but the country is going in the wrong direction.
  4. I’ll take your jimmy mcgarry and raise you Chris forrester! Actually got me thinking about loanees we’ve brought in mid season. Certainly want Mackenzie to sign the new contract but would take Max Lowe back in a heartbeat. At Sheffield Wednesday presently but can’t tell if he’s a regular starter. Plus Barry Bannan is club captain there so it can’t be that high a level!
  5. Let’s end this. I’m not looking for a back up left back. I just gave you reasons why I felt if a full back was a priority it should be left over right. Didn’t get why you felt right back should be our main issue. In an ideal world we sign a player who can play both.
  6. You’re losing track of the initial point. You said a right back is a priority, I said left back is more of a priority than right. But neither are my priority. Our right back is the only Aberdeen player in the Scotland squad and having an excellent season. Just signed a new contract too. His back up is a young up and comer, a u21 internationalist. While not a perfect right back, a good and flexible/adaptable back up. As you say, a second top player as back up would be nice but Milne is fine for now. our left back has not signed a new contract and his back up is, so far from what we’ve seen, weaker than the right back second option and barely gets played. I think our left side should be a priority over right, but, as I said, a new 9 would be my priority.
  7. To an extent. Morris, Gueye, and Ambrose have all shown thelin that they have something to offer, and he’s given them time. Why has mcgarry not played? He’s a wing back or left mid and not really a left back from what I gather. It’s my understanding that he came here with a reputation for strong going forward and a little suspect defending. When we were desperate for width he had an opportunity but didn’t take it, Vinny did more and gets the minutes. A back 4 and consistency of personnel is a biggie too hence much less rotation. Milne is younger with more of an upside. I’d like to have seen him at holding mid when we were stuck, that window has well and truly shut. Happy to see him get back up minutes for now, wouldn’t mind seeing a new left sooner than later especially if jack is on his way (certainly hope not!)
  8. Correct. And while I want Mackenzie to stay, if we can get a loanee with the option to buy or a permanent replacement for jack, we do that! mcgarry has done very little to suggest he belongs, Milne has played minutes and has potential.
  9. Correct, I said it’s not his natural position. He’s played once at central defense but the rest of the time it’s right back so I think management is fine with him at right back. And he’s played more than mcgarry this season. Mackenzie hasn’t signed a new contract and mcgarry is not a left back, why prioritize right back over left? as I said, i‘m more eager to get a goal scoring center forward. I don’t think right back is a big issue at present.
  10. We have Milne as back up who plays more than mcgarry. No? I don’t think it’s milne’s best position, or natural position, but it appears he’s trusted more to fill in than mcgarry yet people seem to say RB is priority??
  11. Not saying Motherwell winning today eliminates my sadness of yesterday, but it’s a huge help! Love a failing rangers on and off the pitch. Can motherwell hang on!?!?
  12. Find it interesting people think RB is a priority. Probably a curse but devlin is durable and fit. Milne is capable short term. Perhaps polvara if we are desperate. Why RB and not LB? Devlin signed a new contract, no clue the situation with Mackenzie, and Milne appears to be a more capable back up than mcgarry. I’m assuming Jensen will be sold in the summer as he’s not a regular and that’s what he wants, hence he’s presently on loan. we don’t have a regular scoring 9 but we are creating chances. I think that should be a January priority. Obviously no panic buy, got to be capable, available, and affordable. I’d also send Ambrose out on loan. I like sokler but he misses more than he should. I am not overly impressed with nisbet to date. Still looks heavy and sluggish. Unless we are considering nisbet as a permanent buy I don’t know if I’d keep him for the season if there’s a better option in January.
  13. I blame STFU_Donny. Sold me his northern light top, got it this week. Gorgeous. The shirt, not Donny. Decided not to wear it for the rangers game but I made my debut with it yesterday. I feel had he not sold me it we’d have won yesterday. it wasn’t bottle yesterday. Celtic were on and once they scored went for the kill. They punished every error we made. We were flat and regardless of what jimmy said, Wednesday was a factor. They were fresh and sharp, we were not. Our mistakes were punished, simple as that, then you don’t want to push up and press too much when you are getting smashed. I did think at the time bookings were a factor too, especially ruby after 15 mins, we weren’t so feisty after that. I think it’s as simple as that. Wouldn’t say it was bottle. dont hear anyone over reacting, just got to get back on it for Dundee. Like that jimmy didn’t blame, plus like his comments about wanting to be in Europe and playing three games weekly. re squad and signings, do think we need a 9. Id say Celtic score the one chance sokler missed yesterday. We need a sharp goal scorer that scares the shit out defenders. Think we had that in bojan. We have confidence players, and players on form. Still feel we upgrade and add depth with a right back, left and right mid, and a forward, most likely next summer. Our depth certainly isn’t as strong, even rangers are deeper as pish as they are, and I don’t see duk, morris, Gueye, Milne, Ambrose, mcgarry, and Macdonald as good enough to regularly start. Celtic brought in six good enough. Very hard to keep everyone happy in these situations.
  14. They were clinical for sure, did mitov even make a save today? Think they scored every shot. we sat back, intentionally or not, and the game was all Celtic from the start. I don’t recall it being that bad two weeks ago. We were never on the front foot and I’m sure that was jimmy’s issue. Shit first goal from shit zonal marking, shit second goal from mistakes. After that I really stopped paying attention as it was clear at that point we didn’t have it today. We were flat and I think it’s fair to say we needed a week to recover from the rangers game. We don’t have the depth Celtic do to replace 6 that would make us better.
  15. Next 5 - Dundee at home, away to st mirren, hibs, hearts, then Celtic at home. while today hurts and 6 is brutal, beating Celtic is hard. No shame on losing to them. The next 4 and maintaining/stretching the lead over 3rd is huge before we see them again. rangers are home to hearts, united, away to st Johnstone, home to killie, then in dingwall. As pish as they are, they are next 3 of 4 at home and I’d expect 12-15 points in those 5. We are 3 of 4 away before Celtic at home, tough run. Big response needed to the month ahead.
  16. We were found out today but we are still best of the rest. Still think duk and morris are bench players, duk especially drove me nuts today. Dive dive dive and complain, did nothing else. We were fatigued, pretty clear, they brought in six who had rested all week. Not much you can do there. not a fan of our zonal defending, all season we’ve given chances from set plays because we are not tight enough. Easy first goal for them today against a player we should definitely be locking up and preventing getting a header. would like us to get back to the topi clarkson McGrath midfield three, we’re a better team with three players who are technical. saying that I’d still play topi ahead of Morris but maybe inclined to start Vinny over McGrath, he’s been off of late, besides the Celtic assist. we needed a week to recover from the rangers game, this is what it is. If anything it’s ‘only’ the cup. Champions league is a real possibility, got to get back on it against Dundee and build momentum again as we have more away than home games coming up.
  17. Reality check today. We’ve made mistakes this season and not been punished. Punished for what we did wrong today and the one chance we get we miss. Ruthless Celtic and a good lesson for the players that we can get much better.
  18. Lewis Ferguson played the last 10 mins, good to see him back fit. Beat Rama’s lecce 1-0.
  19. Almost as embarrassing as the last 15 mins. Just don’t have the fire and passion, couple of mistakes with a set piece goal and a poor counter. excuse I know, but flat from Wednesday. hook duk and topi. Morris to the right, McGrath left. Shinnie further forward with oalaversa alongside sivert. nothing to lose.
  20. No arguing with you as I have never seen him play, but shankland was a good finisher with limited pace. Why Anderson over shankland?
  21. I still, using my head, think Celtic will beat us. Bigger budget and better players, plus they are used to and expect to win. And we had a very emotional and exhausting game on Wednesday. But this time is different, we are on a major run and we have a manager who can do no wrong. Every time we have been questioned we’ve more than answered. Why not today, as I said before, Celtic are due a shock domestic loss and we’re due a cup win over Celtic..??!?
  22. Funny, agree midfield doesn’t need touched when we had no midfield or width last year and we were awful there. Topi sivert palaversa have been very good signings and a reborn Morris and Vinny give us depth that are good enough for now. agree we need a 9. I don’t think nisbet is the answer and sokler and Ambrose give us depth. Gueye is an attacking player who gives you depth in all 4 attacking positions but I don’t see him as our main 9, or even a regular starter. really want to know where we stand with McGrath and McKenzie. Think we need to look at a contingency plan and a legit left mid/winger may be the right thing to do, perhaps giving us better balance in midfield. Maybe the young Aussie we were linked with?? i don’t agree we haven’t spent the bojan money, it’s not just paying for players but also signing on fees, salaries and new contracts (eg devlin). I do believe adding topi, sivert, palaversa, and Ambrose also adds up to decent money. Adding say a 32 yr old in January could be an option, but I’d be more likely to look at pre contracts this summer and ride out the season. Although could a legit center forward be the difference between 1st and 2nd or 2nd and 3rd, both having significant financial ramifications.
  23. Is that 5 years after we win the league? Five years in champions league??
  24. I don’t know jimmy obviously, and less than all of you in Scotland. based on what I’ve read, and heard him say, the way he conducts relationships, his affection/care for the clubs he has managed etc, I think we have him for 3 years minimum. He’s also openly talked about this being a 3 year plan (initially.) it was clear he cared for elfsborg, he didn’t leave until the end of the season. He apparently told us the previous season we should hire Robson since he’s earned it. He cares about clubs, has morals, brings a ‘we’ and ‘family’ approach. I also think this approach is perfect for us, a family club. And I think what has happened here with him so far is special and far from guaranteed at every club. The fans and players appear to love him and vice cersa. Obviously he’ll approach each club he manages differently, but I don’t think his approach works for every club. it’s early doors and things can go to shit. Successful managers have been sacked the following season. I think for us we try our best to keep Peter leven happy, he made a very good impression on us and the team last season. Hopefully he learns the ins and outs of thelin and perhaps takes over if and when the time comes.
  25. Thelin to the Huns? Ambrose to Real Madrid?
