  1. Well, got what we deserved, better team won. Good finish from tavarnier to be fair. While we weren’t bad we weren’t good. No shots on goal means we can’t score. Created virtually nothing the entire game. Little composure on the ball in the middle of the park for much of the game, although second half was better. Beginning to dislike duk, he’d rather dive/fall than keep going. He had the beating of his man 2-3 times but prefers to dive rather than see what he can create. I felt he could have created more than the free kicks he won gave us. We’re also poor from set plays, got nothing. interesting to see if our league form can pick up, we’re really not that far off third but need to go on a winning run. we’re pretty painful to watch though, hoping post Xmas and January bring those 2-3 players that change our season.
  2. Switch it off and lock the doors?
  3. Great win for us today, two good wins in a row to take into the final. Good win for the Huns too I’ll reluctantly acknowledge but I don’t think that mattered. Pretty sure the travel and that game took more out of their players than ours extended tonight. Plus nothing like topping your euro group and advancing to the last 16, then back down to earth with a cup final loss to wee Aberdeen.
  4. How dare you! Morris is pure quality!
  5. Kinda aroused thinking about this, send or dadia packing and recall Richardson, Morris and Richardson double team pounding our opponents down the right, we’ll have third locked up by Valentine’s Day!
  6. Package deal, manager and player, plus the central defender they had last year, worth a look?
  7. Any transfer gossip??? I’m assuming McKenna is being transferred in January given he’s been punted to training with the reserves or equivalent, that may bring some funds our way. hoping dadia and Williams move back to their clubs, that frees up two loaner spots if their is such a thing. Wonder if the priority is some width to allow us to play more than just a 3-5-2. While we’re all delighted morris is back, I think we have to sign a right mid and with that we have the players to play 4-4-2 or at least a team with wingers/width from midfield. I think Mackenzie, Hayes, and Jensen have left back covered and I’d like to see mcgarry given a run at left mid. Sign a right mid and a Rama replacement and I think we’re good. priority 1 has to be the center mid, and more regarding baccus, out of contract in the summer??
  8. I’m 50, been watching is since 82. He’s god awful!! Makes Darren Mackie look like Messi. Just because he has pace doesn’t make him a player.
  9. Likewise, hate to be negative but we are horrible. Better second half and for some the win papers over our clear flaws. Robson is clearly not the guy to take us forward. Our squad balance is shit too and I’m so over this 3-5-2. what the fuck with line up today, it’s not squad rotation, what are we trying to do with sokler and Macdonald? Why play a center mid/central defender at right wing back. Good way to fuck up a kid. our midfield is poor. Very little link play between mids and forwards, still so much long ball. duk today showed he’s a good sub to have. Come on with fresh legs and speed and try hard. Did his job. morris is the worst player I’ve even seen play for us. Despite the one cross for the duk header I think he’s so bad. good win but we’re not an enjoyable watch most games.
  10. Just listened to Robson, devlin in the middle and Milne wing back…. just as well we have Macdonald Williams and ruby. Our best player this season now in central defense ffs.
  11. Sorry, but what the fuck is Robson doing?? Duk and sokler switched again, no ruby or Macdonald?? Inconsistent selections and formations will always get you inconsistent performances. Then again we have pretty much been consistently shite… Milne is a holding midfielder that played right wing back recently. Now we have him devlin and gartenmann all starting. No clue what formation or positions…..
  12. Not quite sure what we need? New manager? New director of football? New formation? The last transfer window was heavily influenced by a 3-5-2 and duk, where the fuck do we go from here??
  13. Don’t get why we went away from sokler, was solid against rangers and played ok v hibs. Duk is a one season wonder.
  14. Absolutely worth it. Got to start somewhere. Funds from this year will help us reinvest in the squad. While we’re shit under Robson we’re still only 10 points off third with a game in hand, couple of strong signings and 3rd is well in reach. Then Europe repeats itself but we’re better prepared.
  15. If there’s interest any chance of getting a player or two plus cash? Mikey Johnson, ralston, vata?? Ship has sailed obviously with scales. Or are they out of our wage structure?
  16. That’s great! 3rd by Christmas!!!
  17. I’d actually like to see a back 3 of ruby Macdonald and Jensen, closest to the three of last year, Macdonald can cover for ruby’s errors. Gartenmann has shown enough that he can go forward, play him at right wing back. Put devlin in with shinnie and clarkson/mcgrath, closest to the three of last year too. A much needed two grafters with one finesse player. Go to continue with miovski and soklar up top. 3-1 us, miovski 2 and sokler
  18. I’ll also add, as much as I don’t think Robson is the man to take us long term, we’re 10 points off third and a game in hand. Get to the cup final and win, gives you a boost. Go on a run similar to last year and third is ours. However, obviously, we could go on a January Goodwin run too. rethinking today, I don’t see us much these days, but today wasn’t that bad. It wasn’t purely long ball and we created a lot. Defensively we’ve been shaky all year, not just today, think it’s time to switch ruby for Macdonald. As mentioned too, miovski had a rare off day, he alone could have easily scored 3 or 4 and he wasn’t the only guilty party. We missed very good chances, played better today than the hibs game at pittodrie for sure, and better than a number of games this season. At the same time, it’s all about winning and it’s another game under Robson where we failed.
  19. I actually don’t think we played that badly in attack. We created a few chances and on our day win that scoring 4 or 5. two shit goals to lose, thought mcgarry was weak, and I still feel if we play two up top, be that bojan and one other, we cannot afford McGrath and clarkson, we need two grafters. Too powderpuff in center mid and we exposed the back 3 way too much plus too vulnerable to the counter.
  20. Poor in center mid so far, on the defensive side. Hibs wide open too often infront of our back 3. McGrath and clarkson don’t provide the graft/defensive competitiveness , something we’ve seen all year. Back 3 haven’t been great but it’s infront of them we have to tighten up. we’re creating chances, just got to fix the back 3 long ball and the holding mid/space in front of them.
  21. I’m very happy with that, three teams that are hit and miss much like scotland, and Germany who are not consistent. Opening game against the hosts with the pressure definitely on them. Very interesting/exciting!
  22. Bit harsh. I think it’s manc who rates him? He came here with a good record and had been capped/looking to get more caps for New Zealand. Was thrown in a little at the deep end, hopefully despite the injury he’s more settled now. I think that all means something. There was nothing to suggest from his past that Gurr was ever a player. anyway, between Hayes and mcgarry left wing back is not a concern of mine. Think sokler showed today he’s worth a few games, I’d argue duk is no longer an unknown and opponents know more how to play him. Give sokler a run to get confidence and sharpness pre cup final and I’d run the two of them, he and miovski, at hampden.
  23. I was thinking about Mackenzie today, think this season he has earned the spot as a solid squad player. But the timing of mcgarry’s return helps and I think with 3-4 weeks of fitness work he’ll be up to speed. Mcgarry has an engine and should force not only tavernier to defend, but has the lungs to track his runs.
  24. Awful second half, very mcinnes like. Must have been a belter of a half time team talk. Get a goal then try to hang on way too early in the game. So disappointed, rangers were there to be beaten. Credit to them for upping their game but a big part of that is due to us. Lucky for a point in the end. Re the penalty, we’d have been crying if we didn’t get it, but at the same time you see that type of holding for every single corner from every team. positives, we didn’t lose, plus Mcgarry got some minutes. Plus win today, tough to go into a final and beat rangers three times in 4 months. Today showed we have to play like the first half in the final. We’ve conceded way too many goals, and late goals, that trying to sit in is not something we’re good at. Go at them and win a final.
  25. Brutal second half so far. Won’t win this at this rate.
