  1. Invite him up for tonight. Take a look and enjoy the atmosphere!! A good sell…..provided we win!
  2. Help me understand that. If we play in the same euro competition as the Huns we lose tv money? So do Celtic gain by rangers not being in the champs league? And would it then better serve us to be the only group stage euro conference team then??? Don’t understand this…
  3. Got criticized by some for saying I don’t give two shits how rangers and Celtic do in Europe, so can I be first to say, congrats to rangers on being the first Scottish team to qualify for the Europa league! Well done Huns
  4. Is he really? Went to England and wasn’t successful. Didn’t leave us at his peak, got sacked, doing ok at killie after finishing 10th, no wow factor there. nothing special and a couple of decent results this year doesn’t really change things. Hibs is a step up.
  5. As we recover from our worst game in a long time, I see Hacken lost 4-2 away to Gothenburg today. Were 4-0 down after 53 mins. hacken 2nd in the league, Gothenburg 12th. Gothenburg had 29% possession!
  6. has to be bavidge on loan, he needs it. Gueye gives us a very different look and I’d guess having four solid players to rotate is the plan. Bavidge is 5, get him out somewhere for the experience and minutes.
  7. Tough one to judge but how did Jensen look? Mcgarry and McGrath??
  8. Mcinnes??
  9. I will add, think today showed that we definitely need a ramadani replacement, need another grafter/battler in there. God help us when shinnie gets injured / suspended. We’re too lightweight, unless Or Dadia can do a job in there.
  10. Thank you, a pragmatist. Almost a dozen new signings, 2 who haven’t even been with us even a week, and one who has just come from the other side of the world. Plus an inexperienced manager dealing with a new season for the first ever time, piecing a team together, blending in new signings some of whom aren’t fit, plus the European situation and trying to qualify for the stronger group tournament. It’s a lot!! I’d say let’s see where we are by maybe the beginning of October? in regard to the league, bar rangers and Celtic (in time), everyone will beat everyone, and it’s who can go on a run and be consistent. I truly believe we’ll get there. three games in with these challenges and we’ve lost one in 3. We’re seeing positives too, even from a shit performance like today, we didn’t lose. killie and st mirren will fall away, we will pick up.

    VAR

I’ll give my two cents. Has var made the game better, no. We’re seeing penalties/goals given that wouldn’t be given, and aren’t even claimed for at times. Even the slightest of offside by a pube is now offside. I’d rather we just stuck with refs and training them to improve. Every game someone looks to var for assistance, that’s not always for the good of the game. I don’t think var has worked.
  12. Ya think??? first impression he impedes miovski and he’s already been booked. It was his second yellow. Plus he takes him out around the neck/head. No brainer if you ask me.
  13. Of course I knew I was right! Said earlier in the week devlin at right wing back and we’ll see goals and assists. Although what’s he doing at the #9 and most advanced position for his goal!?? a week of training with mcgarry mcgrath and Jensen, plus I’m sure they’ll see minutes against st Mirren on Sunday, and that’s three solid additions for the 2nd leg. Assuming Jensen isn’t shite. Looking forward to the team we put out next week, plus a solid result.
  14. How long had Ruby been with us before the livi game?? One day?
  15. Interesting window. Two players today if the Finnish defender is on his way, and a third in a big unit forward. Leaves a very interesting squad, very little creative width and very lightweight in center mid. we’re obviously committed to 3 at the back judging by the defenders we’ve signed. Wing backs in mcgarry and devlin who from what we’ve heard are physical beasts who can run all day. Back up morris has pace, and Hayes and Mackenzie will be decent on the left. Or dadia can play right wing back too from what I gather. has me wondering if polvara and now or dadia are intended to be the central midfielders, the latter obviously a question mark given we’ve seen so little. Still think our final signing should be the flood/Rama/heikkinen type if we get one more. duk, miovski, sokler, and gueye would be solid depth and different ways of playing. roos ruby Macdonald jennsen devlin clarkson shinnie mcgarry mcgrath miovski duk interesting best 11 given if we can call it that. Still think adding a Rama type and benching McGrath is a better option.
  16. To an extent, and I’m not saying both start every week, but we are overly reliant on clarkson. I also see clarkson as a little deeper. Can’t have enough flair in my eyes, need that magic, especially when we have no wingers.
  17. I’ll go against the grain here. I’m happy if we get him. Proven player at this level, young enough to improve, internationalist. not an unknown foreigner. And yes, creative 10, dead balls etc. our squad lacks this. Haven’t had this type since Maddison or Christie. And I don’t expect him to be overly expensive. Signing won’t wow people but I’d say similar to devlin, will be good for us. still need a midfield grafter too.
  18. Mcinnes take a class on how to beat the old firm this summer? big cup opportunity now. Wait to you see us draw the Huns away…
  19. Yeah. Found that a little odd that he didn’t come on at all. If you’re on the bench you’re fit to play and Duncan was poor.
  20. I think we were good against Celtic in a big game, we’ve got to remember that. We were poor (ish) yesterday but let’s not overreact. I think it’s Macdonald in for morris and move devlin to right wing back. Hayes for Duncan if he’s fit enough then the rest is the same. While morris hasn’t been as shite it’s clear to see to all, including Robson, that he’s limited. Away from home too it makes sense to go with the more solid defender at wing back too, so haves and devlin make more sense. can’t see a center mid being signed and playing Thursday unless it’s a big time signing.
  21. Interesting that a league one side made our left side look quite vulnerable tonight. Liam Scales anyone? it’s one game but the first game in a long time we’ve looked vulnerable at the back and lose a really shitty goal where our defending is awful.
  22. I don’t agree. Morris got into plenty of good attacking positions, beat his man quite a lot, but more often than not his final product was poor. He’s a modern day Darren Mackie, all pace and little else. If we want to be a better team he’s a squad filler at best. For the Hacken game I’d prefer devlin at wing back with Macdonald slotting in to the back three, devlin will get assists and probably goals too. From the first three games I think we see Mackenzie Duncan polvara and morris should still be coming off the bench. Maybe they’ll develop further but right now we’re not that good starting these guys. Also don’t really see a lot in Barron to be honest. As for today, I thought shinnie and ruby were poor too. Just a one off for them, we know what Shinnie is like and first two games ruby looked solid. I also think duk was poor, took him a couple of months to find form last season, perhaps same again? Although he’s not carrying the weight he did this time last year. Ultimately we are through to the QF and it’s a win, home draw please!
  23. Still crickets……?!??
  24. As I said, plenty of coefficient implications. Of course them doing well benefits us and it’s so much harder doing it alone. I just don’t give to shits whether they succeed. Much like taking pleasure in England losing.
  25. Plenty of coefficient implications so I’m sure I should feel differently, but I don’t give a fuck about other Scottish teams in Europe. Quite enjoy seeing them fail actually.
